Syahdu dhikir.Tangis-tangis fill the space. Prayers soar through the sky every night, morning, afternoon, and evening. Cold air, cold hearts of people whose faces washed with ablution water. Moving slowly into the surau form the saf of the lovers and prostrate.
"Duhai, my brother, I and you used to be God's comers. In the enslavement of lust.It is very easy to follow the temptations of the damned demons. Tonight bow down your soul, Submit all pride in your heart. We continue to fight and conquer the passions within ourselves."
The voice of the old man spread throughout the room, filling the hearts of the pilgrims in the hijrah village. No exception Satria, who looks solemn to enjoy the night after night that he passed, it did not feel like he had been with his two best friends here for a week.Tak feels so great a change that has been felt.
"Your sins are a hindrance to meeting your Lord. The barrier perceives the presence of your Lord. Then express your regrets tonight. Show your anxiety to Him. Say it in your heart as if you are going to die tomorrow."
Satria enjoys every lafaz of Istighfar spoken from the deepest heart. His warm tremors flowed with blood to every inch of his body. When recalling all the sins committed in the past, his tears spilled, flowing and soaking into the long-dry recesses of his soul.
"He was named Iwan Syaifullah Yusuf. People call him Abah Iwan. If you want to study here, you have to have permission first Sam he," said Bang Mirza, the manager in the hijrah village they met at the beginning of arrival.
They were later reunited with Abah Iwan in his humble wooden house. The brief meeting for the first time with a very charismatic figure was imprinted in Satria's heart.
"Young man, what do you need to come here?" abah Iwan asked with a firm tone of voice.
"We, and in particular I, want to study here" Satria replied.
"The three of us are in the process of hijrah, Abah," added Angga.
"I too, Abah, like these two friends of mine," Demoy said.
"Thank God, good intentions. From where do you know this place?"
The three of them were silent for a moment, and Satria replied.
"From his son Kang Umar, Abah."
Hearing Satria's reply, Abah Iwan immediately smiled. The look on his face changed.
"Hmmmm, is there a connection are you the same twilight?"
Satria looks surprised. It turns out Abah Iwan knows Dusk. And, he answered honestly.
"I'm her ex-boyfriend, Abah," said Satria softly.
"One night I read a letter from his father Dusk, Kang Umar, and I felt there was a similarity between Kang Umar's past with me. I was an adulteress, Abah, Originally, I was a, I also wanted to betray Dusk, but failed. I regret Abah. I regret with all my sins. I want to change, I want to repent, Abah," added Satria.
Abah Iwan listened to Satria's story with a calm face.
"A great repentance will give birth to many good things. You arrive at this place all at the will of God.Welcome to the village of hijrah....."
Satria, Angga, and Demoy smiled at Abah Iwan's words.
"Mirza, they're our new santri. You are appointed as their guide.Treat them well."
"Ready, Abah," answered Mirza.
"Thank you, thank you, Abah.
"Thank you, Abah." said Angga and Demoy.
The three kiss the steps of Abah Iwan, the teacher who will guide them on the path of repentance.
Abah Iwan is the center of all activities in the village of hijrah. The man aged about 60 years still looks fit and energetic. He runs a hijrah village with managers who used to be santri there, such as Mirza. In addition, Abah Iwan is also helped by some young ustadz with special specialties to guide the santri.
The number of santri in the hijrah village is not much.Only about 200 people, and all of them are men. they settle in wooden houses built independently by the managers and santri themselves.
Satria, Angga, and Demoy were amazed by the atmosphere in the hijrah village.A village flanked by vast tea plantations, hills, and towering mountain scenery.
"For residences, the santri zone and the citizen zone are made separate. But, there are no barriers, and made to stay close to Karen our concept is to build an Islamic village. Moreover, the residents here used to be also the students," continued Mirza.
"For daily needs, residents are assigned to gardening Daan farm. The crops are in the form of vegetables and fruits. For breeding, we breed chickens, goats, cows, and rabbits.we also manage markets, health centers, children's playgrounds, as well as other facilities that we provide for students and residents. in addition, there is also a horse maintenance program because the santri in the hijrah village are trained to be proficient in riding.
"The concept of Abah Iwan. He wants to build independence here. We, the residents are helped santri, who then execute. He is a graduate of the famous pesantren in East Java. Started to build this hijrah village since eight years ago.
"People come here diverse. The average person has a dark past. There's ex-friends, ex-debt collectors, ex-perzina, there's even some people who've been in jail, then santri here."
"Former biker gang boys and skater boys are there, aren't you, Bang?" ask Angga.
"Former biker gang boys are here, Ko" replied Bang Mirza.
"If there's an ex-punk kid, Bang?" ask Demoy.
"There, you.." Bang Mirza replied.
"Hehe. I'm cool means then," Demoy said.
"Later you have to join the program according to the curriculum here.especially for new ones, there are some special things that must be followed and done for the next 40 days."
"God, Bang Mirza" replied Satria.
"Don't I ask you?" demoy said again.
"By, please," replied Bang Mirza.
"If there's no corruption here, right?" ask Demoy.
"God does not exist. Shame on Allah and the Apostle if we steal and betray trust." Bang Mirza.
"Alhamdulillah, I want to be a citizen here then," Demoy said again.
"If I don't want to. I want to go back to society" Angga said.
Meanwhile, Satria just kept quiet, thinking of something. That is, that day the three of them got a complete explanation about the hijrah village of Bang Mirza.they felt lucky and grateful to be able to be santri here. they will follow all programs in the hijrah village with all their heart.
"The 40-day soul building program is one of the paths of repentance that you must follow willingly. Life is about forming habits and characters.so far, bad characters are formed because of bad habits that dwell in us. let's destroy the bad character by changing all our habits. reinstall it with good deeds and habits."
All students listen to Abah Iwan's explanation, especially some new students who must follow the soul building program for 40 days. Abah Iwan goes on to convey the meaning of a Word of Allah, the Quranic verse Surah Ar-Ra'd(13):11.
"indeed, Allah does not change the state of a people, so that they change what is in themselves."
Abah Iwan then continued his tahusia.
"The first thing you must learn is the sacred science, taharah, the science of purifying yourself in a born and inner way.learn again starting from how to take a big bath as well as the wine. learn also how to cleanse the soul so that we can enter the next phase, which is to get closer to God in worship. get used to praying at the beginning of time and congregate. get used to thinking. get used to reading the Koran. get used to muhasabah and pray. get used to praying dhuha. get used to sunnah fasting.everything must be used consistently for 40 days.the guide will monitor every activity carried out. After 40 days, all good habits will be bound in you and become lifelong habits in the Hereafter....."
As Abah Iwan explained early on in the hijrah village. This was the seventh day that the three of them went through. During this week, Satria, Angga, and Demoy always tried to do as they were told. And, all that has happened to this day has been an experience that has been imprinted in the heart of Satria.
The session that is always missed by all santri is a tausiah session from Abah Iwan. every completed Tahajut aholat, muhasabah session, and morning prayer. Abah Iwan always continued with the soul-building tausiah. Abah Iwan gave a very valuable message in his tausiahanya.message that will be remembered by Satria throughout his life.
"The hijrah, the young man, is moving to leave and move to go. As the migrating prophet Muhammad moves to leave mecca. The country that at that time rejected the accusation of the prophet, towards Medina. the land that is ready to receive the prophet's preachings from the inspiration of the prophet's hijrah, we can take lessons, that the hijrah moves away from a bad condition, or abandon bad deeds, or leave bad deeds, towards a condition or deed for the sake of the deed which Allah hath desired, Allah loves, and Allah loves."
