Midnight Foot Step

Midnight Foot Step
Chapter 22 - In the Midst of Desperation

"Luck!" tari and Siska screams when Pak Hasan's machete falls right behind them. I don't know what would have been if the machete had actually landed on the head.

"This is critical Ri, not knowing until when we can survive. The power is very strong, while we are getting weaker," said Siska without stopping running.

"We split up Sis, let her be fooled. That way there's a chance to escape. One of us has to make it out and get help" said Tari, also while running.

"Yes. You're right." Siska nodded in understanding.

The dormitory they occupied, located outside the university area. The dormitory was built in the middle of residential residents.

The best way to seek help is to go to the people around you. Because if you rely on the residents of the dorm, most likely the results are in vain and their lives are at stake. Because the residents of the dormitory are accustomed to being disturbed by strange noises in the middle of the night.

This time too, they might think that the screams of Tari and Siska are just the sounds of invisible creatures. The proof is that no one is awake. In fact, Tari and Siska did not do it once or twice. Starting from the rooftop, until now arrived on the fifth floor.

"I'm here, you're there" Tari said as she pointed at the stairs leading to the fourth floor.

He told Siska to go there, while he ran on the fifth floor, down a very quiet corridor.

"Please! Help me!"

During the run, Tari kept shouting for help. Hopefully, there is one of the occupants of the room who realize that it is the voice of people, not supernatural beings. But hope is only hope. Instead of getting help, even Mr. Hasan who in a short time was behind him.

"Give me back that shirt" furious Mr. Hasan.

Apparently, he prefers to pursue Dance. Because the girl is carrying an important item, namely Arum's clothes.

Dance ignored Mr. Hasan's remarks. He kept running while clutching tightly onto Arum's shirt. But, a few seconds later Mr. Result managed to pull his hand. The dance fell down because Mr. Hasan was hitting it hard.

"Aahhh," cried Tari.

No time for Tari to rise, Mr. Hasan has overpowered him from above. Furiously the middle-aged man swung his machete.

Dance hysterically and immediately rolled to the side, avoiding the end of the machete that was now clashing with the floor.

"Deliver!" shouting Dance while trying to kick Mr. Hasan's leg. But, failed. Mr. Hasan pressed his feet so hard that he could not move freely.

"Death to you!"

Mr. Hasan again swung his machete, and this time Tari was unlucky. His arm was scratched until it spit blood. Although the wound is not severe, but quite sick and sore. Especially for her tired body.

Not wanting to end fatally, Tari tried to run from Pak Hasan's confinement. Dance attacked the man by raising a fist on his face.

Mr. Hasan staggered for a moment, and Tari took advantage of that second to get up. But again, less fortunate. Mr. Hasan managed to pull his shirt and Dance fell back on her back on the floor.

Because he felt played, Mr. Hasan could not wait anymore. With her rough hands she strangled Tari's neck until the girl coughed, barely able to breathe.

Then, the hand next to him raised the machete and directed it to the face of Dance.

The roaring dance saw the danger seem real before him. With all his might he deflected Mr. Hasan's hand, until the machete was blown away from their place. Dance took a deep breath, at least the sharp object will not hurt again.

When Mr. Hasan turned his head and looked at his cleaver, Tari landed a fist on Mr. Hasan's chest. However, with a swift Mr. Hasan caught his hand.

Now, the Dance movement is locked. Both of his hands were clutched by Mr. Hasan and his feet were still being overstressed by the man. The good thing is, Mr. Hasan let go of the giggle.

"You better not act. So, I don't have to hurt you like this" said Mr. Hasan with a triumphant smile.

Dance stared intently, her determination still blazing to escape from the man's clutches. Although now his breath is getting stung and the body is losing energy, but he never gave up.

Dance a little relieved. Thanks to his bite, Mr. Hasan released his grip and was busy holding his own hand. Dari took advantage of the opportunity to hit Mr. Hasan's head blindly. As a result, the middle-aged man fell down and no longer overcame him.

"Run," Inner Dance with a fast beating heart. All his life, only now did he struggle between life and death. And it's very scary.

After getting up, Tari ran back. But, his movements were getting slower as his power was getting drained, even barely depleted.

This time, Tari ran towards the end of the stairs. He's going downstairs and out of the dorm.

At the same time, Siska also ran in her fear. Since Mr. Hasan was only chasing Dance, then he managed to escape without much constraint. Now, he's almost on the first floor.

However, due to extreme fatigue and fear, Siska fell and hit her head on the stairs. Luckily his position was already at the bottom, so it was not until it was toppled and severely injured.

"Ahh, ouch," hissed Siska. He was holding his bruised temple. It feels painful and painful.

"Aarghhhh!" Siska has trouble getting up. His body was very weak, as if there was no more energy left.

"Dance is in danger, I can't give up. Must be strong, must be," murmured Siska with breathless gasping.

Then, with one hand holding on to the staircase, Siska got up limped. His gaze was a little blurry, but he kept trying to stand up straight

"A little more," said Siska.

His steps were swept down the first floor. The corridor was much longer than usual. The energy is running low, but the dorm yard is still far away.

"Not to fall, to be strong," Siska's mind while leaning against the pillar of support.

He paused for a moment to catch his nearly aground breath. After his condition improved, Siska rubbed the sweat and resumed his steps.

However, a black shadow suddenly flashed before him. Siska was shocked and immediately bounced away. His body collapsed and then fell on the floor.

"Ahhh," cried Siska.

Haaaaaaaa!

Haaaaaaaa!

In a weakened state Siska stared cautiously. He heard creepy noises as if surrounding his head and body.

"Can't be scared. Don't let him outwit and make me forget the main purpose, "inner Siska.

After gathering courage, Siska tried to get up and ignore the voices. But while he was still sitting, his gaze was fixed on the large, black leg that was right in front of him.

Siska looked up slowly. How surprised he was when he saw a black and creepy face. The figure stared at him with fiery red eyes.

"Armghhhh!" Siska screamed and spontaneously got up. Then run off the ridge leaving the figure. Many times he fell, but the pain was not felt. All he had in mind was to go and go.

A little while later, Siska arrived at the dorm yard. The power is running out this time. He walked gontai towards the gate, occasionally turning his head and making sure that the creature was no longer chasing.

"Finally succeeded. Wait a minute Ri, I will come with help," murmured Siska as she reached for the gate.

However, Siska's eyes widened for a moment. The gate is locked and I don't know where the key is. Siska tried to open up, but still couldn't.

"Why are there still obstacles?" regret Siska in the midst of despair.
