Test Loyalty

Test Loyalty
Against Myths

"Mrs ... Mama, I met his friend Dad, and Grandma too. But, why don't you come home with me and Grandma. Dad went home to his friend's house. Though his friend Father was a woman, you know," Fathan told Dhena when he had arrived home and met his mother.

"Which Dad's friend, honey?" ask Dhena curiously.

"Don't know. I don't know. But, said Grandma, her name was Aunt Nelly," replied plain Fathan.

The deg! It was as if an invisible object was slicing through the chest cavity when Dhena heard the plain answer from her baby. Dhena does not expect that Hariz and Nelly secretly still like to meet behind Dhena without her knowledge.

"So I also bought ice cream and petic creme like in the spong bop cartoon, you know, Mah. It tastes really good. I want some more. We'll buy ya, Ma, same Dad there," said the adorable boy without knowing if his mother's heart was not okay.

Dhena tried to show her sweet smile in front of Fathan. Trying as much as possible to hide his heart that was again injured imagining the husband is now alone with the woman who had been the honeymoon.

'Is it possible that Mas Hariz has now returned to Nelly?' dhena asked in her heart.

This afternoon Dhena's schedule is to check her pregnancy. He had contacted Hariz several times, but there was no answer. He had to go alone using angkot. While Fathan after the shower was invited to play at the house of Mbak Ningsih.

Seeing Dhena was well dressed. Using a navy-colored robe with matching color fasmina and a bag attached to the right arm made Bu Aida ask curious questions.

"Where are you Dhena? Husband is not home, why, go alone?"

"Dhena today had to check the pregnancy, Mom, had already contacted Mas Hariz, but there was no answer as well" explained Dhena while pinning a flower brooch on the front of her hijab.

"Your style, pregnant only a few weeks until you have to check everything regularly," said Bu Aida rolled her eyes.

"I was pregnant when I never did, checked by a doctor or midwife, but, healthy and smooth continue" he continued. Glancing cynically towards Dhena.

Dhena did not say the words of her mother-in-law. He then said goodbye to leave immediately.

"Wait ... Wait, you went out of the house with this? In fact, you are, now pregnant," said Bu Aida trying to stop Dhena's footsteps.

"meaning, Mom? Empty how?" Dhena is back.

"Everything if you are pregnant if you want anything should ask the parents first to understand. Women who are pregnant if they want to go outside the house must carry sharp weapons so as not to be disturbed by subtle creatures. Suppose, bring scissors, knives, same safety pins. Moreover, this is already the afternoon of his return later afraid of the night on the road. Maybe later you have someone to follow in the street," said Bu Mutia who still strongly believes in myths about pregnant women in her village.

Dhena smiled devils and as sweet as possible towards Bu Aida trying to answer and explain to her mother-in-law who was still very thick with the beliefs of the past that had been ingrained.

"Mom, who gives us salvation and protection, is only God Almighty, not sharp objects as I mentioned earlier. If our little hearts come to believe in those things that can provide protection, we may fall into idolatry or shirk, because it has united God with these things." Dhena's length gives understanding to the mother-in-law.

"You are a child yesterday afternoon, said parents instead of manut even back mengeramahin. You son-in-law don't know yourself." Bu Aida answered after all the explanations from Dhena earlier.

Bu Aida's heart was closed so tightly that it could not accept the advice of goodness that had made his way of thinking even violate the shari'at and deviated from the monotheism because it had believed in ingrained with myths and clenics that misleading.

So when his daughter-in-law tried to convey the truth instead made him angry and felt offended because of his advice as if not considered and ignored by Dhena who had from a small heart Dhena very reject and oppose all myths that mostly contain things that can turn away the creed for people who believe it.

Bu Aida glared then passed towards her room and closed the door of the meeting leaving Dhena who was still standing.

Dhena then went out of the house to immediately go to the nearest midwife. After reading Basmallah and do'a, he left the house first. Wishing himself always be in the protection of the Supreme Being as long as he travels back home.

Prophet Muhammad SAW reminded all Muslims to always read prayers out of the house. That is so that the devil can not tempt himself when outside the house. The reading of out-of-home prayer exemplified by Prophet Muhammad SAW is as follows:

Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'allah, laa haula wa laa quwwata illaaa billaahilaliyiladzim.

Meaning: "In the name of Allah (i go out). I trust in Allah, there is no power or effort except through Allah's help."

After a few minutes, stand by the highway. Angkot who was waiting for him then came and stopped right at the edge of Dhena after he waved at the car earlier. Before his feet stepped onto the angkot stairs in his heart Dhena again recited the do'a when he was about to climb the vehicle.

Dhena reads do'a while riding a short vehicle like this:

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِىْ سَخَّرَلَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِيْنَ وَاِنَّآ اِلَى رَبّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُوْنَ

Latin reading: it:

Subhaanalladzi sakhoro lana hadza wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa innaa ilaa robbina lamunqolibuun.

Meaning:

“God's holy glory makes this easy (vehicle) for us and we have no alliance with Him, and we will return to our Lord.”

Arriving at the midwife's destination Dhena immediately mingled with some women whose stomach looks already bloated. Almost all the women who were waiting for the queue were accompanied by their respective husbands.

Only Dhena herself came and sat alone without being ushered in by Hariz. There was envy enveloping his heart when he saw such a scene before his eyes. There is always a husband everywhere and wherever he is.

However, Dhena tried to brush off her depression by busying herself to see the cellphone screen that was in her grasp. Expect a little to forget the feeling of the nelangsa that immediately ambushed his feelings.
