Chapter 7

Nova goes to her mother's house accompanied by Hans. He was originally going to go alone but Russell refused his request and had Hans accompany him.

There's a kind of worry in Russell that Nova might run away from his house and leave him. He doesn't want to lose the person he loves. That's how Russell keeps Nova, restricts his wiggle room and is always under the supervision of his men.

"Hans, you wait here. Let me go in by myself to see Mom," said Nova.

Hans then nodded.

In the room, her mother keeps Nova's ring. Repeatedly she looked at him and noticed, her lips were smiling and she would take him to the show to show them all. For sure they would be surprised, because she had a diamond ring as beautiful as this.

"I'm not going to give it to you. This ring is too beautiful, and I'm the only one who deserves it. If it has fallen into my hands, why should I let it go?' said Miss Nancy speaking alone.

"Mother" Nova stood at the door.

Miss Nancy immediately kept the ring.

"Ohh, you came early in the morning, what's wrong?" lady Nancy turned her body around.

"Does mom still have my engagement ring?" ask Nova.

"Ring?" Think hard and then find the reason.

"But the ring is gone, I've been looking for it everywhere, and nothing. Didn't you borrow it last night?"

"No, Hans was with me" Nova said, leaving.

See you outside meeting Hans.

As they were about to get out, they ran into Nova's father.

"Hi, my daughter's coming, don't go in first?" ask her dad who just walked in the morning.

"We said yes" Nova said and got in the car with Hans.

In the car, Nova keeps thinking about how the ring could be lost. I remember the last time his mother held him. Is it possible that Ruth took it from her mother and hid it? Ruth's sister-in-law is clearly seen if she doesn't like it.

Arriving home, Russell, Ruth and Nick are in the living room waiting for him.

"Hows it? Is that ring with your mother?" ask Russell.
