Miki'S Scary Stories (Based On True Story)

Miki'S Scary Stories (Based On True Story)
A Song

It did not feel like two weeks, I along with my five classmates interned in one of the government-owned departments in the South Jakarta area. This internship activity is required for students who attend school with a vocational system to meet one of the requirements to take the national exam to be held next year.

I group with Intan and Aya and fill the general division on the most basic floor of the department building. Our activities are just writing letters in and out of the ledger and sending incoming letters to other divisions. Sometimes we are also asked to tidy up the archives so that if needed can be found easily.

That afternoon, around two o'clock, Intan and I were again assigned to hand over the incoming papers to the division heads upstairs. We left for the elevator after noting where the letters had to be delivered.

"This time, you must be careful, Mai. Lu inget, was it the last time we delivered a letter to Mr. Ahmad, the division head on the third floor? You stand on the bench in front of your guests. Present, very shy." Intan warned me when I was in the elevator that would take us to the third floor.

"Yeah. At that time, I was not intentionally confused. I really did not see if there was a bench near the entrance," I said.

Ting!

Elevator door opens. I and Intan rushed out and moved towards Pak Ahmad's room. Luckily, when we got to his room, we found no guests, and the bench that had been placed near the door was also moved.

"Where are we going now?" I asked after giving the letter to Mr. Ahmad.

"Fourth floor." Intan said while flipping through the letter that we will deliver next. "Eh, let's go up the stairs. Just one floor here." Proposition later.

"Can." I gave a nod in agreement.

"Things-count let you exercise, and who knows the fat in your body can be reduced.” Intan said again while chuckling as both of his hands moved pushing the iron door towards the emergency staircase.

"Waah, start daring to cheat deh lu. It's about having a nice body," I protested, ".the basics are narrow." My reply is not to lose. Intan just stuck out her tongue.

One by one, we walked up the stairs and we got up to step by step on the fourth floor. Not knowing which room we should go to, we asked one of the employees who was waiting at the elevator door and got directions from him.

"Eh, Ki go to the bathroom first, yuk. To pee." Take Intan after the letter has been delivered.

"Yuk." I followed her steps from behind.

After trying to get around the hallways of the room, we finally found the bathroom. In the bathroom there are three rooms with one room locked. On the door of the room was attached to notice that the toilet was in repair.

Intan immediately went into one of the toilets that could be used. I choose to dress and hair. I took out a small comb from the bag of the skirt and started combing the strands by strands of my hair that started to tangle. I was used to carrying a small comb and put it in a pocket of clothes or pants because I realized my hair is the type that is very easy to mess especially if exposed to wind. If I let it, the longer my hair will get tangled and I lose confidence with the condition of the hair like that. Therefore, for me compared to powder or lipgloss which other women think is very important to be taken anywhere but for me the comb is one of the main objects that should not be left behind.

From inside the toilet used by Intan, there was a splash of water. It didn't take time, he went out and washed his hands in the sink.

While we were still making our appearance, from outside the bathroom came a female employee. I looked at her face that looked cynical. She was standing right beside me, tidying up her clothes and makeup on her face. Secretly, Intan and I stole a glance at him.

"Hmmm..hmmm..hmmm..."

I was stunned, as soon as I heard a slow singing voice but felt shahdu. Then my head reflexively turned towards the two rooms whose doors were open. There's nobody there.

"Ki, turn it around in a moment, yes take a breath first, before work again." Whisper Intan to me.

I answered Intan's invitation with just a slow nod. Still amazed by the glance of the slow song, but seeing the response of Intan or adult women who are still busy with lipstick on their lips, it seems I only heard the sound of the song.

"Hmmm..hmmm..hmmm..."

The sound of singing was heard again. I looked at Intan's face, saw the frozen look on her face and the eyes looking at me through the mirror, I'm sure it wasn't just me who heard her voice this time.

I ventured closer to the broken toilet door. Slowly, I lowered my body to find a shadow from the sidelines under the door, indicating the presence of someone inside.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard I searched and waited for a move, I could not find the shadow. I don't even see any legs in there. Could he be squatting on top of the toilet? It's impossible, right? Such behavior violates the rules of toilet use.

"Lalalaaaa..lalaaaaa..laaaa..."

I almost jumped in shock at the sudden change in chants of singing and became more and more obvious. Not only that, I also believe that the clear voice of the woman came from the broken and locked room.

Suddenly, I felt goosebumps, and the gripping feeling seemed not to be the only one I felt.

The adult woman who was originally loyal showed the ketus look turned frantic and her hands hurriedly stuffed her makeup equipment carelessly into the mini pouch she was carrying. Intan who was also frightened immediately approached and pulled my left arm and then rolled me out of the bathroom. Without any chatter, we walked quickly to the elevator door. Intan pressed the button roughly.

"Ntan, you heard his voice too, right? from the broken toilet." My whisper.

"Sst, by the way, that's when I get to the first floor." He said while pointing his right index finger in front of his mouth, as a signal asking me not to say anything about the incident.

Shortly, the elevator doors opened. We immediately entered and crowded with several employees who had already boarded the elevator.

Arriving on the ground floor, Intan also began to dare to complain about his fear of the incident in the bathroom.

"So, you see that I was looking at the bottom of the door and there was nothing, Ntan. Blank. The shadow does not exist." I said try to convince.

"Yes, I believe, Ki. Listen to his voice, I knew it wasn't a human voice. Kayak lirih, it's Ki. Hiiiiyy, these days have come up like that."

"But, judging from the situation of the bathroom is not good, anyway. Kayak secluded from other spaces keep the lighting is also dim, so." I said again.

"It's still a good thing we didn't see the sighting, Ki." Sahut Intan, ".tadi mbak who again dand and just to run away it, means he also knows there is something unnatural with the bathroom." Our conversation automatically came to a halt when we reached the general division room. The employees who saw our arrival began to ask for help to clean up their work which was considered easy for us.

At 5pm, our hours were over. I along with Intan, Aya, Hana and Sarah walked out of the building while recounting my mystical experience and Intan in the fourth-floor bathroom this afternoon.

“Hiii, it's scary, anyway. I don't want to go to the bathroom ah if I send a letter to the fourth floor." Said Aya who shuddered in horror. He was indeed the type who hated mystical stories very much.

"Eh, but I think I want to, there was once one of the staff who huddled in my room if the fourth floor was a bit spooky. The space and the number of employees there are also not too much compared to other floors." Hana opened her voice, "...inget no, Sar same story Bu Marni?"

Sarah nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, inget. He said the rooms there are mostly just to put inventory items that need the company, such as warehouses. That's why their employees are not many. Most employees who are there also work only record incoming goods and inventory updates only. There is rarely any activity."

"Hmm, it's worth the time we deliver a letter, the room we come to is filled with only one person and it's like hurrying to go, that's it." Intan.

"Occording to the story of the officers in my room, there are often sightings that occur at night. Either the woman who suddenly passed by the bridge or the elevator that suddenly opened long on the floor when there was no one." Hana continued the story she had heard.

"Anyways, let's not go to that bathroom anymore, if we don't really have to, mah." I said.

"The situation was forced to find another toilet, Ki... I don't want to go there anymore." Intan Timpal.

The conversation between us then had to come to a halt as each of us had to board an angkot that would lead us to each other's homes. Because of the closest distance to my house, then I just climb one angkot and get to the house in less than 30 minutes.
