First Time Knows the Phone

Adeline's room, bright because of the sunlight entering through the window, slowly darkened again because the curtains were closed again by Adeline who was now ready to go to work.

The clock attached to the wall of the living room shows at 08:25 making Adeline rush to pick up her shoes.

"Lo's leaving at this hour, lin?" asked Agatha who had just come out of the bathroom with her hair still covered by a towel.

Adeline who sits on the floor to make it easier to wear shoes also looks back. "Yes, the road from here to Al's tavern took about thirty minutes, so I had to leave sooner."

"Ojek motorbike, lin. Fifteen minutes from here to there on the bike. You are very diligent walking work," said Agatha. During his life, Ayline was often walking everywhere, so Agatha was not surprised by Adeline who went home on foot with Rebyano last night.

Adeline digested Agatha's words just now. True to think, riding something like a horse that Adeline used to travel in the previous world can shorten the time and be more comfortable as well because it is just sitting during the trip. Adeline took the phone in her bag. After the phone was on which Adeline saw only the hours whose minutes had changed. "No message from Rebyano." Adeline showed Agatha the screen.

Agatha's hand stalled to pick up the phone in Adeline's hand as she walked over to Adeline. "His data network has not been logged on, Ayline," Agatha said.

Adeline immediately hurriedly stood up to see the phone being tampered with by Agatha to activate her data network. Finally now Adeline knows the function of foreign icons that can activate the internet phone.

Two incoming messages from an unknown number are immediately listed on the notification because the phone was filled with quota yesterday but Adeline does not know how to use it.

Agatha returned the phone to Adeline. "That's Rebyano's number" he said. Then Agatha went into her room.

With a doubt, Adeline's index finger pressed the text of the message in the notification bar. His heart was relieved when his entire screen displayed a room chat display on Rebyano's number.

"Oh this is how it works." Adeline nodded her head.

Understandably, mobile phones have never existed in their home world. So Adeline had to dabble a lot to use that thing.

The incoming voice call from Rebyano's number took Adeline by surprise. Adeline swiped the green phone icon because there was an arrow pointing upwards at that icon.

"Hello Ayline." Rebyano's voice sounded indicating the phone is connected.

Instead of answering, Adeline was confused thinking about how to call the right one.

"Rebyano, did you hear my voice?" ask her by bringing the phone in her hand close to her lips.

"Listen. I heard your voice."

Adeline's heart was instantly relieved. "What's up, Rebyano?"

"Ayline. Did you bring your phone to your lips?" ask Rebyano.

Rebyano's question just left Adeline confused as to why the man knew what he was doing. To the extent that Adeline thinks that Rebyano is a fortune teller. "Yes. How do you know?" askalanya.

Rebyano's laughing voice sounded loud on the speaker phone that was at the bottom. "Your voice is strange. You better stick it in your ear. Or are you in a crowded place?"

"No. I'm no longer in a crowded place" he said. Then with doubt Adeline put the phone in her ear according to what Rebyano just said. "Did my voice sound better?"

"Well now it's better," Rebyano replied making Adeline exhale her relief. "Look Ayline, I want to take you to the store together, do you want? If you want I'll go straight to your house right now."

"Better don't, Rebyano. You have to go a long way here and then leaving with me to the store takes a lot of time. Mom says the store opens at nine. It's not enough if you have to come here first."

"Can you drive a motorcycle?" ask her in a quiet voice.

Rebyano laughing. "Yes can dong. Why do I take you to go with me on a motorcycle if I can not ride a motorcycle? I wouldn't be as smart as that to push a dead motor."

Adeline laughed embarrassedly. "Sorry, Rebyano."

"Why are you sorry? I just need your answer to my offer to go together."

"Am I not troublesome if we leave together?" ask Adeline while confirming the strap of her bag that is slowly declining.

"No, Ayline. I offer, meaning I'm ready to be bothered."

Adeline smiled sweetly even though that smile could not be seen by Rebyano. "I'm leaving with you."

"Sip. Wait, I'll go straight to your house."

Adeline nodded although her nod was also not visible to Rebyano. "Be careful, Rebyano."

The phone connection was decided first by Rebyano making Adeline not confused to disconnect their phone. Room chat Rebyano again appeared on the mobile screen that made Adeline think about how to give the number a name.

The three dots in the upper right corner are pressed by Adeline. Among the ones listed Adeline directly presses the text add to the contact. He smiled proudly as the order to enter the name was now visible. Adeline managed to tamper with to get new things from the phone.

"Don't add emot love." Agatha whispered right in Adeline's ear making Adeline surprised.

"Gosh, Agatha. You just have to take it." Adeline hit Agatha's arm slowly.

Agatha laughed and picked up her slippers on the shelf behind the door. "You're leaving with Rebyano?" her question was immediately getting a nod from Adeline. "Yaudah means I'm first, ojek I want to arrive."

With that Adeline immediately rushed out of the house. "Lock you bring."

"Oh yes about the house key with the fence." Agatha was looking for something in her bag. Two keys that are the same shape as the key held by Agatha are directly presented to Adeline. "Gue made this spare key again. Take it. I don't know what time I'll be home."

Adeline received that backup key. "Today you work a lot until you don't know what time to go home?" tanyakanya.

Agatha's head shook her head while her hands were busy locking the door of the house. "Today just mami nemenin shop buy cake ingredients. But usually mami shop if I ngajak cake shopping likes to stop by first to the clothes shops. Fears to forget the time even shopping until night."

"Oh that... Yes, Agatha."

"Lo is also his work spirit. Later if I have more money I will stop by the store Al deh," said Agatha while rubbing Adeline's arm.

Adeline smiled happily. "It has to be!"

"Yes." Yeah." Agatha smiled sweetly and then turned to look at the motor that stopped in front of the fence of the house that was still closed. "My object has arrived. I'm first, lin."

Adeline nodded. "Be careful, Atha!" he said with a little shout to Agatha who climbed on the bike. Then his hand returned the wave of Agatha's hand which slowly disappeared.

Adeline chose to sit on one of the chairs on the porch of the house to wait for Rebyano's presence.

Although this area is a residential area, but the neighborhood of Ayline's house is very quiet like an elite residential neighborhood in general. Adeline is amazed at Ayline's parents who can get a home in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of an unusually crowded capital city. So that Adeline who hitchhiked all her can feel the calmness in this new world.
