The single statement that Jack made, almost made a few bodyguards faint. This guy is too unreasonable. Isn't this blatantly insulting to them?

"Don't worry. I'm not stupid and I believe in his abilities! If he could survive on the battlefield for five years, he would definitely be of use!" Miss Tanya was clear in her heart and she couldn't possibly tell them that it was all for the sake of the God of War, therefore the price bid was high. Therefore, he forced an explanation.

"Yes, yeah, yeah! Miss Tanya, your assessment is perfect!" Fiona was overjoyed in her heart. If Jack's monthly wage was twenty million dollars, does that mean he would make two hundred and forty million a year? If that was the case and if Jack worked a lifetime, well, anyone would be happy with just that thought.

"Miss Tanya, don't worry, I'm sure my brother-in-law won't let you down!" Ben was so excited, he didn't know what to say as he immediately spoke.

"Brother-in-law?" Jack turned to look at her because he thought this change in attitude was too drastic right now. Before they came, he wanted to beat her up, why now did he call her his brother-in-law?

Ben nervously laughed and said, "You're my sister's husband, so, if you're not my brother-in-law, then who are you?"

"Yes, of course, you are his brother-in-law now!" Fiona happily said, "My dear daughter, I believe in your abilities and you will work well in the Drake family and forge a career for yourself!"

Jack's eyes narrowed as the son-in-law's words came too suddenly.

"Coughs! Cough! Ma'am, didn't you mention that if I didn't give you ten million, you wouldn't recognize my status?" Jack let out two dry coughs then deliberately said that.

"Miss Ask, are you serious?" Even Old Master Taylor was shocked and wondered if this was a hallucination. Although Jack had spent five years on the battlefield, it was uncertain how he survived. A monthly salary of twenty million was too terrifying moreover, it was only for a bodyguard.

"I, Ask Drake will never retract my words! You can stop your worries for that!" Miss Tanya spoke confidently.

"Well, shouldn't you ask your father, Miss Tanya?" ask Jack.

"No, just come to work tomorrow! I'll go first and I won't bother you guys from drinking now!" Tanya waved her hand and immediately left with her minions.

After Tanya left for quite a while, everyone here seemed to still be trapped in their daydreams.

"Jack, tomorrow, you and Selena have to leave work early. Don't be late now, okay?" Fiona reminded them while laughing.

"Mom, am I dreaming? I'm just a project manager and my monthly salary is a million on top of the year-end bonus!"

"He is a bodyguard and his monthly wage is twenty million while he can leave whenever he wants and he doesn't have to obey the working hours?"

Selena really didn't know how to react because she wasn't sure exactly what was going on.
