Ch.276 - Become a Devil's Toy
Luckily the traffic was not jammed and Mertie could arrive sooner than expected.17 minutes by taxi from Gallagher to Eartha Mall. Although actually Mertie continued to urge the Taxi Driver to speed.
Getting off the Taxi, Mertie immediately began running to quickly enter the shopping center whose branches are all over the city in the province of Eartha. Mertie had contacted the police by informing them that there was another case of hypnotization.
Surely the police do not believe it but Mertie then introduces herself as the wanted daughter. The girl who had a recording of the hypnotic incident. Mertie had no intention of handing over the evidence the tape was just using it to call the police and it looks like it worked.
Mertie went to the Tifanny jewelry store first, but there were no signs Felix meant, "Don't tell me she's home ...." Mertie panicked and began looking again to the next place, Piaget, and her eyes immediately fell on the exact same man described by Felix looking through the jewelry, "Who is the man? but she didn't look exhausted at all, her face was so fresh to say sleepy ...." Mertie doubts if she is indeed the target of the Devil.
The mall is currently crowded because Friday night, many visitors are enjoying the weekend. Mertie restlessly continued to pay attention to the man and on the other hand currently there are many people in the mall.
"Where are you?" the incoming message immediately made Mertie relieved.
"I'm at the Eartha Mall, part of the Piaget brand jewelry store. Come here!" Mertie replied with lightning fast.
For a moment Mertie took her eyes off the man and after seeing him again the man had dropped his bag on the floor and was holding his head in pain.
"Sir, is it okay?" the clerk asked the store to get his bag that had fallen.
"Yes, it's okay. Please pack this necklace!" said the Man.
The store clerk moved quickly and the man took out his wallet to pay for the necklace using his card. The man looks pale leaving the jewelry store when he crosses paths with Mertie.
"Is that a sign that he's possessed?" ask Mertie in your heart.
Mertie continued to follow the man who was now slowly walking normally unlike before who was walking unbecoming. Sure enough, now the man was holding the shoulder of someone standing in front of him on the escalator. The man began to whisper into the ears of the man in front of him. When they got off the escalator, they separated.
Mertie stopped following the man earlier and began to follow the man who had just been hypnotized or the Devil who was inside the man who bought the jewelry just now as he had been moved to the body of another man, that's how the pattern should be but unfortunately it turns out that the hypnotized was with his family. Her two children greeted her on the third floor with cinema tickets in hand.
"No! how is this ...." Mertie ruffled her hair.
"He's the one?" ask someone from behind to hold her shoulder.
Mertie was shocked not to play because someone was holding her shoulder. But after turning around it turned out to be Tan, Teo and Tom.
"Hahh .. You guys apparently!" mertie said she was so relieved and tried to normalize her heart rhythm by breathing through her nose and exhaling through her mouth.
"In the cinema ..it would be very dangerous!" said Tan.
"More than that there is his wife and two daughters. The first time there may be a perpetrator who is with his family ..." said Tom.
"The man seemed to have just come home from work and come straight here to watch with his family" Tan said.
"It's been a night like this, why watch it at this hour when there's a little kid .." said Teo.
"He's only five years apart than we know!" Mertie.
"There's no other choice because Father only comes home at this hour .." Tan said.
"Why not tomorrow? they've got a whole day .." Teo said.
"There could be another plan tomorrow and the kid wants to watch a movie before the holidays with the family .." said Tom.
"What is how? there is no other choice, we also watch dong!" tom smiled.
Tan bought tickets for the four of them, fortunately the film that the family would watch was a cartoon film so Tan himself could buy it without having an adult replace him buy.
"I'm not sure if that person was possessed, he's fine it looks ...." Mertie whispered because she was already in the cinema.

After exiting the cinema, they continued to follow the family all the way to the underground car park.
"He wouldn't do it here? is it at his house just in action? not as usual .. usually at least outside, away from the perpetrator's house and close to the crowd" said Teo.
"How do we follow him? oh no they start leaving .. let's hurry! we're looking for a taxi outside!" tom started running.
"EP 1813 Y. .. I've memorized the license plate number of the vehicle" Tan said.
As they ran to get out of that underground parking lot, they suddenly stopped and their necks stiffened to look over. On the left, there was a parked car with two people inside. The man in the passenger seat was hitting the head of a woman sitting in the driver's seat. The woman's head continued to hit the glass on the car door. Blood had filled the windshield but the man still had not stopped even the woman was unconscious.
"The man ...." Mertie closed her mouth and started falling.
"Is he the hypnotist?" ask Tom.
Mertie was silent without a word and trembled, Tom resuscitated her by holding both of Mertie's cheeks to wake up, "Look at me! he was the one who hypnotized earlier or wasn't he?!" shouting Tom.
Mertie could only nod and let out tears, "It's my fault ...."
"No, it looks like we're being played again. The demon did not move itself but remained inside the hypnotist's body ..." Tan said.
"You called the police, right?" ask Tom.
"I saw a cop on the second floor!" said Teo.
"Okay, then!" Tom grinned.
"1 ... 2 ... 3!" Tan counted, after the count of three they shouted out loud.
"What are you guys doing?" ask Mertie.
"At a time like this, saving her was by acting like a frightened child .." replied Tan and started yelling again for help.
Soon many came to the place where the children were shouting, some were wanting to get into the car so not and headed to their place as well.
