THE TRIDENT OF DEATH

THE TRIDENT OF DEATH
BANTEN PALACE FELL

In the 15th century, the Kingdom of Demak was ruled by Baginda Trenggono. Under Trenggono then Demak reached the peak of its glory. At that time also the younger sister of Trenggono married Fatahillah. To expand the trade area and the power of Demak, Trenggono felt the need to occupy Banten. So in 1527, under the leadership of Fatahillah invades the army of Demak. Banten fell, the port of Sunda Kelapa was occupied and as a representative Demak ruled Fatahillah in Banten. Actually it is not appropriate to say that Fatahillah acts as a representative of Trenggono or a representative of the kingdom of Demak because the scope of power and influence of Fatahillah is like the King. In addition, apart from Demak, Fatahillah formed his own army. The name Fatahillah became great and respected.

However, his loyalty to the mother kingdom, Demak, remained as before. Sultan Hasanuddin in running the government of the kingdom of Banten assisted by the main advisor of a wise old man named Mangkubumi Mitra and Patih Wira Sidolepen. In addition, the assistance of the head of the Banten army named Braja Paksi should also be mentioned, because everything related to the security and safety of the kingdom lies in its full responsibility. Especially considering that at that time there were often clashes with the Pajajaran party.

Raja Paki was an ordinary soldier in the kingdom of Demak. But because of his courage, honesty and cleverness, he became the favorite person of Fatahillah. When Fatahillah moved to Banten, Braja Paksi participated. Then he was appointed as the head of the Banten army. That rank continued to be held until one day when he was forced to sacrifice his own soul for the safety of the kingdom and for the loyalty of his devotion to superiors! It was not yet one month that the young Hasanuddin was crowned as Sultan or King of Banten. Both patih Wira Sidolepen, as well as the old advisor Mangkubumi Mitra and the head of the Balatari of Braja Paksi, or the Sultan himself, are also known as the Sultan, no one knew that on the royals' torso there was an enemy in a dangerous blanket, moving silently.

And who would have thought that the enemy in the blanket was Parit Wulung, the officer who became the direct representative of the head of the royal army. The relationship of Parit Wulung with the Graja Paksi is not only as subordinate to superiors, but also as a brother-in-law because the younger sister of the Raja Paksi is married to Parit Wulung. But Parit Wulung has lost his way. Forgot him that the position he held was a blessing raised at the discretion of the Axis King. Forgot him that the kingdom had given rank as well as honor and luxurious life. Lust for power alone, lust for the throne of the kingdom as the King has stimulated all the heart of the soul of his body.

In achieving his efforts to seize the throne of the Sultanate of Banten, of course, he could not move alone. Besides, he knew that to seek the insiders, the officers and ministers of the court were impossible because of all the officers and ministers, moreover, Patih Wira Sidolepen is very loyal to the Kingdom and Sultan Hasanuddin.

Therefore, the traitorous officer sought allies outside Banten. A very good opportunity he saw came from the neighboring kingdom of Pajajaran. Some Pajajaran officers secretly met him and the officers after being given a grandiose promise were willing to send hundreds of soldiers to help the rebellion when the time came. Hundreds of soldiers are still not considered sufficient for the Wulung Trench. This traitor then came to a magician, Resi Singo Ireng who lived on the south coast. This rishi not only wants to help the rotten intentions of the Wulung Trench because it is promised to be bestowed countless wealth, but also includes his biological brother who is also a Rishi, namely the Seta Tiger Rishi. The Tigers of Seta dwell in Bat Bay. This silat figure had just formed a silat party which he called the Southern Fire Party. Although both of them are Rishis, they have been trapped by worldly pleasures and entered into the black class.

On the appointed day, a rebellion broke out to overthrow the kingdom. Hundreds of troops from Pajajaran invaded. A great battle took place all over Kotaraja and the most intense was around the palace grounds. Soon the rebels had broken into Banten's defenses. The palace was besieged, rebel soldiers under the leadership of Parit Wulung, Singo Ireng and Tiger Seta stormed into the palace. Ministers and clever people who are locked up and can not be saved, all met their death beheaded cruelly. The head of the Banten army, Patih Wira Sidolepen and several other important people also became victims of the insurgents' violence.

Banten fell before the evening. Banten soldiers who are still alive and forced to surrender with the people, were told to clean all the corpses that lay in every corner. While in one room in the Banten palace there was a panting meeting. This important meeting was chaired by Parit Wulung. In attendance were Resi Singo Ireng, Resi Tiger Seta, Karma Dipa and Djuanasuta. These last two were Pajajaran officers allied with Parit Wulung.

"Resi Singo Ireng, Resi Tiger Seta and Karma Dipa brothers, Djuapasuta. You see for yourself, thanks to our cooperation then what we have planned has worked. Banten is ours together. But there are some disappointing things reported by a liaison officer on our side. Sultan Hasanuddin vanished unknown where he went. Most likely with old advisor Mangkubumi Mitra, because this old man is not known where he is at this time…".

Until there, Karma Dipa opened his voice. "If they were to flee from Banten it would be impossible. The entire border is heavily guarded by our soldiers".

"That's right,” replied Parit Wulung. "By the side of our people continue to investigate the traces of the two men, then we have also arrested three people who are allegedly hard to know where the Sultan hid".

The Wulung trench clapped three times. The door of the negotiating room is open. A guard came in. "Bring here Said Ulon”, Parit Wulung said to the bodyguard.

The guards went outside quickly. A moment later entered again with a friend carrying a white-haired old man. Said Ulon, head of the palace household. The two guards came out again.

"Said Ulon, you know where the Sultan is hiding, right?!", said Parit Wulung.

Seeing this Ditch Wulung immediately said. "Don't worry, I'll let you go and guarantee your safety when I tell you where the Sultan is"

"Yes... indeed I know..” said Said Ulon.

"Haaaa..” Trench Wulung laughs wide. "Where?", he asked.

The old man advanced before the Wulung Trench. "Here" he said.

And after saying those words, he spat on the face of the Ditch Wulung.

"Holy hell dina", the voice of Ditch Wulung rattled.

"Sret" His sword was revoked and "cras”

So break Said Ulon's neck. His head was on the floor right in front of the door. The blood spurted soaking in the tapestry that covered part of the floor of the room. Resi Tiger Seta laughed at the sight of the event.

Karma Dipa said in a flat voice. "We shouldn't have to kill at once the man was Parit Wulung. We can torture him until he confesses where Sultan Hasanuddin is".

Parit Wulung did not answer. The bloodstains on his sword he swiped into Said Ulon's clothes and put them back in his scabbard. Then Parit Wulung clapped again three times. Door opens. Guards who entered were excited to see a human head on the doorstep.

"Take the horseman in!" said Parit Wulung.
