“As a brother, you owe me an explanation. How many secrets are you hiding?”

Tan Wen Hong rolled his eyes then turned to Xue Ningxiang, “We were never brothers!”

Xie Tianyang froze, then he showed an awkward smile. But he became increasingly curious about

Tan Wen Hong's.

Coming next to Xue Ningxiang, they saw her teary-eyed face as she looked at the Thunder Skylark.

The lion did not take his life but the birdie was too far away to be saved.

Unlike Xie Tianyang, he ignored the fleeing Flaming Lion King and examined the birdie wounds.

“It won't work.” Tan Wen Hong sent his Yuan Qi to check his condition then sighed.

His plan to obtain the Thunder Skylark was scorched.

“Sister Tan Wen Hong, can you help him?” Xue Ningxiang looked at him with teary eyes but she could only sigh.

As a Demon Emperor, he had many ways, but he was currently weak.

Xue Ningxiang started crying, tears falling on the face of the Thunder Skylark.

The bird opened its eyes and looked elsewhere.

Xue Ningxiang watched and saw an egg not too far away. But the egg was burned black.

The Thunder Skylark gave everything before but was unable to stop any fireballs.

“He wants her young. Let's find them.” Xue Ningxiang cried.

Tan Wen Hong and Xie Tianyang searched around and immediately collected four charred and lifeless eggs.

“Isn't there another one?” Xue Ningxiang asked nervously.

Both shook their heads. The last one is missing. They can't find it anywhere.

The Thunder Skylark had always noticed the four scorched eggs with teary eyes.

Then, his eyes flickered and moved his huge body.

From underneath, the last egg comes out. It was intact but still had some charred marks on it.

Tan Wen Hong stared long into the Thunder Skylark and silently nodded.

Despite being forced to run around by the Flaming Lion King, he knew what to do. That makes sure to protect one egg without anyone knowing.

And when it collapsed, he used his body to hide the eggs. Even if killed, the egg will live.

He gave his life to protect his children.

Thinking of this, Tan Wen Hong had great respect for the bird.

While crying, the Thunder Skylark looked at Tan Wen Hong or, more specifically, his forehead. Then he turned to his egg with a hopeful look.

“You want me to take it?” Tan Wen Hong assumed.

It nodded, eyes filled with warmth for the eggs.

Tan Wen Hong picked it up and sighed, “It is badly burned and, even if it hatches, it will not last long. Except.”

He whispered the rest into the Thunder Skylark's ears. Initially shocked, he nodded his thanks.

Turning to his young son, the Thunder Skylark closed its eyes calmly. He could now calm down knowing Tan Wen Hong would take care of him.

Xue Ningxiang saw her life fade away and cried wholeheartedly.

Tan Wen Hong and Xie Tianyang sighed. They did not see him as being so compassionate even towards spiritual beasts.

They will, at most, respect, but have never been so sad about it.

“Eh, Ning’er, it will not return. Don't be too sad about it.” Tan Wen Hong comforted.
