Chapter 2 - Leiva's Ambition

Looking at the thin and pale Leiva, Empress Ruby let out a deep breath and felt an overwhelming sadness. Leiva has been sick ever since he was born. Raised in the Prince's family with the best doctors and treatment did little to help him.

He was seventeen now, but still needed to rest in bed the entire time. Maybe this will be how he will live for the rest of his life. Suddenly, there was a great sound of footsteps outside the palace.

“What are you doing here? Who allowed you guys to come and mess up Crystal Palace?" said a beautiful maid who wanted to stop Prince Galael from breaking into the palace. Yet he was pushed, and he bounced a dozen meters away.

Prince Galael was a warrior who cultivated himself to reach the Earth God Stage. He could probably crush 300 pounds of rocks with just his fists. With a slight flick of his finger, the servant would appear as if he had been struck with a powerful force.

He fell to the ground and broke his left arm, he cried out in pain. Prince Galael wore a Golden Thread dress, covered with a jade belt resting on his waist. He was muscular and strong, making every step of his foot seem to bring death.

He looked at the waiter and said, “You blocked my way, slave? You don't deserve to be in front of me!”

Behind Prince Galael, there were six royal guards wearing armor, tall and sturdy. They were all martial arts members who excelled in their skill and were part of the royal security guards.

Empress Ruby noticed the commotion outside. He comforted Leiva, closed the door, and headed towards the Crystal Palace.

With a slight frown on his face, he stood in front of Prince Galael, who was now inside the palace, and said, “This is Crystal Palace. Even though you're a prince, you still can't enter here."

Prince Galael raised his head and looked at Empress Ruby, “Queen ordered that the place of Empress Ruby and my ninth brother would now move to the Southern Altar. From now on, Crystal Palace will belong to my birth mother, Empress Miya,” Prince Galael said.

Empress Ruby looked a little agitated. He had anticipated that this would come, but had not expected it to arrive so soon.

Empress Ruby smiled sadly and said, “Queen asked us to leave Crystal Palace. Leiva and I will move to the South Altar tomorrow!”

"I'm sorry, Empress Ruby, but my mother wants to move to Crystal Palace tonight. Please get out of here immediately!" Prince Galael replied.

Knowing that Leiva was weak and could not bear to move, Empress Ruby pleaded with Prince Galael and said, “You know that Leiva is very fragile, and is now getting late and getting colder on the outside. What if…"

Prince Galael sneered and exclaimed, “ Empress Ruby, there are so many poor people in this world and not all of them deserve to be helped. If my ninth brother is that weak, then what good is he to stay alive?”

"He's your brother!" Empress Ruby shouted at Prince Galael.

Empress Ruby was about to say something, but suddenly the door behind her opened.

"Leiva, why did you leave your bed? It's so cold outside! Go back to your room!" Empress Ruby was worried about the thought of Leiva falling ill, so she immediately helped him return to his room.

Leiva shook his head strongly and said, “Bu, we don't have to beg anyone. One day, we'll be back here. We will return to Crystal Palace!”

Empress Ruby was touched by Leiva's determination. He nodded his head with tears in his eyes. Empress Ruby held him back and left the Crystal Palace. In addition to the maids who broke his arm from being hit by the Prince of Galael, each maid had to stay for their own welfare.

Everyone in the place noticed that Empress Ruby and the Ninth Prince had completely lost their strength. There was almost no chance for them to reclaim their power in the Commanding Prince's house.

The servants working for Empress Ruby at the Crystal Palace carefully chose to stay and work for their new master, Prince Galael.

After being kicked out by Prince Galael, Empress Ruby and Leiva have been moved to the Southern Altar. It was common for queens to lose their strength. Quiet, away from the palace, and felt like it had been empty for a long time.

The cold wind tonight pierced to the bone. Sitting on a frozen stone chair, the weak Leiva wore a thick coat. However, during this cold winter, he still felt extremely cold.

“This body is too weak! The only way to build this body was to practice Martial Arts. Otherwise, even with my status as the son of the Commanding Prince, my mother and I would only be manipulated by others.” thought Leiva.

A hundred years had passed, Leiva had no idea where he would be accepted. Now it was arranged for him to come back to life in this body. She did not care whether it was to take revenge on Empress Amber, or for the mother who cared for her, she had to be strong at all costs.

The humiliation they suffered was all due to Leiva's weakness. Without a fight, he had no control over his own destiny. Even his residence has been snatched away!

All of this builds motivation for Leiva to return as a capable man, to protect his mother and take back control of his own destiny. Leiva knows that if he wants people to respect him and wants a better place to live, then he has to be a fighter. And prove to everyone out there that he's capable of being a fighter.

To become a warrior in the Staircase, obtaining the Mythical Mark was the first important step. The Mythical Mark was a qualification given by the gods for humans to practice Martial Arts. The person who did not open the Mythical Mark would never be able to manage his strength, and hence, would never be able to become the leader of heaven and earth.

Leiva is 17 years old and still does not get the Mythical Mark.

People will lose the best age to cultivate after the age of 17. Even if the Mythical Mark had been opened afterwards, not many achievements would have been made. Both Prince Galael and Leiva are sons of Lord Shinichi. Why did Prince Galael have a more prestigious status that allowed him to kick Empress Ruby and Leiva out of the Crystal Palace?

The reason is quite simple. Prince Galael obtained the Mythical Mark when he was only 11 years old. Now, he had reached the Advanced Stage of the Earth God and became a young warrior.

"As long as I get the Mythical Mark, I can cultivate Lord Shinichi's Holy Book which is the Moniyan Book. With the mysteries of the Moniyan Book, I can still pursue and become a Martial Arts warrior, even if I have missed the best cultivation age.”
