Midnight Foot Step

Midnight Foot Step
Chapter 20 - At 12:00 P.m

A few hours had passed, but Tari and Siska had not managed to untie the rope. Repeatedly trying to run out of energy, but again in vain. They begin to understand if it is unnatural, there must be other creatures in it.

All day long, Tari and Siska passed by with fear. And now the fear is growing because the night has come.

Blowing cold wind almost every time hit, making the nape bristles by itself. Strange sounds happen not once, but very often. It managed to trap them in a great fear.

Inside the room, there was a dim illumination from the full moon out there. A thing that adds horror to Tari and Siska. Because with dim lighting, the shadows of offerings sometimes resemble a creepy figure.

Haaaaaa!

Once again Dance and Siska are haunted by strange sounds. In fact, it was now at the same time as a black shadow that floated above the offerings. Although only a cursory and unclear what it looks like, but Tari and Siska had almost fainted so scared.

Hihahi!

This time there was a faint laughter that seemed to surround the room. There was no visible form, but the laughter was on the air for quite a while.

In an increasingly gripping atmosphere, Dance kept silent and closed her eyes. He was trying to make peace with the situation. He did not want to fall into fear, even as hard as he tried to brush it off. But, it's not easy. The atmosphere around him was too terrifying to ignore.

Moments later, Tari imagines a comatose Arum and his spirit wandering through the dormitory. From there, Tari managed to build up her courage and regain her strong determination.

"By Arum, for Siska, and for myself. I have to get out of this place. I must not lose to the demons that Mr. Hasan adores, "inner Dance.

After the sound of laughter gradually dissipated, Tari tried again to shift the chair. His toes jolted strongly and beyond a doubt his attempt succeeded.

Before the seat returned heavy like that, Tari tried her hardest to get to Siska's place. He didn't want to waste a chance.

On the other hand, Siska fought again. Seeing the strong determination within Tari, Siska's spirit rose again. Even with that, Siska also managed to dispose of a little of her fear. Although the results of his efforts are not as big as Dance, but his struggle is quite helpful.

"Ah, successfully!" whispered Dance and Siska when it was docked. Their voices rattled out and almost drowned between the gasps.

"I'm going to turn around, point the tip of your talisman at my hand!" said Dance quickly.

"Yes." Yeah."

Siska follows the instructions of Dance. He shifted his chair and faced the other side. Then direct the end of the rope to the hand of Dance, who is currently on her back.

"Pull the right one." Siska gives direction because the one who can see the position of Tari's hand is herself.

Deftly, Dance pulled the end of the rope like Siska's hint.

"Success Ri!" said Siska after Tari managed to open the knot. He smiled happily as the rope that tied him started to loosen.

"Finally, it's not in vain our efforts." Dance breathed a sigh of relief.

Soon enough, the rope that bound Siska was perfectly detached. The girl stood up and quickly untied the body of Dance.

"Let's run from here!" siska said when both of them had managed to be free.

"Yes." Yeah." Dance nodded and was ready to leave.

However, before stepping he gazed towards the offerings. For the first time he dared to stare for a long time, having previously only glimpsed in fear.

"Come Ri!"

"Wait!" Dance saw something familiar among the offerings. "That's like Arum's shirt" he continued.

"Huh?" Siska also stared at the offerings place.

"But I'll check" said Tari.

Then, he approached the offerings and squatted there. Dari took a dress that really belongs to Arum.

"Don't this be the link between Arum and the demons, so his spirit can be wandering here. I'll take her, "inner Dance while tightly grasping the shirt.

"Where's Ri?" ask Siska who is currently standing behind Tari.

"It does belong to Arum" replied Tari.

"I can be here, right? Did Mr Hasan take it?"

Siska gasps. Now, he's like mind to dance.

"We have to go quickly and report all this to the campus. Mr. Hasan has passed, must be followed up," said Siska fiery.

"You're right Sis." Dance nodded. "Come on!" continued.

Dari and Siska prepared to leave the room. But it was not as easy as a shadow. The door was locked and could not be opened.

"It was locked with Mr. Hasan, but it was noon___"

"It seems unnatural Sis, the same as the chair earlier," cut Tari.

Hearing Tari's reply, Siska's hair immediately stood up. The fear that had receded, now returned to being.

Siska stepped back and away from the doorknob. He was afraid that a creepy creature would appear there.

Sure enough, his guess. A second after Siska retreated, the sound of laughter echoed again, along with a black shadow that pierced through the door just like that.

"Ohhhhh!" siska screamed while covering her face. He was retreating until his body docked to the wall.

"Ohhh!" scream Dance.

He bounced and took a few steps back, as the figure appeared abruptly before him. Although only darting and not touching a bit, but Dance was very shocked.

After calming down, Tari looked at her friend who was still in shock.

"Siska!" call Dance.

"I'm afraid of Ri" Siska replied with her head lowered.

"Don't be afraid, we're dealing with this together. Sure enough, we can get out of here. Come on Sis help me open the door!" Dance glanced carefully at the right and left sides, making sure that the shadow had actually left.

"No Ri, I'm scared. There .... there___"

"If we are afraid, we must go. Out there is safe Sis, so we do not endanger ourselves by giving up in this place," concluded Tari trying to calm Siska.

This time, all Tari thought about was getting out of there. He was no longer bound by fear. Because from his experience earlier, the more afraid he became, the weaker he became.

"You mustn't be afraid Sis, we certainly can. Remember Arum, we have to save him." Dance back to talking. This time while approaching Siska and clasping her hands.

Siska took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. After repeatedly doing so, his feelings began to improve. Then, Siska imagined Arum who was currently lying in a coma in the hospital. Thanks to that, his fear loosened and he had the courage to approach the door.

"Anyway, this door must be opened. We can't just stay locked up here" said Tari.

His hand did not stop turning the knob. He was sure the door would open sooner or later. Just like when he was confined in room 201, the door that was originally locked was finally open even though it took a long time.

Chequek!

The dance faith came true. After a long effort, the door finally opened.

Dari and Siska breathed a sigh of relief, for free opportunity was already unfolding before their eyes.

Next, Tari and Siska stepped out and prepared to leave the room. Although the body was very tired and full of sweat, but both of them smiled widely. The attempt was successful, they survived and most likely could also save Arum.

However, without them knowing it, the clock is already showing at 12:00 p.m. The most appropriate time for the demons to come out and pounce on the prey.

At that time, Tari and Siska were only two steps ahead of the door. They were forced to stop because their feet could not be moved, as if a magnet was pulling them from below.

Dance and Siska goosebumps for a moment. Slowly both of them lowered their heads and immediately widened. Even out of control, they were screaming hysterically.

"Aaaarghhhh!!"

Down there, big, black, hairy hands gripped Siska and Tari's ankles. The nails are long and pointed, ready to hurt the skin if they carelessly move.

Dance and Siska trembling. Sweat pours out as the heart beats in disarray. They can't wiggle because the longer the grip gets stronger. The face of Tari and Siska immediately pale, the brain was suddenly dead-end and could not think clearly.
