Chapter 23

Ivy felt heartbroken when she heard the news that Annisa was getting married and she was sure her future husband was Michael, she pondered and thought about all the possibilities. Ivy felt as if everyone in this world was happy except her.

Ivy walks slowly in the park, looking for a quiet place to contemplate. He kept thinking about Annisa and Michael, why would they be together and not? Does he not deserve true love?

While Ivy was walking in the park, he noticed a pair of couples walking together. Smiling and looking happy, Ivy feels like she is haunted by the shadow of sadness and disappointment that surrounds her.

Ivy came home with a broken heart. He cried all the way, unable to stop his tears from flowing. When I got home, Ivy went straight to her room and hugged a pillow while crying.

Her mother heard Ivy's crying and immediately came to her room. "Ivy, what's going on? Why are you crying?" ask her mother worried.

Ivy could only cry and could not answer her mother's questions. Her mother sat down beside her and hugged her, trying to calm her broken child.

"Ivy, tell mom what happened. I'm here for you" said her mother gently.

Ivy tried to stop her crying and finally said, "Annisa. I'm.I'm so sad."

His mother hugged Ivy even tighter. "Oh, sweetheart. I know it's very difficult for you. But you have to believe that everything will be fine. You will surely find someone who loves you with all his heart."

Ivy shook her head and cried even harder. "But I don't know what's wrong with me. Why can't I get true love like Annisa and Michael?"

His mother stroked Ivy's back gently. "There's nothing wrong with you, baby. You are a great and precious girl. You just haven't found the right person for you. But you will find it someday."

Ivy cried even harder, "But I don't know how. I feel so sad and alone."

His mother smiled and tried to comfort Ivy, "Not to worry, dear. My mother is always here for you and will always support you. You also have friends who care about you. I'm sure one day you'll find your own happiness."

Ivy just nods and lets go of the sadness in her mother's arms.

Later that night, Ivy contacts Lisa via a video call and tells her what happened to Annisa and Michael. “Lisa, I really feel sad and devastated. Annisa's married to Michael and I feel like I lost everything." Ivy

“Oh, Ivy. I don't know what to say, this news also surprises me, you deserve more than this Ivy, you deserve to be happy and you don't worry, I'm always here for you." Lisa's words were soft.

"But, Ivy. You know, I have an idea for you. You have to move to Paris! I'm sure you'll love it here, and you can forget about Michael and start a new life." Continue Lisa.

Ivy raised her eyebrows and asked, "Move to Paris? Whatchu mean?"

“Yes, Ivy. Paris is a beautiful city and full of wonders. You can forget all the bad things that happened here, and find new happiness here. In addition, you can focus on your job as a model and pursue a better career." Lisa was excited.

Ivy pondered for a moment, and finally smiled. "Maybe you're right, Lisa. Maybe moving to Paris is the right thing for me. I need to start a new life and forget about Michael."

Lisa was happy to hear it and said, "It's so good, Ivy! I'll help you find a place to live and help you adjust to Paris. You won't be alone here."

They plan everything related to Ivy's move to Paris.

Two days before Ivy's move, Ivy plans to visit the places she once visited with Michael and relinquish their memories.

Even Ivy also went to the restaurant that they usually ate together, but this time, she ate alone. Ivy sat at the table they usually used and stared blankly at the window, thinking of their lost memories.

Ivy spent the day circling New York to let go of their memories and crying for the loss she felt. Although Ivy is sad, she eventually realizes that she must move on with her life and open a new chapter in a new place, as proposed by her mother and Lisa.

Ivy has finished packing and is now getting ready to leave New York.

Ivy stuffed the clothes she was wearing into the suitcase while crying softly. He felt sad leaving the city that had been his home for the past few years. Ivy recalls the first time she arrived in New York, when she began her career as a model, and when she first met Michael.

Ivy felt sad as she recalled how she and Michael often walked together in this city. He felt lonely about losing his conversation partner, and that moment he missed the warmth Michael had once been a part of his life.

Suddenly, Ivy's phone rings, and she grabs him to answer the call. Ivy sees a call from Lisa and decides to answer it.

Ivy: "Hello Lisa."

Lisa: "Sheel Ivy. How are you doing in New York? Are you ready to go to Paris?"

Ivy: "I'll be gone in a few hours. I am sad to leave New York. I miss Michael and this city."

Lisa: "I know it feels really hard, but you need to move on with your life. You will find happiness in a new place. Paris is waiting for you, Ivy. I'll see you as soon as you get here.”

Ivy: "Thank you, Lisa. I will try to forget my past and open a new chapter in Paris."

Lisa: "You can do it. Don't forget to contact me if you need a talkative or any help.”

Ivy: "I will definitely do it. Thank you for being my good friend all along, Lisa."

Tagged: "Sama-sama, Ivy. I'm waiting for you here, I'm sure you'll be fine in Paris."

Ivy: "Okay, Lisa. See you soon."

After closing the call with Lisa, Ivy continued packing and closed the suitcase tightly. Ivy took a deep breath and walked towards the door, said goodbye to the New York she loved and went in search of happiness in the new Paris.

Ivy arrived at the departure point to go to Paris. There, he met his mother who came to accompany and say goodbye to Ivy before he went to Paris.

“My dear, I know this is very difficult for you. But you have to take this step. You need to find your own happiness." Said Ivy's mother.

“Mother, I am so sad to leave you and New York. I will miss you and everything about this city." Ivy held back her crying.

“I'll miss you too, baby. You know, you've always been my pride. I am proud of all that you have achieved and you will always be my most precious son." Said Ivy's mother.

“Thank you, Mom. I wish you could come to Paris to visit me someday." Said ivy hugging her mother tightly.

“Of course, darling. I'd be so happy to see you again. Remember that you always have a mother to support you, Ivy. I love you.” Say Ivy's mother and gently rub the back of her beloved daughter.

“I love you too, Mother. Thanks for everything." Ivy.

Ivy's mother hugged Ivy tightly, embracing her with affection and warmth. Ivy felt sad and tired, but she knew this was the right time to leave New York and seek new happiness in Paris.

I”It's time for you to go, baby. I know you'll do your best and find your true love in Paris." Said Ivy's mother.

“Thank you, Mom. I love you.” Ivy.

“I love you too, baby. Goodbye and good-bye." Said Ivy's mother.

With teary eyes, Ivy replied to her mother's farewell and headed for the plane door. She felt sad and lost, but she knew this was the right decision for her. Ivy looked up at her mother who was waving to her and promised herself that she would start a new chapter in Paris and seek new happiness.
