Chapter 144 ~ Attacks at sea
Farhan grimaced in pain as Ayu accidentally touched the wound on her hand, by reflex she let out a whimpering voice making the woman next to him become confused and curious. "I hear you grimacing in pain" Ayu chanted.
"Maybe you heard wrong!"
"There's no way I could have misheard it, I heard it so clearly." I felt very strange with that voice.
"Forget it!" Farhan tried to avoid.
"Are you sure it's okay?" asked Ayu who was trying to convince herself.
"Yes, I'm fine and you don't have to worry." Replied Farhan who continued to evade, did not want if Ayu found out.
"Yes already," resigned Ayu who did not want to continue her curiosity, let alone the man had explained it.
"We'd better go back to the purpose of swimming to the island."
The woman fell silent and did not reply, she just nodded her head in approval to Farhan's words. The two swim back to get to the small island which is still far from view. Move your hands and feet to paddle, pushing your body against the waves.
While swimming, Farhan looked in all directions, looking for the whereabouts of the passing ship for help. "Why aren't there any ships here?" his inner being was disappointed, only the two of them were in that ocean. His memories of the past came back to his mind, when the father also died at sea. "I don't want to die here, we have to survive. Whatever happens, because this is my oath!" the determination he has is very big, has high expectations by thinking optimistically.
A body that starts to ache, even the orange color of the sky can be felt by both. Swim until the afternoon and depend upon the power of fate. Without complaining, both of them struggled to stay alive. However, seeing the waves of sea water hitting them was very suspicious making Ayu feel very astonished. "Eh, what wave is this?" he murmured in his heart, because he thought nothing of it, he ignored it.
"Come, stop there!" farhan's slightly raised voice commemorates the woman. Ayu immediately stopped, she didn't know anything. "What's wrong?" his frowning question.
"Quick retreat!"
"Why indeed?"
"The waves that hit us were caused by a shark."
"W-what? The shark?" when Ayu was very surprised, he was very afraid if the predator ruler tore their bodies and could not go home.
"You must not be afraid, quickly retreat!"
Ayu immediately did as ordered, while Farhan continued to monitor the movements of the Sharks that were getting closer to attack prey. He quickly removed the protective jacket and tied it to the tiny body.
"Farhan, what are you doing?"
"It can help you, get out of here. You must survive!"
Time seemed to stop listening to the words of the handsome man who always protected him, did not feel a tear dripping just like that. Farhan immediately took the dagger in the backpack that was still attached to his back, he was ready to sacrifice his life so that his beloved woman survived without being scratched.
