ASEP (The End of Betrayal)
Devan's remorse

Devan woke up from his sleep at 6 am, he immediately sat down to neutralize his eyes in order to adjust to the incoming sunlight from between the curtains. Devan scrunched his forehead confused when he did not see his wife beside him. Even the bed next to him looks neat like he's never slept in. He looked at the wall clock on the dresser turned out to be 6 o'clock.

"Had Aleta wasn't in the room. It must be at this hour that he is sports again or not in the kitchen" muttered Devan with a smile.

Devan finally got out of bed after wearing his clothes. He went to the bathroom to clean himself up quickly. He was very eager to meet his wife. It only took 10 minutes for Devan to be in the bathroom and get ready. After feeling his appearance was quite neat with his shirt suit, Devan immediately rushed out of the room. But before that, Devan will pick up his phone first.

When he was about to take his phone on the nightstand, he saw a piece of paper folded there. Out of curiosity, Devan took the white paper and read what it contained.

Degs...

His heart seemed to stop beating because it read word for word written in a piece of paper that he believed from Aleta. Devan memorized the writing style of Aleta.

"Devan, husband. I'm sorry I chose to leave you. Forgive me for not being perfect for you so you choose to turn to another woman. I have forgiven you for all your mistakes. But I'm so sorry, I'll never be able to forgive you for your affair and your betrayal. I'm leaving Devan, the divorce papers will be up to about a week away and will be taken care of by my lawyer. Don't look for me and wait for me because I'm never coming back. Thanks for the wonderful story during our 22 years of introduction, let's just say that last night was my last memory... Aleta".

Devan's body slumped to the floor after reading the letter from his wife. His legs were limp like jelly, his hands were trembling even his mind was empty. He cursed his guilt and stupidity for betraying the sacred love he had painstakingly built with Aleta. And the fool again is that he did not realize that Aleta's sweet attitude yesterday was shown in order to trick her not to sniff out her departure plan.

"Arrrggghhh... Aleta.." cried Devan as he continued to kiss the paper.

His tears were flowing profusely, in his mind now there was only the word if. If he had not betrayed Aleta, if he had been more patient to wait for her to return, and if he had not been persuaded by Satan, he would have been living happily with her.

Devan could only cry lamenting Aleta's departure because of her stupidity. Even the shirt he was wearing was wet with tears making him not go to work. The hair that had been neatly combed was now messy because it was ruffled by Devan. His appearance was now like someone who had been raining with a face wet with tears.

But suddenly, Devan stood up straight and rubbed the rough tears that ran down his cheeks. He threw the paper he had crumpled onto the floor and walked quickly out of the guest room with his cell phone. He was like a confused person who kept circling the entire room in the house.

"Aleta, where the hell are you?" panic Devan.

"Aleta don't joke. I know you're just hiding and a little angry aren't you?" his yell.

Looks like Devan still can't believe that Aleta really left him. From the second floor to the lower floor and back of the house did not escape the search for the man. Never found Aleta's whereabouts, Devan has begun to get frustrated again. Even Devan yelled constantly calling Aleta's name but there was no answer at all.

"Damn.." aspersons Devan.

Devan immediately threw his body onto the living room couch when he found his call on Aleta's number only answered by the operator. Devan repeatedly cursed, even now his emotions have peaked. He did not want to lose Aleta, his best friend and soul mate.

Unyielding, he immediately opened CCTV footage of his home. Sure enough, it looks like around 3 am Aleta left this house by pulling her suitcase. Devan wanted to cry when he saw it because the CCTV only leads inside the house while outside the yard is not there at all. So he couldn't figure out who Aleta was going to be with. Once again, he cursed his stupidity.

Not willing to give up so easily, he tried to contact the Aleta family. Who knows, his wife will just stay and calm in her family home. But he had repeatedly contacted his parents and other brothers, the result of which he got.

"Aleta, I beg you not to go" cried Devan again to realize that Aleta was now gone from her life.

"Remember Aleta, I'll never divorce and even let you go. If someday I manage to find you, I'll lock you up at home so you can't leave again" he mumbled with obsession.

Silenced by the two-story house there were only the sound of crying and shouting Devan who regretted his actions and wanted Aleta back. But the rice has become porridge, Aleta chose to leave Devan to start her new life together with her future children.

***

Behind the door of the two-story house was a woman who was eavesdropping on what was really happening. He had wanted to meet Devan, but when he was about to enter the house it turned out that he listened to Devan's cries and cried while telling stories about his problems. He chose to eavesdrop on it for a while to find out what was really going on. That woman is Seina.

After hearing only a cry from Devan, Seina was able to conclude that Aleta had now left from the man's side. She is so happy to hear this, it is time for her to step into Devan's life as a friend sharing her troubles. He will continue to accompany Devan in his worst moments so that the man will melt against him so that Seina can get her love.

"Good, Aleta. You finally left Devan's life. Indeed, the only one who deserves to accompany Devan is me" muttered Seina with a cynical smile.

Seina immediately changed her face to be sad, then entered the two-story house. Upon entering the house, Devan was seen sitting curled up while crying. It was heartbreaking to cry for those who heard it.

"Devan..."
