Don't Be Proud

"Would you like me to come here? Want to mock us for dressing like this?" hasan said with a sharp look at Grandma Hulim.

Hulim's grandmother looked at her son's eyes so closely that Hasan immediately turned his gaze to another direction. He could not at least be stared intensely at his eyes and Grandma Hulim knew it. There will be a lot of lies and honesty created when that look continues to look into his son's eyes.

"No, I just want to see if you've changed for the better or not? In fact, you still do not realize the mistake" said Granny Hulim relaxed.

"We are innocent, why should we be aware of it. Strange.." cynical Mama Fikri who had been silent.

Even the two of them immediately sat in front of Grandmother Hulim behind her were Nadia and Mama Anisa. The two who witnessed it could only stroke the shoulders of the middle-aged woman so as not to get emotional. Though actually they are also furious because of the disrespectful behavior shown by the child and daughter-in-law of Grandma Hulim.

Grandma Hulim sighed harshly looking at the behavior of the two. Though his son was once so sweet and attentive with the family, but after their family was elevated his degree made him a little arrogant. Even his arrogance became more and more so after marrying an arrogant woman as well.

At first Grandma Hulim and her husband did not approve of their second marriage, but Hasan remained muddy with his choice. In the end it was his choice that misled and distanced Hasan from his parents. Even since marriage, they chose to migrate to the city to continue the branch company built by her late husband. They also never visited their parents in the village, the time came only when giving birth to Fikri.

"You should not be arrogant because you have money or an insider channel because everything you know is still under my supervision. Remember Hasan, do not let the money blind your eyes and heart. I'm your mother, there's no way I'd have done this if there wasn't something behind it. Try to surrender to God, all this time what you and your wife have done. Good or bad things that you planted on the people around you so that now you are in a position like this" said Granny Hulim firmly.

Hulim's grandmother also returned to wearing her sunglasses after she had taken them off. He did not want if the only child saw his eyes teary because it held tightness in his chest. No matter how Hasan, he is still his biological child who with all his strength he grew up even though his condition was not as successful as it is now.

Hulim's grandmother got up from her seat and then walked away from the special room to visit the prisoner followed by Mama Anisa and Nadia. But before leaving, Nadia approached two people who were now bowed quietly because of the advice of Grandma Hulim.

"There's still time for you to change. Grandma did this so that you can change better and reflect on what she said earlier" said Nadia by patting the shoulders of the two alternately.

Nadia immediately left the two who were now silent. Even the two could only sit languidly unwilling to take out a single word to interrupt Grandma Hulim's words. Even they felt that Grandma Hulim's speech was like an invisible knife that could slice through the heart as well as the feeling of both.

After coming out of the room, Grandma Hulim immediately hugged Mama Anisa and then cried bitterly. Mama Anisa just let the middle-aged woman vent her pain due to the behavior of her son and daughter-in-law. But he also does not want to be selfish because here he also plays a role in the formation of the character of his son.

Mama Anisa can't comment on anything about what Hulim's grandmother told her. He could only continue to gently stroke the middle-aged woman's back. Mama Anisa just knew if behind the fierce face even the firm attitude of Grandma Hulim it turns out to have a life story that is not always smooth. Maybe even his decisive attitude now just to cover how painful his life journey away from children and grandchildren for years.

"Come, grandma. Rise up, there is still Fikri who must be educated so that her behavior is not the same as the two parents" said Nadia who had just arrived.

Hearing that, Grandma Hulim immediately released her embrace from Mama Anisa. In fact he also wiped away the rough tears that flowed on both of his cheeks. True what Nadia said if now there is a Fikri that he must give affection and well educated. After all Hasan and his wife are already big, should be able to think mature and wise in solving their own problems.

Mama Anisa and Nadia immediately took Granny Hulim's hands together to go directly to the information section. They want to meet the people who were left here last night. After arriving there they were immediately directed to a different room that could directly chat with the people was limited by an iron bars.

"Gee... How's nih? Last night he slept well" said Mama Anisa with insinuation.

Everyone who was silent sat on a thin mat that straightened his head then saw who came and insinuated them. They were shocked because Mama Anisa came to prove her words last night. The store owner and Inge immediately stood up and faced the three women in front of him.

"Get us out of here" the shopkeeper exclaimed with a sharp look at Mama Anisa.

"No want ah, ntar outside many arrogant people roaming around. Make the world not peaceful" said Mama Anisa with a powerful tone.

Nadia and Grandma Hulim held back her laughter especially now Mama Anisa's hands waved spoiled as if to show her some bracelets and diamond rings. The store owner was so furious that with reckless hands he took out from the iron bars to reach Mama Anisa's face. Mama Anisa immediately retreated then mocked the shop owner by sticking out her tongue.

"Mom, we're sorry about yesterday's incident. We beg you to get us out of here" said several other employees with pleading gazes standing at Mama Anisa.

"All of you except the shopkeeper and he'll get us out of here any minute. Do not repeat your attitude to other consumers" said Granny Hulim suddenly.

The shopkeeper and Inge stared in disbelief at Grandma Hulim's words. Only by apologizing turns out the others can be free that easily. The shopkeeper and Inge were eager to apologize for being released like the others but their prestige was so high as to do that.
