"May I know when you met your wife?" James blinked his eyes tempting Romeo. "I feel defeated to see my own best friend wearing a wedding ring on his ring finger, while I'm still busy playing around" added James.

"Do you think marriage is a race?" Romeo threw away his sight. James smiled again, "No. Indeed not. It's just that I was a little curious how you could find a woman like your wife."

Romeo snorting,

"it's only fitting that I've never seen you date anyone on campus, that you already have the woman of your own dreams. And that was quite a surprise to me. Come on tell me, buddy. I really want to know." persuaded James who was curious about the love story of his best friend.

Romeo hesitated for a moment about how he should tell James his story. He knew James very well and indeed he was very trustworthy in keeping secrets.

They have been friends for almost 10 years. For Romeo, James was more like a brother than a friend.

"It's not my real marriage." Romeo told me. James frowned confused, "This marriage is just a contract marriage. I mean Juliet and I just got married because of a contract."

Romeo looked at James with warning, "I'm telling you this just because you're you're my best friend." - Romeo.

"What's? You're kidding, aren't you?" Romeo shook his head faintly. "then what about after this? isn't your college finished yet? then what about Juliet are you gonna leave her here and go back to California all by yourself?" ask James again.

"We talked and Juliet agreed to come with me back to California after all our business here was done. It won't be long for a few years anyway." explains Romeo.

For now, Romeo is still convinced that their marriage will be fine. Even without them having to involve feelings in it.

"I really don't understand why you should do this, man." James is back. "I mean why don't you get married. Isn't Juliet pretty? and I don't think you'll lose a wife like her."

There was nothing wrong with James' judgment. Juliet is indeed a beautiful and kind girl even though sometimes the girl has her own barbaric nature. But it doesn't matter, whoever is going to marry Juliet must be a lucky guy.

Having such thoughts made Romeo's chest feel tight.

"We don't love each other and that's a fact" Romeo said.

"Are you sure?" James looks doubtful when he hears Romeo's statement about his feelings.

Or did he start to care about the girl.

"Hem, I've made sure that there are no feelings between us and this marriage is purely a contract marriage." Although it sounded discordant in her own ear, but as far as it was, Juliet did not have any feelings for her.

If only the girl had feelings for herself would reality change?

"Well, fine if you think so. I'm gonna keep this a secret like we did before." James added.

..."I'm back now."...

"It looks like I have to go back now, there's urgent business" said Romeo, who wants to see Juliet.

"We're back together. I want to go to my room too." James smiled suspiciously at Romeo.

"alright. Come on."
