Chapter 17's

It was time for the banquet, and Annchi was feeling tired. Annchi sighed as he entered the room, there was a large table and several seats neatly lined up next to him.

Annchi felt a sharp gaze finish him off, this was a banquet as well as a meeting of two great families.

Chen and Xiu Juan were sitting next to each other, both of them looking harmonious. Annchi felt stupid for coming and taking part in this banquet.

"Sister-in-law, come sit with me." Shueh greeted him with warm hands. Yeah, at least Annchi has friends here.

Annchi smiled gently, all the others feeling spite towards her. Annchi sat flanked by her two sisters-in-law.

Annchi looked at the man sitting opposite to her. Handsome, very handsome. Then his gaze turned to the woman beside the man. Heart melos.

Annchi lowered his gaze, he could not see anyone who was in this large room, but everyone could see it with a palpable heart.

Dinner accompanied by small talk made the atmosphere a little more relaxed, Chen's attention completely fell on Annchi. From the beginning, Annchi kept quiet, and responded briefly to some of the questions asked of him.

Annchi picked up the chopsticks and bit off a piece of meat, the tender meat rich in flavor that was hard to swallow. The atmosphere was happy and everything was fine, but not with Annchi.

The head of the family, Mr. Zhang looked at his son-in-law with concern. Had he not done anything wrong, none of this would have happened. Annchi will not lose her mother, and will not be involved in her family.

Everyone looked at Annchi as she stood up with her big belly.

"Mother, father-in-law without compromising my respect, I must go first."

"Yes better be that." Madam Li Mei replied without looking at Annchi at all.

"Rest, son, you must take care of your health." Master Zhang responded with a smile.

Annchi passed out of the large room which felt suffocating to him. He had to leave, everyone's gaze made him feel insecure.

Annchi fell asleep with her back to the door, the night was getting late and her eyes did not want to close. When the man will come, what event is still not finished.

Chen went into the room when the clock showed ten o'clock at night. His gaze fell on the pregnant woman who was asleep in her large bed.

"I'm sorry."

Chen sighed in frustration.

"Married man."

Annchi shook his head slowly, he sat down slowly aided by Chen.

"Want to eat something?"

Annchi.

"I'll be fat."

"You're beautiful, forever will be."

Annchi blushed in embarrassment.

"It looks like my wife can be funny too, look at that blushing cheek." Chen chuckles. "Why are you so quiet, not as usual." Chen teased Annchi and it made her cheeks even more blushing.

"Married man."

"Yes wife."

Annchi blushed perfectly, why is this guy so good at making her shy.

Chen chuckled then gave a friendly kiss to Annchi.

"Come closer to me."

Chen held his head and placed it on his chest. Annchi heard a gentle heartbeat rhythm. And it was soothing for him. Annchi smiled gently, closing her eyes. Chen hugged her in his arms.
