Become a Disciple

After passing through the gate, Yusri was transported to the meeting area somewhere in the outer area of the Dragon Essence Temple.

"What's? Have you passed the exam? Whatis yourname? And let me see your token."

The sect elders in charge of the new disciples were dumbfounded when they saw Yusri emerge from the gate, as the other participants were still in the final exam trying to grasp their techniques, and even if some of them had managed to grasp 10 percent before the seven-day period, they would always try to learn as many techniques as they could before their time ran out.

"Here we go. My name is Yusri."

Yusri shows the elders of the token sect that proves that he has indeed passed the test.

As soon as the sect elders confirmed the integrity of the token, they said to Yusri, "Alright. Come with me to collect your uniforms and identity tokens."

Yusri proceeded to follow the sect elder to this building where he was given three sets of Outer Court disciples uniforms.

"How old are you and what is your cultivation base?" The sect elder then asked him.

"18 years old, seventh level Spirit Apprentice," Yusri replied.

"The seventh level Spirit Apprentice? It was quite high for your age, and you were already qualified to take the Inner Court disciple examination. However, you must be a disciple for at least a month before you can take the exam."

After recording Yusri's information into the notebook, the sect elder handed Yusri his identification token and other items before speaking, "This is the rule book of the Dragon Essence Temple; it contained everything you could and could not do as a sect disciple. If you break any rules, you will be sent to the Disciplinary Hall for punishment. If you break enough rules or one main rule, your disciple status will be abandoned and you will no longer be a sect disciple, and worst-case scenario, you will be, your cultivation will be crippled before being banished with death even a possibility. Therefore, I strongly urge you to read and memorize the entire rule book."

"I understand," Yusri nodded.

"Also, there will be a small lecture that will be held later that all newly accepted disciples must attend before they are allowed to enter the sect, because it will teach you more about the sect and the things that you are expected to do as a disciple. However, since you have completed the exam much faster than the others, you will have to wait a few days until the disciple exam ends."

The sect elder then pointed to a long building with many doors not too far away from them and said, "You can stay in one of those rooms until then. The lecture will take place in seven days when the official exam ends. Take this time to read the rule book."

"OKAY. Thank you, Senior." Yusri bowed to the sect elder before going to one of the rooms.

Once he was inside the room, Yusri looked at the small place with a speechless expression on his face.

There was hardly any empty space in the room, and other than a small bed that could not really be called a bed because it was completely made of stone, and a toilet, he said, there was nothing else in the room.

"I'm supposed to stay here for an entire week? It's ridiculous!" Yusri sighed loudly before sitting on the 'bed' which was cold and hard. Lucky for him, he was able to get out of the game and wait in the real world inside his comfortable room. However, such a thing was impossible for the people of this world, and Yusri pitied them.

"Oh, Melia. Thank ye. And it feels like it's been forever since I last heard your voice" Yusri said.

"Melia was always with Brother Yusri, and she was always watching him" Melia said.

"Congratulations, Young Master; it seems like you have learned another powerful technique," Feli's voice echoed next.

"Thank you, Feli."

Since most of the events had occurred in Yusri's mind, neither Melia nor Feli knew about the Great or anything that happened inside the special room.

After speaking with Melia and Feli for a few minutes, Yusri picked up the rule book of the Dragon Essence Temple and began to read it thoroughly, not daring to miss a single sentence, instead, because he didn't want to accidentally break any rules.

"There was no quarrel among the disciples. If you have a problem with another disciple, put them on stage after informing a sect elder. Offenders will be punished with 3 months of solitary confinement in the Disciplinary Cave."

"Murder, rape, and other similar shameful conduct will not be tolerated in this sect. Offenders will have their cultivation crippled and their disciple status abandoned."

"Any level of treason against the sect would be punished by execution by decapitation!"

Yusri spends almost the rest of his time playing to read and memorize rule books that have a little over 100 pages.

As soon as it was time for dinner, Yusri quit the game and waited for Angel to return.

"Brother, are you still playing games?" Angel asked him after entering his room.

"I'm here, Angel, and I want to apologize for missing dinner and breakfast. I was too caught up with the student exam that I forgot about the time," Yusri said in an apologetic tone.

"Don't worry about that, brother. I'll forgive you for appearing in the announcement again after learning the Ancient Ranking skill. Tell me all about it when I get back with your dinner, okay?"

"okay."

Angel then leaves the room to prepare her dinner.

Half an hour later, Angel returns to her room, and Yusri begins to tell her about everything she experienced in the exam, including her encounter with the Great One and His Legacy.
