Currently Princess Xiao Lin Mei was walking towards the main building in the darkness palace named the Phoenix residence, based on the information from the previous memories of the place which was the hereditary residence of the previous Dark Kings.

Currently the Phoenix residence is occupied by King Zhang Jiang Wu after previously being the residence of the late King Zhang Shuichi the husband of Queen Ming Xia.

The building was located not far from where Princess Xiao Lin Mei had been just a short walk away.

The Darkness Palace itself has several buildings including the Lotus residence where Queen Ming Xia lives which is dominated by white and green, The Phoenix Residence which is the residence of King Zhang Jiang Wu and the vast hall in which King Zhang Jiang Wu usually meets with other kingdoms or just parties with his officials.

If you ask where is the King's harem, you will never find it, because the ancestors of the kingdom of darkness strictly forbid all his descendants to raise concubines in his backyard.

Return to Princess Xiao Lin Mei's side

The first thing he saw when stepping on his foot in that place was an ancient carvings located on the door and a statue on his right and left side.

The woman smiled at the thought of her life in the palace of darkness after successfully making contact with the king of the kingdom of darkness.

Xiao Lin Mei's daughter suddenly stopped she recalled the incident the other day that left the man on the verge of death. Princess Xiao Lin Mei called King Zhang Jiang Wu as her cheerfulness vanished instantly turning into a muddle.

King Zhang Jiang Wu stopped his steps hearing his wilful call. She looked at her girl who looked like she was holding back her tears. She knew what made her cry like that, according to Queen Ming Xia's mother the girl had become sensitive ever since that terrible incident.

King Zhang Jiang Wu stepped closer to the lowered-down Princess Xiao Lin Mei, the lifting of the girl's face so that their eyes could be seen clearly if Princess Xiao Lin Mei's eye bead was glazed over.

"I'm not okay," he said calmly.

"Thank you for saving me. I don't know how it would have been if you hadn't protected maybe I'd have...."

"Stttt."

King Zhang Jiang Wu placed his index finger on his lips stopping Princess Xiao Lin Mei's remark.

"Listen to me" he said slowly.

King Zhang Jiang Wu held the shoulder of Princess Xiao Lin Mei.

"I do it because I am responsible for your salvation other than because of my promise to your father and mother I don't want anyone meaningful in my life to be hurt and threatened with life."
