Lucien came to his basement with eyes implying fear. Shortly after arriving, Lucien's eyes were immediately fixed on the closet where he put his relics. "It turns out he was right to touch her. Huh.how is this, I can't do anything anymore." he muttered resignedly while sitting limp on the floor.
"He remembers this place very quickly." Lucien smiled bitterly as he grabbed his own bangs. "I failed again and I had no chance other than this. What the hell am I doing?"
After cleaning all the items of his collection, he took the initiative to change the position of the basement for the umpteenth time.
The night has come. The sun in charge of shining the earth is now alternating with the dim moon. Lucien did not move from his current position, which was tightly grasping his lover's hand. Meridia was still not awakened after Lucien absorbed the magic effects contained in the relic stone.
"Your Majesty, you'd better rest too." Hugo was the only person who dared to appear before Lucien after knowing the young man was not in a good mood.
"Leave this place if you don't want your head cut off."
"I'll keep my duties and responsibilities to you even though you're still mad at me."
Out of nowhere Lucien gets it, he suddenly flips over and stabs Hugo's shoulder until blood pours out. The big tall man grimaced for a moment then looked at Lucien's face with courage, "Your Majesty, Lady Meridia is still fine! he didn't leave you! he was currently just resting." snapped Hugo resuscitated his master who was overwhelmed with indiscriminate anxiety and fear.
"...."
"I'll go after making sure you go rest." Hugo remained standing firmly even though the long dagger was still deeply embedded in his left shoulder.
"Go. I'll accompany my Meridia here."
Lucien simply threw the dagger on the floor to make Hugo's blood splatter. In order to keep Meridia all night, Lucien threw himself beside the girl without even taking a look, checking whether her chest was still moving up and down.
Hugo let out a long sigh of relief finally Lucien was not fixated in his own grief. He also cleaned up all the mess himself so that no waiter would interfere.
The next morning, they fell asleep in the condition of holding each other. The girl's pretty eyelids began to move in the direction of her eyeballs. Although a little, the morning sunlight that slipped through the gap of the curtain managed to wake him from the dreamland that invited him to wander into the sky.
Meridia immediately returned his life completely once he heard the breath of someone about the crown. The girl immediately stepped aside to make the young man who had just been half an hour ago fall asleep next to her wake up.
Lucien opened his eyes and commented happily seeing Meridia as healthy as ever. "You awake? how did you sleep last night?" Lucien sat down. His hand moved to stroke the top of the dark blue head of his future wife, but the girl actually rewinded her body quickly. "What are you doing here? why are you in my room?"
"I'm looking after you because it looks like you're having nightmares."
"...." - ".Meridia was silent trying to remember what dream she had last night. "My head hurts. I can't remember anything."
"Well, why remember nightmares? is there any part of your body that hurts?"
"Eh?"
Lucien went out of bed to return to his room. The young man was greatly relieved when Meridia could wake up and open her eyes again. Luckily, his way of erasing memories worked. "Oh yes, get ready. We should have breakfast soon. Can you walk?"
"What?" lucien's questioning succeeded in making Meridia cengo. What kind of question is that? why my feet? Meridia immediately flicked away the blanket she used to see her legs. Everything looks fine.
"You want to prank me?"
"Haha I'm just asking. If you're still limp, I'll gladly carry you."
Long story short, Meridia started the morning today by holding back the upset throughout her activities. His reason? he didn't understand, for some reason Lucien was so attached to him that he followed Meridia everywhere as if he had no other job.
As the two of them were having breakfast, Lucien noticed Meridia's facial expression. The girl was always daydreaming at every opportunity, Lucien was sure not to fully remember the basement was gone without leaving a trace.
“What's up?”
Meridia gasped when Lucien's hand suddenly clasped her small hand. “No, I'm just daydreaming,” reply honest. He wanted to pull his hand down from the table but Lucien's grip had already strengthened.
Meridia thought about last night's events that she could not remember at all. How could he think of sleeping with this man who was still the status of another person? last night he felt like he saw something but his memory was so blurred that Meridia could not tell the difference between memories or just dreams.
Although Meridia now seemed ordinary to sit with Lucien, her heart still felt uneasy and seemed to ask him to go away from this young man no matter how. “Lucien, can I go out?”
Lucien's smile immediately faded “You mean get out of this barrier? is there a place you want to go?”
Meridia turned her gaze not daring to look directly at Lucien whose now mood changed a moment after Meridia said she wanted to go out. “I used to go for a walk to the market once a week, so I really want to go there again.”
Lucien grunted softly, then he smiled faintly to reduce the tension. “Lain times yes because today I can not accompany you go there”.
Meridia shook her head in disagreement. “I want today. There is a fair, I really want to see the opening show,” Meridia started acting. The beautiful girl puffed her cheeks up, her lips pursed like an angry child.
Lucien sighed, he propped his head up with his hands, tilted his head slightly and looked straight at his annoyed future wife. “You're adorable once. I wanted to keep you in your room so you couldn't go anywhere and stay with me here,” Lucien said, accompanied by a slight rarity as Meridia's reaction rapidly changed.
“Lucien, I'm not kidding. I seriously want to go there.”
Lucien rattled the top of Meridia's head in anxiety “Huh, the fair was held for three days and three nights ‘kan? We can stop by tomorrow after we meet the King.”
Both eyes Meridia widened “For what to meet King?”
“Of course to discuss our marriage so that it is legal haha,” the candle that does not sound funny at all in the ear of Meridia. “After what do you want? Want to take a walk in the park with me?” tawar Lucien's.
“No.”
After breakfast Meridia moved from the dining room and just followed where her feet were going. The girl scowled when she found out that Lucien had been following her. “You have nothing else to do but follow me like a stalker? I'm not a prisoner here.” asked Meridia ketus.
“There is but it looks like I will take care of it later in the afternoon.”
“Why?”
“I still want to be with you.”
Meridia turned to the library, she wanted to calm her mind by reading a book. Lucien sat down first in one of the chairs and watched Meridia who was still busy looking through the rows of books. His eyes continued to search for the right book to relax the brain.
He looked up, his eyes sweeping a row of books on the top shelf. “Wah, there she is,” the girl showed an enthusiastic smile, she then looked back and forth to find the stairs but she could not find it.
Meridia didn't give up. He jumped up while raising his hands high in order to reach for the book he wanted. Lucien chuckled amusedly, the tall young man then approached Meridia, lowered the girl's hand “Let me help,” he said who can quickly take the book “You want this one?” ask her gently.
Meridia nodded while receiving the book with a happy smile “Thank you very much, Lucien,” the black-haired man was a little bought at how beautiful Meridia's sincere smile was when seen within this close distance “You seem very happy to find the book,”
“Ya, you're right.”
“What is so special about the book?”
“Actually no,” Meridia opened the book cover then stroked the first page she opened “But I have never had the chance to read it at all.”
“Why is that?” Lucien stared at the fairy tale book in Meridia's hands.
Meridia told me with a wry smile when she recalled the difficulty of surviving in the Emerald mansion even though she carried the real blood of Ziel and Zoya in her. “I never listened to or read fairy tales, so I really wanted to read them,” Meridia mutterings left Lucien speechless in a thousand languages.
Both hands clenched tightly until the veins of his hands filled “You have done your best. My wife is indeed very great,” although now Lucien put on a smile but it can be seen clearly the jaw of the young man hardened with anger. “Sorry I can't help you when you need,” Inner Lucien.
Meridia sat on one of the chairs facing Lucien, she was already impatient to read it. Meridia was very curious about the kinds of fairy tales that existed in the middle ages and wanted to compare them with the fairy tales that existed in her time before moving souls.
While reading, Lucien patiently waited and watched Meridia without getting bored. Seeing Meridia makes her heart feel calm and peaceful “If you're done reading, go back to your room and rest” said Lucien who glanced at “ I want to go for a while.”
“Ya, I understand.”
“I go first,” Lucien stroked the top of Meridia's head. After turning her back to Meridia, her gaze turned into a sharp drawing of “Sial. It is difficult to be patient,” softly while combing his bangs back using his long fingers, showing the forehead that makes his good looks increase.
An hour later after finishing one book, Meridia directly walked out of the library towards the main door. She plans out of the veil secretly “She must still be busy with her work. If I go for a while, she won't realize ‘kan?” he muttered while grabbing the doorknob.
Meridia opened the door and was shocked when she felt a gust of wind strong enough to hit her body until she staggered slightly back. the blue iris glanced down and he almost fell as soon as he saw the door right at the end of the cliff where under the flight there was a sea.
Meridia retreated her body and went inside again. His mouth could not be closed responding to his shock. “Am I hallucinating in broad daylight like this?” ask Meridia to yourself. He stuck his head out the door again and it was true that his vision, the front floor and the entire courtyard of Navarro's palace had been lost replaced by a wide sea view from the top of a high cliff.
Lucien smiled as he watched Meridia's behavior at her doorstep. “Pfft are you trying to escape?” the confused girl was aghast at the shock of being too focused and unaware of Lucien's presence. He also looked back timidly “I told you, you will not come out without me.”
“No, I just want to go to the park,” the rebuttal and act like nothing happened.
“I know what you're thinking, Meridia,” her sharp eagle eyes are staring straight at Meridia's blue netra. “Come” Lucien raises his right hand. “Kemari” reworked when Meridia did not move from where she stood.
Seeing Lucien's pretty horrible gaze made Meridia hesitate to get close. Lucien would definitely do something if I obeyed his orders, that's what Meridia had in mind. “I won't do anything so come here, you have nothing to fear.”
Because it never got a response finally Lucien who moved to Meridia by taking a long step “Are you as sure as you want to get out?”
“Ya.”
“Tomorrow we will also come out, ‘kan? Tomorrow we will be back at night so you can enjoy the view outside the palace as much,” Lucien hugging Meridia's body, one hand gently stroking the blue mane of Meridia “Don't be a bad boy, Meridia. I can't stand watching you do this.”
“Let's go back to your room. I'll take you.” Meridia who was then bowed head position accidentally saw something curious behind Lucien's sleeves. At first glance the sign is like a tattoo in the form of a flower petal cluster but the color actually looks like skin burning “What mark is on your hand?”
Lucien pulled his sleeves up and revealed clearly the sign that Meridia saw “What sign is this?” ask Meridia again.
“This? I just smoked and I accidentally hurt my own hand.”
Meridia was still observing really the sign on the young man's wrist “Did an accidental wound indeed be this good?”
“You're observant once. In this world sometimes there is a very beautiful coincidence, just like my meeting with you,” is just Lucien's response.
“What?”
“Already, quickly enter your room. I'll be back here again.” Lucien immediately locked the door to Meridia's room from the outside and brought the key with him.
When Meridia stood on the balcony of her room to see again the madness that occurred, it turned out that the courtyard of Navarro's palace was back as usual. There are two gardeners and some guards who are patrolling “What the hell is this? can Lucien use magic?”
In another room, Lucien holds a meeting with Hugo, Christ, and Dylan. Lucien sat haughtily on his throne seat, staring intently at the three young men who were already sweating coldly as well as that paled face “Don't fall asleep again. I will not hesitate to cut off your heads. In addition, I can make your body into the food of the crows if you repeat this mistake.”
The three men looked down deeply, trying to stay standing firmly holding their limp feet that were not strong enough to withstand the pressure in the room. The pressure felt by the three of them is very strong as the gravity of the earth is very strong pull them “I did not hear your answer.”
“Good, Your Majesty!”
“Do not ever let Meridia out barrier alone,” Lucien advance his body “Before I destroy them, I do not want Meridia to spend too much time outside.”
“Understanding, Your Majesty!”
“Go. Take care of everything for me without a single mistake.” without further ado Hugo friends went from the room to do what their master asked.
There's not much Meridia can do in the room during the day. It felt very quiet and quite boring as he was still not used to relaxing.
Finally Meridia closed her eyes and leaned her head against the shoulder of the sofa. Flashbacks about last night's events continue to play in his brain to make the girl unsettled. “That feels real, ” but Meridia doesn't find any marks on her body.
Yes, last night before Meridia was found lying on the floor, Meridia found a burn on her neck and it was flushing with pain. Unfortunately Meridia only remembered the sensation, not the sight.
Meridia ran towards the mirror, checking from head to toe repeatedly “Indeed nothing, then what is it exactly? Vision of the future? No, I ‘kan only an ordinary human.”
“Come think Meridia. I have to how, I still do not know what really happened in this house.” there is no one here who can be questioned. In addition to being silent, they also seemed to avoid interacting with Meridia a lot for whatever reason.
“I have not been able to find a clue in the library means next is the room and office, I must be able to steal time,” muttered Meridia who had returned to lay down on the sofa. “It looks like the room still sounds safer than the workspace.”
Meridia looked towards the door when she heard the clattering of keys from outside her room. A few seconds later, the door opened and revealed the figure of Lucien carrying a bouquet of flowers in his hand. “Oh hi, I thought you were taking a nap.”
Meridia changed her position to sit. “What are you doing here?” Meridia wondered what kind of work Lucien meant because it was too short.
“Um, visit my future wife?” Lucien chuckled at Meridia. “Why do you put on such an expression?” meridia's forehead wrinkled and her stolen gaze made Lucien realize something “Did you just have a nightmare?”
“No.”
“Oh so?” Lucien put his bouquet of flowers on the table “You want a walk in the park with me?” he sat down next to Meridia.
“I'm tired, I want to rest,” he replied ketus.
“Ahaha are you mad at me because I didn't let you out today?” Lucien tilted his head to look at Meridia's face turning away from him. “No.”
Lucien rotated both of his eyeballs as he sighed “Alright, well, you won. We're going to the fair now.” Lucien patted the top of Meridia's head, the girl turned her head in surprise. “But I have a condition that you must fulfill.”
“What is it?”
“First, don't go alone or deliberately away from my side. Second, never talk to any man. If you break one or even both at once, I won't mess around anymore.” Lucien did not hide his real expression this time.he actually emphasized the two conditions he had asked Meridia “Do you understand?”
“Ya, I understand.”
“Then smile, I don't like to see you pout so.”
Meridia complied with Lucien's wishes despite her smile looking very forced. For him the conditions Lucien asked for were not difficult to do. Meridia slightly objected to the first condition because it was certain that she would not be able to escape.
Honestly, Meridia recalled her dreamlike memory when she saw Lucien's serious expression but this time she was so impatient to get out of the barrier and watch the fair so she wasn't so thought about it.
“Haha you deserve to have been indifferent to me since, apparently this is how you persuade me,” Lucien got off the couch. “I'll wait outside.”
