Alven sits in front of Eden in the secret room of the Alphrolone school hall. He downed the warm tea provided by the man bearing the title of the principal.
"I never thought I could get help from the master of Eden."
Eden smiled broadly. He seemed happy to meet his old friend. With his heavy voice, he said, "Why don't you take off your disguise magic? I want to see your true form."
Alven nodded his head and immediately transformed himself into the original form, Hugo. Her hair, which was jet black, faded and became slightly grayish. The structure of his face was slightly changed from before. He has completely turned into Hugo, the man Louise is looking for.
"Thank you so much for helping me, Master. If it wasn't for your help, I might have died at the hands of the royal guard" said Alven, who had been transformed into Hugo.
"Oh, are you being chased by the royal guard? I don't know, I just felt a familiar energy near my protector."
Hugo was slightly surprised by the statement made by Eden. He had never seen, let alone sensed the presence of a protector around him. He just ran to save himself.
Hugo gave a smile. It seems like it was his lucky day. Otherwise, how could he possibly meet his master.
"How hurt? I'm not a healer-type magic holder, I can't cure you. I can't bring a doctor here either. But, it looks like you're treating your wounds quite well" Eden said.
Hugo nodded his head. Actually, he almost died. If Gerald had been late, he might have been a corpse in the secret room.
Eden smiled happily again. However, his gaze came to a halt when he saw a core protector not far from him. The man asked, "Did you make this protector?"
Hugo shook his head. He immediately explained his near-death situation and met one of the disciples there. Hugo didn't mention Gerald's name to his maste**r. I don't know for what reason, he didn't feel the need to tell her.
"Oh~dia is smart enough to also hide the core of the protector in this room," praised Eden.
He did not expect that the protector was made from the new students of his school. He also knew that Levy, the teacher who gave lessons on self-defense, would not give more explanation about the protector.
The woman will only give a ambiguous explanation and not receive any questions. Because, students who do not have magic in this year are more than in previous years.
Eden stepped his feet closer to the core of the protector in the form of a dark black ball. The man touched it to find out what command was inside.
"Hm~command in it is quite detailed and conical. Smart enough, but still this protector has weaknesses," he said.
"Let's bet, Hugo. Will this protector be able to last for a week without the slightest crack, or will it be destroyed before the appointed day?"
Hugo thought for a moment. He was not so sure, but he chose that the protector would manage to survive for a week without the slightest scratch. Eden smiled. The automatic choice left for him was that the protector would be destroyed in less than a week. Too bad, even though he believes the protector can survive. But what can be done, this is a bet.
"What do you want if you're right?" tawar Eden's.
"none. Just offer the owner this protector" Hugo replied.
"Oh, you don't want to give your students gifts?"
Eden seems to have misunderstood Hugo as having taught Gerald about the creation of a powerful protector. Hearing that, Hugo chuckled and shook his head.
"No, I never taught anyone. I just met him, how could I teach him in such a short time" Hugo explained.
Eden nodded her head. It makes sense what Hugo said. Learn to apply the protector for at most two months more, and the fastest maybe a month.
"After all, you don't have to bet on any masters. In fact, if you bet you'd stop being the principal, it wouldn't have any effect on me" Hugo continued.
"Ahaha~you're right too. Besides, I'm not sure I'm gonna win."
Crisp laughter from Eden and Hugo echoed in the secret room. They joked back and asked about each other until the sky turned dark, and no one was aware of the speed of time.
...****************...
Actually, Gerald and his group mates didn't really like this idea. It can be used by other groups to secretly destroy it, and Gerald understands what it's like to have our protectors destroyed by others. It was very painful, like being on the verge of death.
"Gerald, were you okay yesterday?" whisky Mage.
Gerald scrunched his forehead. He was confused as to why his friend asked him about his situation. Though slightly confused, Gerald replied, "It's okay. Why me?"
Kannon and Cecilia were staring at the Mage simultaneously. The girls were also confused about the question of the bespectacled young man beside them.
"Last night, I couldn't sleep, so went around the dorm for a bit. I heard someone say that he destroyed the core protector in the hall. In the hall there are only your protectors and Lacy's, '" Mage explained.
Lacy was shocked. Just right, yesterday, after finishing some cleaning, he felt a pain in his hand. His hands went numb for a few seconds. At first, he thought it was because he was too tired. But, after hearing Mage's words, it might be related.
"Oh~it's okay. Just a little pain in the chest," Gerald said casually.
"Where it might be just a little pain. The man who made the core protector would get the most damage if it were destroyed, Arnold explained."
Everyone nodded in agreement and turned to look at Gerald, asking for an explanation. The reluctant Gerald responded to them, only passing by without answering their curiosity.
"Then, what about the protector in the hall?" ask Ladon.
"Alright kids, let's turn to the hall. We'll see Gerald and Lacy's protectors. Remember, assessment begins today. If any protector is destroyed, then they will automatically fall" said Levy suddenly.
Gerald was silent as he stared at the woman's cynic. He could see that the woman was smiling sideways while looking at him. As if, he knew that his protector was destroyed.
The young man gritted his teeth in annoyance. She was very cunning, like a fox. Gerald can't prove it, but he's convinced that the woman sent some students to make her group fail the test. Just because there's a nulla in it.
Arriving at the hall, the Mage was surprised instead of playing. The young man's eyes were perfectly rounded. I don't know what surprised him like that. But, he hid his surprise from his friends.
That shock seemed to be felt by Levy as well. The woman was surprised that Gerald's protector was still standing. He stared intently at a disciple standing near him. Inwardly, she cursed him for his incompetent work.
Meanwhile, Gerald who saw it all, laughed triumphantly in his heart. The young man was very proud of himself, yet he hid it all with his uncaring face.
"How's mom? Our protector is very good, right? Our protector is protecting the entire hall" Gerald said with a friendly smile.
The young man intended to ridicule his crafty teacher. Sure enough, Levy was so upset by the young man's words. Seen from his bent face and clenched hands.
"Ha! Don't be arrogant, it's the first day. After all, this protector must be just your job, right? Because there is no way that useless nulla can make a protector," said a female student who is just as annoying as Levy.
Gerald was very angry actually, but he chose to remain silent and relented. Mage patted him on the shoulder and said not to pay too much attention to their innuendo.
"Yes, you can't be arrogant. Above the sky there is still the sky. If you've grown your head on the first day, you'll cry later the next day because your protector is destroyed."
After saying that, Levy looked back at the disciple next to her. Gives the code to immediately destroy the protector. The student nodded his head understanding.
"Alright, let's move on to the next place."
Levy and the others continued their steps. Only Gerald was silent nailing on the spot. He really hates this. Why do so many people do cunningly just to take down one or two people?
"Not mind them, son. Your protector won't be able to be destroyed that easily. As long as you diligently fix the trap ahead, your protector won't be able to touch anyone else."
Gerald could hear Alven's beacon very clearly. The young man turned his gaze into the hall. There, he could see Alven smiling at him while waving his hand.
Gerald smiled. He seemed motivated by the man's words. He stepped his feet, following the friends who were already far ahead of him. He was already determined very strongly, that he would not be defeated by anyone. Before he gets a permanent residence, he won't get out of there.
