Since Grandma Darmi's return from the Farda family home last night, she feels very guilty to Andre. Because he made Andre angry with his wife even though his goal was good. Now Grandma Darmi chose the collapse in the room that for decades inhabited it. He looks at the past about his son who now does not want to accompany and care for himself in old age.
Grandma Darmi who is a widow was left dead by the late husband since the age of her son was 8 years old. He took care of and gave his best to his only son by working in the Farda family's residence. There he took care of a little boy named Andre who was a baby at that time because his parents were rarely at home.
Grandma Darmi even supports the Farda family's husband and wife to be successful by not receiving wages when their economy is still below. His devotion for several years paid off with the salary given by Mama Anisa after their efforts slowly crawled. He took care of Andre along with taking care of the child so that the two were even like brother and sister.
"Mother stay with you guys. Here the mother is alone" Grandma Darmi said to her son and daughter-in-law.
"Can't, ma'am. We were there still contracted and the place was also small. Tomorrow if we have success and have our own home then the mother lives with us" refused Granny Darmi's son.
When her son is married, Grandma Darmi wants to live with her son and daughter-in-law. But the child refused it for various reasons even though Grandma Darmi knew that the only child was already well-paid. He had seen his son's salary slip that he accidentally got while washing his shirt. There is also written his son's position as manager along with a salary that reaches double digits.
Darmi's grandmother relented, finally choosing to stay together in her home with her late husband first. He also still works at the house of the Farda Family but only a few hours because his physique is not as strong as before. After getting out of work, Grandma Darmi lives off the income of the person who contracts next door. While his son never gave him money for life in his old age.
As long as the son and daughter-in-law moved it was only once they visited Grandma Darmi. After that until now they never appeared in front of Grandma Darmi. Not even just to communicate because the old woman did not have a cell phone and her child's number. He once wanted to come to his son's rented house to be assisted by Papa Reza but the rejection was what he got.
"Well, is mom here? We are here only working as maids and housekeepers, we can be fired if we are caught bringing people" said the son-in-law with his judges.
Not the rented house we got when we found out their address. But it is a luxury house with two floors that are thought to belong to the child and his daughter-in-law. He and Papa Reza had asked about the ownership of the house to the housing security. But when they were there they both admitted that they only worked there.
Since then, Grandma Darmi no longer knows about how the news and the state of the child and his daughter-in-law. Only the Farda Family who always visited him even considered him a parent. When Andre was angry with him to say about himself only outsiders made him realize that his life had no one.
"If I die, who will pray for me?" muttered.
Tears unconsciously came out from the corner of his eyes remembering that no relatives were close to him. Even he remembered that one day he died no one prayed for him or remembered him anymore. In this room that was so quiet he vaporized all the sense of tightness that existed.
Geck... Geck... Geck...
When he was still daydreaming and even contemplating all the stories of his past, suddenly there was a knock on his door. Grandma Darmi gasped in shock even immediately woke up from her bed. He immediately wiped the tears that soaked his eyes and then walked out of the room. There was a bit of confusion when the guest came so early like this.
Chequek...
The little boy himself was none other than Alan. Alan came with Arnold and Nadia. They deliberately came here early in the morning after breakfast because of Alan's invitation to comfort Grandma Darmi. Even Alan was so excited to step foot because he was going to meet Grandma Darmi.
"Hello Alan Anteng." said Grandma Darmi with a laugh.
"Gee... Akhilna there yan ilang Alan Anteng. Biacana tan in talo alans tua muttered and gold" said Alan so excited.
"Salim used to be with his grandmother, dek" said Nadia to give orders to the child.
Alan nodded his head then kissed the back of Grandma Darmi's hand as well as Arnold and Nadia's. The four of them immediately sat on Grandma Darmi's porch chair with the two little boys holding their own jars.
"You come here he said to entertain grandma, now even busy with food anyway" said Nadia while shaking her head.
"Grandma's just been entertained, right?" arnold asked for Grandma Darmi's approval.
Grandma Darmi nodded her head approving of Arnold's remark. Their arrival was indeed as entertainment for Grandma Darmi who had felt lonely. Nadia can only shake her head because her two children are very smart to make excuses.
"Grandmother to Ala Atang. Ami uga intact to be stirred cimilan" said Alan while continuing to insert a peanut cake into his small mouth.
"Grandma's wishful thinking agi ya talo dimalahin papa. Bial anti Alan yan omelin alik tuh papa, ndak copan cekali. Smooth belajal copan cantun agi tuh papa" he continued to calm Grandma Darmi.
Grandma Darmi smiled at Alan's chatter. He did not feel angry at Andre, just a little sad because there had to be a problem with the only family he had. Especially in this case he contributed a little so that he must accept the consequences.
"I'm sorry Andre, Grandma. He is indeed a bit of a slanted brain if jealous" said Nadia unpleasantly while joking.
"What's wrong, it's natural that Andre is jealous. Usually jealousy is a sign of love" said Grandma Darmi chuckled softly.
Nadia misbehaved to hear the words of Grandma Darmi made the old woman even laugh at the bashful attitude of Andre's wife. While the two little boys were even fun to share a different snack with each other bribes. The two women in front of him were so anxious about their funny behavior.
