Chapter 18

Gerald sat awkwardly surrounded by four beautiful girls. He was being interrogated for cheating.

"Let's~till when do you want to be like this? You make me look like a criminal" he lamented.

"I still can't believe Mr. Arnold has a family relationship with Harmin Bender" Lacy said.

Gerald looked at Lacy, asking for help to get her out of there. But unfortunately, Lacy did not rub her gaze because she felt they were not too close.

"Why are you keeping your family a secret?" ask Kannon.

Of the four girls, only Kannon was happy to hear the story about his family. He turned his course to approach Gerald. Maybe the girl thinks Gerald's the only one with her caste.

"I'm not keeping it a secret. Can you get away from my face?"

Gerald pushed Kannon's face too close to his. The girl's eyes sparkled and made her uncomfortable. His quiet life seemed to be disturbed because of a girl.

"The page!! Help me, it seems like this person has gone mad!!" jerit Gerald asked for help.

"Well, I'm done writing our group documents, let's go to class."

Mage stepped out of them, followed by Ladon, Emil, Lacy, and Mao behind him. Gerald looked at Cecilia and Kannon who were settling down with him.

"Are you not following them?" ask Gerald timidly.

It seemed like the young man was afraid that Kannon would approach him again and make him miserable. And it turns out his fear came true. Holding his arm, Kannon said, "I'll go with you. Wherever you go I'll follow."

"NLAT!!!!!" gerald's scream echoed throughout the room.

In the Praesidium forest, a forest in East Mantauna, Harmin was walking through the forest while investigating Hugo's whereabouts. In the middle of the forest, he saw several stacks of deer that had been hunted, but not taken.

The man took a long breath. He found no trace of Hugo. He has not been home for 2 days, and he has not found anything for 2 days.

Hugo's hideout has been blown to pieces. Not even a trace of magic was found. His head is getting sick. I don't know what he should tell Louise later.

From a long time ago, Harmin was always afraid to hear that name. Although, he was much younger than Harmin, but the man could not forget how Louise's power almost matched the great magician of his time. At the time, he was just a 6-year-old boy.

It is undeniable that the young man is indeed the son of the Bricht family. Historically, the Bricht family was the only family that could control magic at such a young age. That's what they call genius.

Many want to hook the family to be their best in order to get extraordinary strength. But unfortunately, the Bricht family has exchanged appointments with the royal family.

Because of that promise anyway, no one dared to disturb the Bricht family. Aside from their strength, their standing was no less terrible. In fact, even after the central kingdom was destroyed, the family was still a terrible scourge for witches.

Harmin took a long breath. It seems he can't go home before he can find a trace of Hugo, Louise's old friend.

I don't know what the man thinks to think Hugo is the key to meeting him with his sister. Honestly, Harmin doesn't know much about Louise's sister. He never heard his name or met him.

Of the entire Bricht family, only Louise's sister is not recorded in the history books. Harmin doesn't know why either. When he asked Louise, the man simply said don't interfere.

"Thread Maker Activated: Tracer Thread"

A blue light began to envelop Harmin's hand. From his hand, two strands of thread appeared that floated down the forest in front of him. The two threads were down from the opposite direction.

Harmin waited quietly until the threads returned. However, the man's face looked disappointed. Apparently, he still could not find any clues. The man turned his back, intending to go look in another area.

Harmin doesn't know who it is. He doesn't know her. However, he could sense a danger from that person. If he was captured, maybe he would be killed on the spot.

The man gulped his saliva violently. His breathing began to hunt, his heart beating even faster.

"Hmm~ looks like someone just came here."

Harmin covered his mouth with his hands. He can't be caught here. The man was intending to cast magic to hide his existence. Whispering, he said, "Invisible"

"Hmmm...why do I feel?"

Harmin saw clearly the man went away from her. Without waiting for much more time, he left the forest and ran towards his house.

But who would have thought, the red-haired man was still there. He could see very clearly that Harmin had left the forest.

"Number 20, go after him and find out where he lives. Don't do anything before I say."

A girl in the same uniform as the man came down from the top of the tree. Bowing her body, the girl said, "Okay, sir." and went to follow Harmin.

"Let's see if you're useful to me or not? A rabbit should be hunted right away, right?" said the man while turning his eyes to someone who was already lying on the ground.

"I will make good use of your soul. Don't worry."

The man dragged one arm of the lying man out of the forest. They went to a place that held a big tree. It looked like a portal, however, it did not look like an ordinary portal.

Portals usually have a dark blue light and look like galaxies. However, that portal looks like a pool of blood that if you get into it, then you won't survive.

The red-haired man threw the body he had dragged into the portal. With a slanted smile, he cast a spell, "Soul Taker Ancient Magic: Bloody Mary"

The body of a person was sucked by the portal. The red-haired man laughed out loud. In fact, he held his stomach because he laughed too hard.

"Sir, it's time to come back."

The man stopped his laughter. He stared at his subordinate. He was upset that his time of fun was being interrupted by such an abject person.

Without a second thought, the man took out his sword and slashed the head of his subordinates. His blood splashed everywhere, even to his face.

Like a psychopath, the man licks the blood near his mouth. He also licked the blood on his sword.

"Not good. The blood of the weak is always bitter. Hah~when can I kill a strong man? I want to drink his blood immediately."

The man chuckled small. He shouted, "Louise, I know you're here. Let's play. I want to taste your blood, my old friend,"

There's no answer. The man nodded. He was sure that he had felt a strong presence. Did he mis-detect it? No, it's not possible.

Louise is a great witch. He has more than one kind of magic. He could have hidden his presence and just disappeared.

The man snorted in annoyance, and muttered, "Bas a coward."

He also left the forest. It left Louise watching him from a great distance away.

"Find me where you want, man. Anyway, in the end I'm the one who will find Hugo first. I won't repeat my mistake a second time."

Louise left the forest by jumping from tree to tree.
