Sword Rankers
Welcome To Our Guild

Brmr...

A car with a classic model was traveling at average speed on a deserted road.

Now that it was 07:00 in the morning, this should have been the time when people started to move, but this small district had still not fully awakened.

In the car, there was Ran who was sitting in the passenger seat beside the driver while looking at the window, and in the driver's seat, there was Mr. Bon who was driving the car casually.

"Gosh, I didn't think you'd accept my offer, Ran. What exactly made you change your mind like this?" Ask Mr. Bon to Ran.

Ran answered without turning his head, "Okay, maybe it's because I'm frustrated, and for me, this is the last chance."

"Hehe, when you could take the exam next year."

"No, I've realized that during the exam, I'm still weak. In that test, there were a lot of very strong people, but they still failed that test, and I understood that I would not be able to get away with it if it was just optimistic capital."

"Hahaha, well, indeed, reality is cruel, sometimes we have to accept it and then look for other alternatives that are more comfortable."

"Not really, I don't intend to give up."

"Because? How's this? He said he wanted to be a wild Ranker."

"This is just a stepping stone, I intend to become a wild Ranker to gather experience and become strong, then next year, I will return to take the exam."

"You're hard to understand well, but how else, I can't force you to choose the path of life, your life is your choice."

Long story short, after Ran recounted everything that happened during the Ranker exam, Mr. Bon agreed to include Ran into the Guild set up by the wild Rankers. And now the two of them were on their way to head to the headquarters of the wild Ranker Guild known to Mr. Bon.

"By the way, sir, he said this Guild was founded by your acquaintance, what kind of person is he?"

"Hm... How well, if you could say, he was a good person, he alone set up a Guild for the outcast Rankers in order to thrive."

"Wew, it sounds like he's a good person, but usually that kind of thing has bad intentions in the back."

"Hush! Don't be like that, don't just indiscriminately accuse others like that."

"Yes... Well... I mean right now it's all just selfish, I'm not sure anyone wants to bother themselves to the extent."

"There is! Don't be that pessimistic, dong. Believe me, there must be good people who want to help and help others who are in need."

"If it's like that anyway, well fine, I trust you."

"It's so dong."

The journey of the two of them was filled with pleasant small talk, both of them casually chatting about various things.

Mr. Bon's car exited the urban area, then entered the abandoned factory area that had long been bankrupt.

Seeing his headquarters located in a wasted place like this, Ran became curious how the condition of their headquarters was.

"Sir, is his headquarters located in this place? Sure there's no wrong way."

"True, you know, the wild Rankers are not very liked by the government, the government people always consider the wild Rankers as outcasts. Naturally, we had to build a headquarters here to avoid a feud with the government people, especially the Rankers who were directly under the government. They hate us so much."

"So well, I did hear that the wild Rankers did not get along with the government Rankers, but I did not expect it to be like this."

"It's quiet, even though it's in an abandoned factory area like this, the headquarters is good."

What is it like, huh? Is it just a scrap from the factory tool storage warehouse? Or worse than that? Thought Ran guessed.

Ciiittt....

Mr. Bon's car stopped and parked anywhere, they had reached their destination.

"Well, Ran, that's our base."

Ran looked at the direction that Mr. Bon was pointing at, and a surprise greeted him, "Buset! This is the same as the government Ranker building. How much money did the wild Rankers get to be able to establish this place?"

Ran gaping wide looking at the enormous Guild headquarters, the headquarters did not seem to match the extremely arid ambience. Its Guild Headquarters was a towering 10-story skyscraper.

There is a road that leads to the top of the building, circling around the building and the floor. Then on some floors there is a section that juts out, whether what is on it, Ran can not see if from below.

Ran could hardly believe what was before him, the headquarters before him was too luxurious to be called a headquarters for "failing people"

"The road that leads up is for vehicles to be brought into one of the floors, because the basement is used for research and development space."

"Wait, why not park outside? Isn't that more frugal?"

"Once every floor is for every member there is."

"Ahaha... This is not because of money, but it is thanks to the ability of one of our members. He has the ability to build things the way he wants."

"What's? With that ability, why didn't he register to become a government Ranker? With his ability he can sign up to other parts and live well with his abilities."

"Ah about that, the ability it has some shortcomings, he needs a basic building to build a new building, besides that the bigger the building you want to build, the bigger the basic building is needed. Because of his ability it is 'Alchemist' which requires the sacrifice of something to make something new. We're lucky there's a pretty big abandoned warehouse, so we can build this base. But he was unlucky because his ability was considered lacking to be able to pass."

"Hm... But it doesn't seem like the warehouse is big enough to make a building this big."

"To be precise, other than because there was a warehouse that became the base building, there was a share of a genius who was a little crazy, with his invention, with his invention, the ability of the person who built this headquarters can be strengthened to build a headquarters with a makeshift base, to add a new floor whenever he wants."

"Who is that genius?"

"You'll meet him later. Now let's just go in yuk."

Mr. Bon walked first to enter the Guild headquarters, Ran followed behind while carrying his belongings.

At the entrance, a membership ID card is required to enter, Mr. Bon grabs his pocket then he takes out the ID card and opens the door.

Inside it looked quite empty and quiet, there were only a few ornamental plants as decorations and Bean Bag that was placed carelessly.

Then there was a reception desk guarded by a woman. The woman had a relaxed appearance, with a black Hoodie and sports pants. His feet were placed on the reception desk while casually playing games.

But when he saw Mr. Bon coming, the face of the woman sparkled when he saw Mr. Bon.

"Sir Bon! It's so good you came here."

"Hello Aurel, you're very diligent in guarding this place, when I told you there's no need to stand guard at the entrance."

"Ahahaha, it's okay, Mr. Bon, I don't have an important job anyway. So just keep the headquarters out of the idle."

"Hahaha, right too, oh yeah introduce, he's Ran Corbin, the new member who joined today. Ran, meet Aurelia Liandra, the man I was telling you about building our base."

"Oh, hello hello, my name is Aurelia Liandra, well you've been told anyway, by the way I'm the one who is guarding and caring for this headquarters, so just tell me if there is anything uncomfortable." Aurelia said cheerfully as she shook Ran's hand.

"Ha-Hello, greetings, may we cooperate well." Reply Ran slowly.

Then Mr. Bon asked Aurelia, "Oh yes, Madison has come yet?"

"Already sir, in fact he did not come home at all from yesterday. He's in the basement to test a new tool."

"Well, then I'll go first, let's Ran."

"Good sir, be careful on the road."

Mr. Bon takes Ran to the basement, they both get into the elevator and head to the basement.

In the elevator, Ran asks Mr. Bon about the person he mentioned, "Sir, who is Madison?"

"That's him, the man I call a little crazy genius."

"Eh why is it?"

"You'd better see Ran directly."

Ran does not understand what Mr. Bon means, but when the elevator opens, Ran so understand what is meant by Mr. Bon.

Bumm...

The explosion occurred when the elevator door opened, the explosion was heard from the side, and almost simultaneously, a man was thrown in front of the elevator. The man was wearing a white lab coat in which he was wearing only a grey t-shirt, he was wearing Google glasses whose glasses were dirty with black ash. His hair was messy and slightly burnt and filled with black ash.

"Hoi Madison! You okay?" A woman's voice sounded worried.

"Oh well, fail again." Complaining the man who was thrown in front of the elevator, Ran and Mr. Bon went straight out of the elevator to help the man.

"Geez Madison, what else are you doing anyway?"

"Eh sir Bon, it turns out you are here anyway, sorry well sir I made a mess again. Oh yeah, who is he, sir? New member huh?"

"Well, he's a new member coming in today, introduce yourself first."

The man reached out his hand to shake hands cheerfully, "Heyyo the new boy! Meet me Madison Bertof."

"Ran Corbin." Reply Ran while shaking his hand.

"Welcome well, in our Guild!"
