The hero was quite surprised when one of the royal guards said about the golden Goose feather. The young man did not immediately reply, and he chose to focus on joking with the lion who was now nearby.
While the three royal guards felt furious and also strange with the attitude of the Hero who did not directly answer about the golden goose feather. It was like they rebuked the young man, but the presence of a lion there made them not dare at all.
"You better get out of here, before this lion goes hungry," the hero drove out the royal guards with a slight threat that they might fear.
Of course, the threat of the hero is so powerful. Without a second thought, the three of them immediately parted and left from there. My grandfather and I were relieved. They for a moment noticed the lion lying leisurely on the grass, their yard.
"Wira, would it not be dangerous if the King found out about your wife's wife?" grandpa asked while putting his ass on the wooden porch of his house.
"Why is it dangerous, Cake?" asked the Hero who only turned to the Grandfather because he was busy caressing the lion's head.
"If the King knows your wife's face, he may want to take over one or all of them to be a concubine" replied Grandfather who also returned the young man's gaze.
Wira's forehead wrinkled, then she got up from her squat and stepped closer to grandfather's place. He sat down near the old man. "The King can act as he pleases, Cake?"
Grandfather smiled faintly, then looked at the Lion who appeared to be asleep on the grass. "The King's word is absolute, Hero. What is his command and desire, is something that must be obeyed by all citizens who are in his territory."
Hero surprised. The young man's eyebrows shot up one with his eyes still fixedly staring at the old man next to him. "There was a King like that anyway, Cake? How rogan."
"Arogan's? What're those?' ask Grandpa who does not understand the words spoken by Wira.
"Arogan is what he wants. Against the power of the mentang, he acted as he wanted without thinking about the feelings of his people," explained Wira, which was enough to make the old man understand.
"Actually many of the King's policies have a good impact on the welfare of his people, but many say that the King is very fond of beautiful women. That's what makes the King look bad in the eyes of his people. If you see a beautiful woman, the King will not hesitate to give the order that the woman will be his concubine, regardless of circumstances or any reason."
The hero immediately snorted. "If the King had done that to my wife, look, I would not have stayed silent" Wira determined with sharp eyes to stare at the lion.
"You're going to fight him?"
"Of course!" answer the hero firmly. "I would not be willing if my women were forced to become the King's concubine. It's good, I've got them with a lot of effort."
"I'm not afraid, Mother. Even if it's the King who comes, I'll still face him."
Grandfather nodded in confidence and his thin smile re-expanded. "Well, it's better that we go in now, aren't you hungry? Did you just wake up?"
The hero smiled widely. Of course what grandfather said was true, Wira was already very hungry. Two men of different ages then moved in to enjoy a dish that may have been prepared by the women for them.
Meanwhile, the three royal guards rushed back to the palace to give a report on the information they got. Riding on the horse they had left in the house of a citizen, they could not wait to tell the king everything they had experienced.
The royal guards are like that if they are getting duties from the kingdom. They would leave their horses at the house of one of the citizens, and chose to walk around checking anything, as a report material when they returned to the palace.
By evening, the three guards had reached where they were headed. Of course without wasting any time, they went straight to the King to give a report.
"Say, what information do you get from the village led by the boss Suloyo?" ask the King as soon as the three of them finish paying their respects.
"It turns out that what has been the suspicion of His Majesty, is evident. Juragan Suloyo asked for a very burdensome tribute to his people, Your Majesty. He did not even hesitate to punish the people who protested and disobeyed his orders, Your Majesty."
"Lack of teaching!" the King growled until his hands clenched tightly. "What other information do you get?"
"We're going to the people's house, Your Honor."
"Then?"
"One of the houses we went to, he said there were some very beautiful women, Your Grace."
"What! Really true?" the King asked with a glowing face.
"Right, Your Honor, but I'm sorry, we couldn't see her because we were banned by her husband, Your Majesty!"
"What! Damn you!" The King again felt angry.
