“No can be so mas. We do not accept.”
“I don't need your approval. I will keep marrying her.”
Abrisam has just parked the africa twin motorbike his father gave him on his 17th birthday last year. The commotion from inside the house had already disturbed him.
Sam quickly took off his helmet and got off the bike. It is actually common for him to see and hear. However, when he heard the word marriage Sam became anxious.
The 175 cm tall man stopped walking. He had already arrived at the door. However, his father came out with a hand holding the young woman.
“What is this, Pi?” ask Abrisam.
The middle-aged man and woman in her 20s stopped stepping.
“Sam told Papi that Mama and Mommy did not agree that she married again!" the 30-year-old woman glanced at the girl near her husband, “what else with a woman like her!”
Sam glanced at the hand that his mother was holding. Although the two women that Sam knew since he was a child were not his real mother, Sam loved and respected them.
Sam smiled faintly and gently brushed off his stepmother's hand. He approached in front of his father.
“Papi want to marry again?” tanya Sam noticed the woman next to his father, “What are still less two women in this house?” sam asked, pointing back.
“Yes, papi is getting married. He is Vania,” said the business man introduced the woman next to him, “Papi hope you can accept it like you received the two wives of Papi.”
“How many more women will Papi marry? How many more times has Mami Papi's love betrayed?” lirih Sam looked at his real father.
“Your mom is gone. Does Papi have to be a widower for life? Papi also needs a partner.”
“But not this much, Pi.” Sam noticed the beautiful girl who had just been silent waiting for the father and son to argue, “even Papi wanted to marry a girl who was as old as Sam.”
“You are still a child. You know what? You better learn the right thing. The important thing is that Papi meets your needs, right?”
Sam shook his head softly hearing the statement from his Papi.
“After both of your mothers are not interesting anymore. They don't understand what Papi wants. Look they're dressed like maids.” Anna and Siska saw their own appearance. Though the two middle-aged women are still beautiful and well dressed, “Papi can still finance 3 wives even 4 Papi is still able.”
Sam nodded inexhaustibly. The present Papi is not the Papi he knew 13 years ago.
“Sorry, Dear Mr Tomi Pradipta. You have everything, but you have no heart to appreciate your two wives. And you asked my two mothers to understand you? Where's your brain?”
PLAQUES
One hard slap landed on Abrisam's cheek. Both of her stepmothers were shocked to see the incident.
“Please same as your own Papi!”
Sam turned his head the other way while holding next to his hot cheek. Both of his eyes were wide open withstanding the tears that wanted to come out.
Tomi forward Sam, “you don't teach me. I know better than you. Just learn the right one and don't bother me!” whispered the middle-aged man.
“Come, baby we go!” Tomi talks sweetly to her young lady.
Anna and Siska approach Sam who is still in his place after Tomi leaves.
“Sam are you okay?” ask Siska.
Sam remained silent, then stepped into his house without caring for his stepmother.
“Sam!”
The room filled with posters of the motorcycle racer was dark only the light from the rectangular window illuminated.
The room was a little messy, but Sam didn't care about it. He sits on the edge of the bed. Holding a picture frame and staring at a smiling hijab-wearing woman while hugging little Abrisam. That's her real mother.
“Mi, Sam Kangen,” he said softly with teary eyes.
“This time Sam does not know whether he can still accept a new wife papi or not. It seems, he is different from Mother Siska and Mama Anna. Why don't you take Sam with you when you want to go? Mami why stay with Sam?” The guy who was still wearing his school uniform rubbed his two watery eyes.
The sound of a knock on the bedroom door made Sam turn his head and put the picture frame back into the nightstand.
A little girl about seven years old pops her head into Sam's room.
“What's Yasmin?” sam asked his half-brother, the son of Siska.
“Mother's word, brother told to come down. Eat first. Mommy has cooked my brother's favorite food,” he said conveying Siska's message.
Sam smiled, “iya later brother down. Say the same Mother, brother change clothes first.”
Yasmin nodded, then closed the door again.
Sam quickly stood up and stepped closer to his closet to pick up a change of clothes.
“What's the rame-rame in front of the principal's room?” tanya Dira who was standing not far from the room with her two friends.
“Lo don't know?” asked Violet who was fanning earlier.
“Know what?” Yara asked back.
“Lo also don't know?” Violet pointed to Yara with her fan, “gue tell ya, they gathered there see the guardian of the student called the principal to come because his son joined the brawl yesterday.”
“Charts?” lirih Dira looked at the crowded room.
Violet nodded, “iya, she said until she saw the roadside shop.”
While hearing the explanation from Violet, Dira's eyes were fixed on the son and father who had just walked out of the room.
“Sam?” muttered Dira which made Yara and Violet follow her gaze.
"Is there Sam too?" lirih girl whose hair is always cut in the style of a bob, namely Yara.
From his place now Dira could not hear what the father and son were arguing about. However, judging from his expression the middle-aged man who was in front of Sam looked extremely emotional. Until he left Sam.
“What is lo lo loy-liat?” sam snapped at the disciples who were crowding in front of the room watching him while quarreling with the Papi.
The students and students were all silent. No one dared to answer. Then Sam stepped away. Dira hurriedly blocked Sam's path.
“What do you want?” ask Sam whose tone is a little jutek.
“Why do you have to join brawl?” Dira looked at Sam's face. There are still many scars there, “liat now you are battered. I also lost—“
“Udah meddle enough!” sela Abrisam before Dira finishes her speech.
Sam stepped away. However, his steps came to a halt as Dira held onto his hand.
“Do not disturb me first!” he said staring straight ahead, “remove!” Sam brushed aside Dira's hand until the girl fell.
Adira groans in pain. He's hard to stand back.
“Dira!” both friends panicked. Yara and Violet helped him up.
Sam turned to hear the screams of the two girls. He was eager to help. However, looking at Dira's face that changed expression as their eyes met Abrisam chose to leave these three girls immediately.
