Chapter 23: Hiding
Even the gripping night had arrived, no one dared to relax. Through the ventilation holes we can still hear the sounds of screaming and howling in the distance.
Robert and I stood guard in front of the entrance, while the others prepared with firearms in their hands ready to lead to something daring to enter through the hole.
Afraid that the smell of food would provoke the monsters, I told the others to hold back the hunger until morning. The human body is actually strong enough to survive without food for a few days as long as the need for water remains met.
So from at least for their own lives all have to endure hunger for the next 12 hours.
Time after time passed, under a constant state of high alert it was very natural for everything to become exhausted.
Looking at the watch that shows 20:00 at least we have 10 hours left to defend tonight. Since so far the situation is still safe and under control, I told the others to rest for a while while myself and Robert would stand guard for the next 2 hours before taking turns.
While the others rested, only I, Robert, and the sound of howling never stopped from the outside.

A team of 6 people appeared to have multiple injuries on their bodies. Not far from them, there was a corpse from the Hound that had many bloody wounds on its body. From the many scratches and blood marks on the floor, it was clear that this group had just finished taking out the Hound monster
If you look back, this team is the same team that was previously drawn into this dimension together and on their way they meet other women before inviting her into the group to find a way out together.

Fortunately the Hound itself would not directly attack someone it met thus giving them time to set up the best strategy to kill the monster.
Due to the absence of firearms, all cold weapons such as machetes, swords, axes were used to fight monsters.
But despite being prepared with the best plan and strategy, in the end the facts on the pitch will be much different from what this team thinks.
The lack of information became one of the main factors that led to heavy losses from the fighting factor. No one said that the monster really had a really strong power.
In the end, they managed to kill the monster. But in the end the price to pay was very expensive, many of the teams were severely injured and one of the men lost his left hand in the process of trying to stop the monster from moving.
" Silva hang on, I'll bandage your wounds first" Hellen said.
The man named Silva simply nodded while enduring the immense pain from his torn arm.
While the other two men, Albert and Richard were also busy covering up the injuries they received from the Hound although not as severe as Silva had experienced. The last two women were Giselle and Sarah, both of whom also helped Albert and Richard to cover their wounds.
Sarah is the only one who isn't a native of this group, although she tries to help fight monsters. But with his small physique many worry that he will only be a prey for this monster.
Therefore even if he had provided some assistance in the previous attack, it could only be said to be a small help. Because of that he was busy going around and around picking up P3K boxes and dressing up other wounds.
After some time, after feeling the condition of everyone has started to stabilize. The team rested in this place at once to prepare themselves for what would be behind the next door.
When everyone decided to take a break, Sarah took the initiative to stand guard accompanied by Gisell.

As Gisell was telling a story, Sarah looked around as the corner of her eyes caught the small figure carrying a large bag standing silently staring at the two.
Sarah who saw that was shocked and took her sword. Gisell who followed Sarah's gaze also realized the figure of the entity, and immediately ran back to wake the others.
Everything then gets ready and alert to the entities that emerge from behind the darkness. But even for some time there were no signs of aggression from the entity and neither did the team dare to attack directly.
After some more time, the entity was the one that moved first. Without moving from the spot, the entity extended its small hand to the team.
No one understands from the actions of the entity does the entity want to get acquainted?
Silva was the first to move forward slowly followed by Albert and Richard who each walked by his side.
As the distance between the two was getting closer, the team members started to tense up but there was still no sign of the movement of the entity. As for them at a distance of him meters, at this distance if there was anything unexpected they would instantly attack the entity mercilessly.
But even after a while there were still no signs of movement of the entity. Silva closed his eyes before opening his eyes again with renewed determination, putting his sword beside Silva then trying to shake hands with the rest of his remaining hands.
As Silva grasped the small hands of the entity he could feel how cold the hands were even with gloves on.
After a few moments of shaking hands, the entity appeared to still have no additional actions that left team members confused.
Although these entities seem harmless and invading, in the end they are still confused what do they want here? why extend a hand.
Sarah who thought fast, looked carefully at the entity.The entity seemed to be carrying a large bag that had a lot of goods, and whether the purpose of reaching out was to transact?
To prove the hypothesis, Sarah takes one of the flashlights on her side and tries to hand it over to the entity.
Others are confused, but when the entity receives a flashlight in its hand. The entity then keeps a flashlight inside his shirt before taking something from inside the bag and handing it to Sarah.
The object that was handed to Sarah was a small tube with a lid and syringe inside with a small Epinephrine inscription on the surface of the tube.
At first glance the object looked like a drug, but Giselle who had some knowledge in the medical field immediately exclaimed when she saw the object in Sarah's hand.
" It's an Adrenaline Drive!! "
No one does not know what Adrenaline Drive is, knowing how the entity works eventually others start to make some transactions.
And although most of the things that these entities give are random, some are big profits.
One of them was obtained by Silva, he exchanged a can of dry food in exchange for a 1911 Colt-type firearm.

It also provoked ill will from Albert and Richard, but in the end both were held back by Silva for not taking rash action.
They do not know for sure about this entity, if this entity is a very dangerous entity when attacked. Then this team will be finished soon, after all, they have not chosen enough from the previous battle.
After exchanging a few more times, the entity did not issue any more firearms like before.
Knowing that they finished transacting, this entity also began walking back into the darkness while being stared at by the team members.
