When Jonathan Meet Erin

The soft hand was rubbed occasionally, Jonathan's grip on Erin was not released and he did not care if Andika or Rani were to look. Even to his mother Erin Jonathan seemed blatantly concerned for Erin who was now starting to be thin because she did not get up and improve.

"You come here too often what about your work ? let Erin I take care of her."

Jonathan tightened Erin's grip and fell silent, Jonathan was kind to his mother Erin and tried his best to show her sincerity. "It's okay aunt."

"You know Erin's getting married ?."

"Yes aunty, I know exactly what happened to Erin."

"Then ?."

"If I may want to be close to Erin, we used to be friends until now."

"I can see that you have other desires, I as a parent just want the best for my son, but Erin is not aware now so I let you get close to Erin now, don't know if he's up."

"Yes my aunt understands."

Day by day all the people closest to Erin prayed for her healing and it was true that the prayer was granted by God. Erin opened her eyes just as the doctor was doing the examination, all shocked instead of being puffed up.

"Please wait outside." Said the nurse at a time when everyone wanted to see Erin who had woken up from a long sleep.

After the doctors had done their re-examination they entered the room, "Erin you remember me, how much is this ?." Andika raised her two fingers and pointed at Erin but did not get any response.

"Rin you can't see ?." Rani asked with fear when the doctor said all of Erin's senses were in good condition but indeed her body had not recovered properly.

"Two." Erin replied briefly and all smiled in relief.

"Lind blind chirain Rin." Spontaneous Andika said that and immediately felt pain as her arm was pinched by Rani. "Ran's Pain."

"Where ? Where's Raihan's mas ?."

Instantly their smiles disappeared because of Erin's question, instead of not wanting to tell just that they were afraid Erin would be shocked when she just woke up.

"He's still in treatment, the doctor won't let anyone see him first."

All turned to Mother, not least Jonathan who did not expect that Mother would hide this truth from Erin that her son's husband was gone even when the age of marriage was still a corn.

"Is the wound so severe Mother ?."

"Yes but don't worry about Raihan recovering soon, you should be healthy soon too."

"Yes Mother."

After Erin rested, Mother finally invited all Erin's friends to come out and was about to say something. A quiet place becomes an option after Mother ensures that this place is safe.

"Mother why hide this from Erin ?." Rani asked first because she wanted an answer, she had been silent because she was confused about what to do while the mother only told lies.

"Then how ? There's no way we should lie to Erin, sooner or later Erin will know. If it's not from us it's from someone else." Anger and disappointment appear to be one, although this choice taken by the mother Erin Jo still have to respect.

"On that I will be responsible, I beg you not to tell me now about her husband Erin who died, just temporarily."

"Good mother."

All agreed that they were heartless and felt haunted by feelings of guilt when visiting Erin, but on the other hand this might be the best way. Especially when seeing Erin's condition improving.

"Good morning." Jo pulled her lips together in a smile to greet Erin this morning, unfortunately the smile was only in reply with a sense of awkwardness and discomfort. Jo felt a bit sad about the gal.

"You come here every day, don't work ?." Erin's first question this morning was when Jo replaced the flowers in the vase with fresh, new flowers.

"I'll work later after seeing you, how's the nurse doing ?." Jo asked the nurse after checking on Erin's condition.

"Everything is good, later do not forget the porridge must be eaten, doctor Erin, I'm sorry first."

Jo took the porridge and was about to feed it to Erin, usually the mother who feeds but before the mother said she had to work and because keeping Erin too long made her can no longer permit so she had to take turns keeping Erin in the hospital.

"Let's open his mouth, your stomach must be filled."

Erin did not open her mouth at all, she took the spoon and plate from Jonathan's hand with a flat face. "I can eat alone, as a wife I have to keep my distance and boundaries with men other than my husband, I hope you understand Jo."

Jo's gaze turned sad, Erin was married but she is now a widow but it is recognized by Jo that Erin is very loyal even though she does not know that her husband is dead. "Erin if you only knew that Raihan was dead, how unfortunate your fate would be." Speak in the heart.

No offense at all, even Jo felt sorry for Erin's current condition. It was better like this, Erin still felt like she had a husband and it was better than telling her painful things that would worsen Erin's condition later.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, you yourself said we could be best friends right ? Then let's just say that I'm your best friend who will take care of you, isn't Andika also like that ?."

Erin thought and nodded, now the situation was not as awkward as before so Jo became a little relieved. Little by little Jo will make Erin forget her pain. And if it's possible then Jo will take care of Erin forever.

"Excuse me."

Someone came, two middle-aged people entered Erin's room. As soon as they saw Erin's condition they reviewed the smile and gave a questionable look at Jo's presence there.

"Mama papa." Said Erin who turned out to be visited by her two in-laws. "Oh yeah this is Jonathan my friend since High School."

"How are you, sorry we just got to see you now. We take care of Raihan first."

"Yes, it's okay, Raihan, how is his condition because I haven't been able to visit him all this time, he's been better, right ?."

All staring confused especially Jo at this time which is like freezing, he does not know what to do. Should he lie but his father-in-law Erin herself was not told about having to hide this reality from Erin, then what should ?.

"You don't know yet ? Raihan was already dead when you crashed on the plane, he wasn't saved and we've been taking care of his funeral."
