Ch.14 - Child Hunter

"You believe the story of Mr. Egan" Felix tried to calm down.


Now each of them is holding Felix's shirt from behind. Felix who was actually a bit afraid also remained brave. It seems like a responsibility can be a force in itself for someone to be brave. But those who believe ghosts exist or not if they know what fear is will be self-suggested.


Because they were all silent without a word making the slightest sound so that it could be heard let alone the ears of a frightened person were more sensitive.


There was the sound of footsteps stepping on the leaves and branches of broken trees. As they simultaneously followed the direction of the voice and finally saw a person in hooded clothes and carrying an axe on his shoulders standing firm.


Felix who saw it immediately wanted to run after him but because the 4 hands that held it from behind made him so bounced fell on Cain, Tan, Teo and Tom.


"Lwuuwwwwaaa!" They all screamed to make an owl fly.


"Great, what if someone hears us?" Felix took his fallen flashlight.


"It seems better if many are looking for his treasure," Teo trembled.


"The one who at least wants a rival to find his treasure is you," Cain quipped Teo.


"And sure enough it seems like only we have this treasure map," Felix said as he cleaned his clothes.


"Why do you think that?" ask Tan.


"Because when the water maze game is only this map that I see, if there are certainly only two maps that are in the place of our team and who are in the opposing team and see.. now it's just us in this forest."


"Or we just yell so the other kids can hear and run towards here" said Tom, who was ready to scream but was silenced by Teo, "We have to be brave for Tom."


But the funny thing is that Teo told me to be brave but when Tom closed his mouth his hands trembled.


The sound of wood being cut down was heard again. But instead of getting scared Felix started walking the lead in front.


Teo and Tom, who were about to follow Felix, shouted as a net lifted him up the tree, "Oh no.. Tan, Felix, Cain!!!" Tan who saw the net would go up immediately ran to grab it but it was too late.


"Cain, climb the tree.. Tan help me collect the leaves so they don't get too sick if they fall later..Tom..."


"Young..." The frightened Teo and Tom looked directly at Felix to listen to the order.


"Try to open a knot that can bring you down here!"


The knot expert immediately carried out his mission and one by one the knot was open.


"Don't open the last knot until I tell you!" Felix ran back and forth collecting leaves with Tan, who was now on the mountain.


Cain also helped open the knot above Teo and Tom. Until finally we get to the last node, with a whistle from Cain.. Felix stopped his activities and climbed a tree.


Cain and Felix extend their sleeves to make an impromptu glove to hold the rope so that Teo and Tom slowly go down.


"Can't you just leave without us. After getting the treasure you can ask for help from teachers and friends to lower us down," Teo began to hesitate to open the last knot.


"Don't joke, without you I better not get the treasure.. Tan can go call Mr. Egan now," Felix tried to convince.


"Well, I'll run right away.wait a minute!" Tan who was still collecting leaves was now about to turn around to return but... "No!" yells Teo and Tom.


"His treasure will not be as good as you think, it is better to put safety first." shouted Felix scolding.


"No. Let's try!" shout Teo.


"We're counting on you" cried Tom.


Teo and Tom prepare to open the final knot, Felix and Cain prepare to pull the rope. The Tan below could only pray.


Closing his eyes, Tan felt the leaves he had gathered were now scattered and ventured to open his eyes but was immediately embraced by Teo and Tom, "Thank God..." the triplets hugged tightly.


"You saw them, right? how happy I am because you are here.I used to be like one of the 3 brothers," said Cain who is now sitting on a tree branch.


They continued the journey again which was now filled with sweat.


"The trap was a new rope, '" Tan with a hunting breath.


"Yes, it must be the work of Mr. Egan only he can make such a knot" said Cain.


Mr. Egan who had planned to start by telling a scary story to scare who will look for treasure and disguise as a woodcutter ghost to add to the atmosphere of the story earlier more real.


"Guestshh!" Felix told them to shut up.


Not long after that, the lights formed like a road. They turned off each flashlight and started walking in the direction of the lamp.


And they arrived in front of a log that had been cut down with colorful lights and on top of it was a tape recorder, "This is the treasure? ask Teo.


Felix pressed the tape recorder... "Congratulations..have you treasure hunters.How did you get here? hemmm.but how.. Only one person can get his treasure.Now call someone who has this beautiful voice.hahahaha," Mr. Egan's voice was like playing a drama.


As they all confused to see who would call, Felix immediately grabbed the phone that was stuck behind the tape recorder. Seeing that Felix would call Mr. Egan none of them wanted to stop, "Hello..."


"Ows.. Felix yeah."


"Yes sir."


"Congratulations Felix now I'll tell you the last clue to the location of the treasure..."


"No sir, I. We don't want the treasure."


The faces of the four of them instantly brightened hearing Felix's words.


"It's a pity that only you have got the treasure map, none of you want to get the treasure? come on, just pick one person and it can be shared."


"No sir, if only one of us can get the treasure then we better go back and hand this map over to someone else" Felix hung up.


"Let's go home!" bring Teo and Tom.


They were heavy-hearted, but their feet were light enough to leave the forest and return to the camp by walking while embracing each other's shoulders laughing, "I don't think it out," Cain started again laughing abnormally which shattered the formation while embracing each other making them all almost fall down.

Arriving back at the camp all the lights suddenly lit up again and heard from the speakers in each tree made Mr. Egan sound very loud, "CONGratulations TO TREASURE HUNTERS.. FELIX FANE FARREL, CAIN VALE WILMER, THANE ZERACH, TRAYVON ZERACH.. GET A SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIP FROM GALLAGHER SCHOOL!!!"


Hearing the sound of the announcement from Mr. Egan made all the disciples wake up in shock, "There is indeed a treasure hunt?"


Looking at the clothes of the 5 dirty and sweat-filled children on that cold night made all of them instantly cry out in envy.


"PLEASE APPLAUSE FOR THESE 5 LITTLE HUNTERS!" said Mr. Egan again.


All the camp students immediately applauded. FCT3 still do not know what to respond and still dumbfounded until Bu Latoya came to bring a medal and draped it on them.


"The Brave Boy Hunter," To Cain.


"The Loving Little Hunter," To Tan.


"The Clever Boy Hunter" To Teo and Tom.


"The Loyal Boy Hunter, Friend" To Felix.


"Come on. emmm. applause!" ms Latoya said.


Among the applause from all the camp students, Felix grabbed a medal hanging from his neck and looked at it until the clapping seemed to disappear and he was alone... " Se..tia Friend?"
