Marrying the Enemy
Pick up Devid

"You sure you're leaving now? Just with Albert? Don't want me to be with you?" shazia asks as David prepares to leave to pick up Devid.

"There's Albert. There I'll meet Logan. What could he have done? After all he is just my former subordinate," David replied as he tidied up his appearance in front of the mirror.

"Don't be trivial. Sometimes an enemy we think is weak can defeat us easily" Shazia warned.

David leaned his body. He looked at Shazia's face and pulled the woman's waist into his arms. "Did you often see people like that?"

Shazia nodded. "I never gave my enemies a chance to live. If I want him dead, he must die before my eyes!"

"You're a cruel woman, baby," whispered David affectionately.

"If it wasn't like that, then this second I wouldn't be standing in front of you. I've been lying stiff in the ground," Shazia replied casually.

David lands a warm kiss on the head of Shazia. "I go first. Albert said, Leah brought Eva back to this house. He's in his room. Are you sure you're gonna keep Eva in this house?"

"Yes. She's a good woman. It was my heart that said that," Shazia replied with a smile.

"alright. I'll be right back." David turned his body and stepped away leaving the room. While Shazia still peeked in place to see David's back getting away.

Downstairs, David was waiting for Albert. There's Leah there too. Albert and Leah broke into a chat before David showed up. The two of them looked down respectfully to see David appear before them.

"Good night, Boss. We're leaving now?" ask Albert.

"Yes." Yeah." David looked at Leah's face. "Leah, please take care of Shazia. I don't want him in danger."

"Good, Sir."

David looked back at Albert. "Come, we have to get going."

Albert followed David from behind

Tonight Albert will be the driver for David. They're going out of town where Logan has Devid.

"Boss, Logan brought Mr. Devid to live in the apartment. However, just yesterday he brought Mr. Devid to move to a house in the middle of the forest," explained Albert as he walked towards the car.

"Logan is really a cunning and evil man. I'm sure, if there wasn't something he expected from Devid, he would've killed Devid by this second" David replied.

"It seems so, Boss." Albert opened the car door to give way to David. When he wanted to get into the car, David looked back at the house. His heart was heavy if it were to be far away from Shazia like this. He always wanted to be near Shazia. Hugging and pampering his wife every second.

David shook his head slowly before getting into the car. Albert immediately closed the door and ran towards the wheel. They had to leave immediately in order to arrive at the place they wanted to go. Because the location they will visit is very difficult to reach the helicopter. So this time they will go to the house by car.

Inside the room, Eva still looked sad. He tried repeatedly to forget Devid. He thought the man had never been present in his life. But the more he got here, the man's name was interfering with his mind. It makes him no longer excited to live.

"Devid ... Why do we have to meet again? Why do we have to meet in this way. I have appeared in front of you many times, but I never dared to raise my head and show my face. I'm not ready to see you again. I'm not ready to be forgotten. I'm not ready to see your eyes that may not remember our love anymore. Heart hurts. My heart aches so much Devid ..," said Eva with tears.

Suddenly someone knocked on the door. Eva immediately wiped her tears and allowed the person to enter. As the door opened, Eva saw Shazia and Leah standing in the doorway.

"Eva, can I come in?" ask Shazia slowly.

"Byeah, Miss. Please." Eva immediately dried her tears. The woman pulled the chair and let Shazia sit there.

Shazia smiled and stepped in. He sat in the chair Eva had provided while Leah stood beside him.

"Eva, are you still thinking about Devid?"

Eva nodded slowly. "I'm not ready to see him again, Miss. You shouldn't have brought me back to this house. Wouldn't Mr David pick her up to stay in this house?"

"I'm sorry, Eva. Bringing her here is not because I want to make your heart hurt. Aren't you the one who persuaded me until I changed my mind like now?" accuse Shazia of not losing.

Eva smile. "I didn't know what to do then, miss. Mr. Albert asked me to do just that."

"You persuaded me to be forced by Albert?"

Eva nodded slowly. "And I didn't expect that just by saying something like that, you could be affected. I thought you were going to reject all the advice I gave you" Eva said.

Shazia gave a rough sigh. "It's all too late. David had already left to pick up the man. Now there's nothing we can do but accept the man in this house."

Eva went back to silence. He daydreamed and re-imagined his good times with Devid first.

"Eva, if I may know. How close is the relationship between you and Devid? Seeing you hurt like this, I felt that your relationship was very serious" Shazia asked curiously.

Eva was silent for a moment and thought. He hesitated to tell the truth. But, this all he had to say so that no more misunderstandings happened.

"I. .. Me and Devid." Eva held back her sentence until it made Shazia and Leah more furious at him.

"Eva, tell me the truth. If you're lying, you're done!" leah was impatient.

Eva was scared again. "Me and Devid are married, Miss!"
