Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB)

After giving the whatsapp number to Retha, Audri immediately headed towards the gate of the Eternal Light University to return home.

After arriving home, Audri was taking a short break before tonight had to buy ingredients for PKKMB tomorrow.

I woke up listening to the voice of the Azan. My residence is close to the mosque so that the voice of the Azan is still heard all the way to the house. Today is the first day of PKKMB where I went to college.

This morning after taking a shower and breakfast, I set off for the Eternal Light University. Yes, today is a happy day for me. Because I will start entering the Eternal Light University majoring in medicine. I majored in medicine, because being a doctor was my dream from childhood.

This is my first day of PKKMB and at exactly 06.00 WIB, we who are MABA or new students are required to have gathered on campus.

Arriving at the campus, it turns out I was 5 minutes late because the road this morning was a little jammed. Mixed feelings, there is a sense of anxiety and fear begins to appear. Up in front of the gate, there are already lined up 3 PKKMB committee. I also saw some freshmen who were stuck at the gate for being late. I also hesitated while looking around.

“Hai !!! The road was pitter,” snapped at someone who was standing not far from me.

“I..iya sis,” Audri replied while being a little afraid of the senior.

“Why is it late?” snarl the senior again.

“Jalanan slightly jammed earlier sis,” replied Audri by lowering his head.

“Other times please leave early if the road is jammed,” said the senior.

“I..iya sis. Sorry, brother. I was late on the first day. I am ready to accept the punishment,” replied Audri while bowing his head.

“Ya. You run around the field 3 times a round,” said the senior firmly.

“Ba..good sister. I will run around the field 3 times,” Audri told the senior.

“Wait a minute. Did you bring the equipment and items that were requested yesterday?” ask the senior again.

“Ba..bring kak,” replied Audri quickly.

“Can we check your bag to make sure?” ask the senior.

“Bby brother,” replied Audri.

“Solve the penalty run around the field 3 times, after which you can directly enter into the group that has been determined,” said the senior back.

“Ba..good sister. Thank you brother,” replied Audri.

After the punishment and the Audri bag is finished checked. Audri is welcome to enter the campus arena and follow the activities that exist during PKKMB. Activities that last for four days are divided into several sessions. The first day of PKKMB is public lecture. The second day is a seminar on campus life. Day three is an explanation of the majors we will enter and the campus system. The fourth day is the exhibition of Student Activity Unit (SME), introduction of campus staff and campus order.

In the campus auditorium …

By the time I got to the campus auditorium, the opening of this year's PKKMB event had begun. Many words of welcome from the campus officials. After that continued by singing the song Indonesia Raya, Mars & Hymne University of Eternal Light. And luckily I'm not too late for public college.

After the public lecture was given, it turned out that the time had shown at 12:00. It's time for ISOMA. Before leaving the campus auditorium, the committee announced that after meal hours should sit in their respective groups.

When ISOMA was done I rushed to find members of the Edelweiss 1 group. I immediately contacted Retha because yesterday we had exchanged whatsapp numbers.

“Gue again in toilet soon after Dri,” reply Retha.

“Toilet on the 1st floor isn't it?” ask Audri.

“Iya toilet on the 1st floor,” replied Retha.

“Gue wait in front of the toilet yes,” said Audri.

“Ok deh,” reply Retha.

Audri immediately went to the 1st floor toilet to wait for Rethah there. 10 Minute interval from the toilet. A short conversation ensued between Audri and Retha.

“Ret, you know the kids group Edelweiss 1 on where not?” ask Audri.

“Gue don't know. We better ask the committee in front of Dri,” replied Retha.

“Ok. Could too. Instead of later we later look for the Edelweiss group 1,” said Audri.

“Siang brother. We would like to ask for the sister builder in the group Edelweiss 1 is where ya?” asked Retha politely to one of the organizers.

“It's there deck. You could fit into the group,” said the senior.

Brief story of the introductory event with the group Edelweiss 1 is finished. And the PKKMB event continued by playing games with the members of their respective groups. Until the time showed at 15:00, we were told to sit back on their respective benches to listen to the public lecture again.

It does not feel the time has shown at 17:30 PKKMB event the first day is finished. All new students are welcome to leave the campus auditorium and return home.

I took the trip home for about 30 minutes. Arrived home at 18:00. When I got home, I sat in the living room. I feel like my body is tired. I would love to take a short break, but I still have to prepare the attributes for the second day of PKKMB tomorrow. Inside the living room there was my brother named Raka.

“So I've been home from college?” tanya Raka Audri's sister.

“Udah deck. But big sister's body feels good once deck,” reply Audri.

“Kak want to grab a drink?” ask Raka.

“Drink first the water,” said Raka while giving water to Audri.

After giving the water to Audri, Raka said goodbye to the room because she had to do her PR for tomorrow. I sat for 10 minutes in the family room. After a short break I decided to take a shower and wait for dinner time to arrive.

“How dear is the first day of PKKMB?” ask Mama Audri.

“I feel tired my body once Ma,” reply Audri.

“Capek rest first baby,” said Papa Audri.

“I want it like that Pa. But can't because I haven't prepared the attributes for tomorrow Pa,” Audri replied.

“Ya is ready-prepared attributes for tomorrow new after finishing the break yes you deck,” said Kak Eko.

“Any sister,” reply Audri.

After finishing eating Audri also immediately prepare the attributes for tomorrow PPKMB the second day. Finished setting up the attributes for tomorrow, I saw the clock on the wall showing at 23:00. I immediately decided to go to bed and tomorrow should be able to leave early so as not to get the punishment back like today.

Second Day PKKMB …

I woke up earlier than yesterday. I don't want to be late for college anymore. Especially until it gets punished like yesterday. Today I brought a bag of rice sacks containing equipment for me on the second day.

On the second day I arrived before 06:00. There is a registration and luggage check event like yesterday. Today all new students must be in their own group. So did his companion, still like the day before. Today there is a seminar on campus life. And there are also games to eliminate the feeling of pouch and boredom for all new students.

It did not feel the day was 17:30 and the second day of PKKMB event was finished. I immediately decided to go home and rest for a while before preparing the attributes for tomorrow.

Third Day of PKKMB …

Today is the third day of the PKKMB event. I woke up early because I was afraid to be late.

As usual on the third day there is an explanation of the majors we will enter and the campus system. On the third day there is also an additional task for all new students, namely writing a love letter to the committee and will be given on the last day of PKKMB.

It did not feel the day was 17:30 and the third day of PKKMB event was finished. I immediately decided to go home and rest for a while before preparing the attributes for tomorrow.

Fourth day …

Today is the last day I attended the PKKMB event. Activities on the fourth day are the exhibition of Student Activity Unit (SME), introduction of campus staff and campus order. Today only lasts until 17:00. After that all students are allowed to go home and get a break until Monday directly into their respective classes.

Today there was no scolding from the committee. Today all the staff and students are sorry. After finishing with today's activities, continued with the closing of the PKKMB event. Like the opening of the PKKMB event, the closing of the event also had several short speeches from several lecturers and organizers. Not to forget we sang Indonesia Raya and Mars & Hymne Universitas Cahaya Abadi. After that, a joint prayer was held and all the series of PKKMB events at the University of Eternal Light was completed.

That's how four days I follow this PKKMB event. And tomorrow Monday all new students have started to enter the inaugural lecture. I am happy to be able to follow this PKKMB event because it can add insight for me.
