THE LONG JOURNEY TO YOU

THE LONG JOURNEY TO YOU
ME, BUM???

            “Where should we go, Baram??”

Again Deon found himself in the forest, walking through the forest following Baram.

“I don't know either. It's just that -“ Suara Baram stopped because of the heavy and windy rain that suddenly came. Baram looked up at the sky above and made his face wet with rainwater.  “These fireflies cannot appear at this time?”

Deon turned his head and saw some fireflies flying with a barely visible light under the heavy and windy rain. Clearly Deon saw the group of fireflies struggling desperately to guide them in the middle of the storm despite their lives at stake.

I'm ashamed of myself. The sentence suddenly appeared in Deon's mind and Deon was convinced the thought was not from him but from Akmana.

“Come!!” Baram began to walk again, breaking through the forest in the mountains in the midst of heavy and windy rain.

            I'm ashamed of myself.

I was so embarrassed, so ashamed.

My mouth is talking about the beauty of the outside world where I can meet a lot of people there. It's just ... What does that crowd mean?

When compared to the few people here, the crowd did not look valuable. Maybe Madaharsa was feeling a little lonely, maybe Madaharsa was feeling a little bored, but she had Baram, a little family from Baram who cared so much about her.

Although some villagers were afraid of him, but they took good care of Madaharsa. They were worried if Madaharsa experienced anything.

When compared to the crowds out there, some people in this village were much more meaningful.

This mouth of mine .. Deon hit his own mouth because of the feeling of regret and shame that suddenly attacked him. What Baram said is true. The hope I gave Madaharsa was just empty hope.

            Buk!!

Deon who was busy with his own thoughts and walked without looking, suddenly crashed into Baram in front of him. “Uh!!” Deon raised his head and saw Baram silently sculpting. “Why stop, Baram??”

“This cave!! What was it here before??”

Deon took one step to the side to see what Baram saw. Lohh this cave?? Deon was as shocked as Baram. “Since when did this cave exist??” Again, Deon's mouth spoke without hearing his orders.

Deg. Suddenly, Deon's heart beat so fast that it made Deon feel sick. In front of that dark cave mouth, Deon suddenly felt a bad premonition coming at him. Wusshhhh!! The strong wind that blew with the heavy rain, made Deon even more afraid of something bad that would happen in the future.

            *

Buk!! Deon awakens because his head just hit a hard cave wall and makes Deon forced to open his eyes. “Akhhh!!” Deon grimaced with the pain in his head in a half-open eye state. Damnit damnit!! I fell asleep here!

“How can you sleep in a place like this??”

Hearing the voice talking to him, Deon turned to his left and found someone sitting together with him. With the light of the full moon illuminating, Deon was able to clearly see the two eyes that were staring at him intently.

“Akhhhh!!” This time Deon shouted not because of illness, but because of shock and death. To his surprise, all of Deon's senses that had been feeling tired were suddenly activated in just a matter of seconds.

            “Akhhhh!!”

            “Akhhhh!!”

            “Akhhhh!!”

Deon's startled cry echoed within the cave and made Deon's ears along with the figure beside him feel a little disturbed.

Deon shut his mouth because he felt guilty. “Sorry, I was so shocked.” Deon sat back in his place with his heart racing. “Ke-why can you be here? B-how did you find me here??”

“Don't ask that! I don't know why I'm here!! When I teleported, I suddenly arrived at this place and found you sleeping here like a bum! Did you lose all your money and end up stranded here?”

“Ehhh?” Deon was shocked to hear Algiz's question. Me?? So bums?? It was something impossible because I made enough money for two generations!

“Do you sell your residence and move here??” Algiz asked again.

“Bu-not that. I happen to have a job near here. Didn't I tell you about my job outside the city?” Deon reminded.

“Ah true. I forget. But ...” Algiz glanced at Deon. “Seeing you sleep like that, anyone must think you are a bum.”

Bums again?? He really!! How can a famous star like me be considered a vagabond even when I sleep by the side of the road! In this country there is only a small percentage of people who do not know who I am!!  Deon chuckled at his own thoughts. “Other times, I won't sleep here again.”

“Yes, don't do that again! Even if you don't have money, don't sleep here! What if you roll over and fall there??” Algiz pointed at the sea below them.

“He he he.” Deon chuckled again as he imagined himself falling into the sea and disappearing without being found. “Yes, yes, I will not sleep here again.”

“Keep why can sleep here??”  Algiz asked again. “Padahan here is quite cold.”

“A-I can't sleep. Because of my work, I have to sleep together with my friends here and they are quite noisy.” Deon explained the reason for arriving at the cave even though only partially. I can't possibly tell Algiz, I came here because I miss him!! Who am I?? I am just a little bit of a few of his friends!! Even if I miss him, I have no right and courage to ask to meet him!!

“But ... here is not bad either.”  Deon glanced at Algiz and found the woman staring up at the sky where the full moon and the surrounding stars were shining quite brightly. “The views here are pretty good too.”

“Yes, I also agree to it.”

“But .. somehow it feels like there is a feeling of nostalgia here,” said Algiz.

“Eh?” Deon was shocked to hear Algiz's words. “Have you been here before?”

“Ngak. I've never been here. It's the first time.”

Maybe this place is-

Algiz suddenly raised his hand. Deon, who had been thinking about something, was suddenly interested in what Algiz wanted to do.

“A-what do you want to do??” ask Deon.

“As usual.”

Algiz made a gesture with his hand and soon a group of fireflies appeared and flew near Deon and Algiz. The herd of fireflies summoned by Algiz, more than the herd that Algiz called out to when he was on the roof of Deon's apartment building.

“Waahh!!” Deon was amazed to see the number of fireflies that came towards him because of the call of Algiz. “They are a lot here.”

“Yes. In a place like this, fireflies number more than in the city.”

Behind his black mask, Deon smiled seeing himself able to see Algiz after a long time. This must have been because of the shooting star. Benak Deon suddenly said that.

Huft!! Deon looked at Algiz who was busy staring at the night sky and its contents. He must be happy just like me. Unfortunately, I could not see the smile that was always hidden behind the black mask.
