Ch.98 - Blood Thread
Felix, who did not know all the children, was greatly harmed by not knowing who the owner of the voice was.
"If Cain were to hear, he would know who was speaking earlier ...." Felix felt deeply regretful of his personality that was less open to making friends.
While Cain still seemed to be chatting, Felix walked out of the basketball court. The only way is to wait outside to see who is out, so that it can be followed to be stopped.
Cain, who sees Felix, immediately stops his jokes with other children and starts chasing Felix.
"What's wrong?" tanya Cain grabbed Felix's shoulder.
Felix deliberately made Cain able to read his mind. But unfortunately the voice of the man was not recorded by the mind of Felix and Cain could not guess who.
"Hi Felix!" greet Dea from afar by hugging a bottle of drink while running.
Felix and Cain could only sigh in annoyance as the conversation got delayed.
"You can't sleep, can you?!" dea said giving the bottle of drink she was carrying, "It's warm chocolate milk, it will make you sleep well!"
"Ahaha .. thanks!" said Cain quickly received the bottle so Dea could quickly leave as well.
"It's not for you!" the word Dea took from Cain's hand and gave Felix straight away. But Felix gave it back to Dea.
"All right! you can drink a little .. But for you to remember this is Felix's!" Dea gave Cain a bottle of drink when he had snatched it from Cain's hand. Cain was dumbfounded not to think.
"He wants us to sleep well when we have to stay up!" felix said as Dea was far away and took a bottle of drink from Cain's hand and placed it on the floor.
"It's clear that someone set the stage for Magdalene's disappearance and now someone else knows that the events of Magdalene's disappearance were arranged?" Cain was confused by the sudden appearance of the unknown person earlier or it could have been that the two were the same person. He could have done it just to get confused. Cain also wanted if it was just suspicion and hoped that the culprit was Half Sanguiber or Devil not his schoolmate.
"It is possible that there are indeed those who sympathize with Magdalene so as to hold a grudge about it ..." said Felix.
"Maybe it was someone close to Magdalene!" said Cain.
"So we've narrowed down the perpetrator by reducing Kak Cornelia. Because the voice you heard earlier was a male voice .." said Cain.
"Indeed, it's better to narrow down the perpetrator, but we should also not let our guard down and still have to keep an eye on all the candidates!" reply Felix.
"What are you guys doing out here?" tanya Slade, upperclassman member of the osis training team who will be passing on the boys.
Inevitably Felix and Cain must go back inside. The lights began to turn off and Felix opened his hearing wide to hear the slightest sound. Cain began to pretend to hug Felix and lay his head on his back. It was done in order to clearly see who was moving outside the door.
But time passed and no one came out the door at all. Felix and Cain who really like to sleep even keep the spirit awake. Cain was envious to see the three twins who looked like they had slept well. Felix looked at his watch at three o'clock in the morning and looked at Cain.
A few moments later there was a sound of a bang and there began to scream loudly making all the children wake up.
"Please! I can't move!" yelled the boy.
Felix and Cain were first to the origin of the sound and were immediately stunned by the sight he saw. The lights were turned on and it became clear there was like a red thread from all directions tying up the child's body.
The other child thought he was being overpowered by the ghost so could not move and started calling for help.
It's the function of Cain's blood that seems to stop someone from committing a crime. But there was another surprise, the bound child was someone he knew very well.
"Dallas's? you all right?" asked Mr. Egan to start moving Dallas' body.
"I can't believe Dallas was the culprit!" said Cain.
"She was the first candidate Mertie chose, it was possible that she was the one we were looking for and she had plenty of time to learn and get to know how Mertie worked because she was the first victim!" felix.
"No! this is not true Felix! there's no way the culprit is Dallas!" Cain still can't believe it.
"Just as you don't believe in your own strength, don't you see this thread of your blood that's struggling to hold Dallas to motion!" felix tried to wake Cain up.
"not necessarily! we don't know very well the function of my blood! it could be something else ..." said Cain trying to deny.
Cain closed his eyes and before long the threads that bound Dallas broke off one by one.
Felix for the first time also did not really insist on denying Cain because of what he heard earlier a different voice. Obviously he knew very well Dallas' voice and that the thought was different from what he had heard. Of course it signifies from another class because Felix feels alien to that voice. But with that thread of blood evidence, Felix begins to waver again and begins to suspect Dallas.
"The only way is to find the owner of that voice!" Felix.
Cain is also not willing if Dallas is the culprit.
"The voice I heard was definitely not our classmate but it also did not sound foreign at least I've heard it once ... I've heard it before .. but who?" felix.
The children were ordered to go back to sleep guarded by a male homeroom teacher near the door. Dallas who wanted to be driven home refused, he said it would be more surprising for his parents to come home at this hour. He wasn't hurt at all. But those sleeping next to Dallas started to stay away for fear of being exposed to the same thing. Eventually Dallas slept flanked by the homeroom teacher.
At five o'clock in the morning the sound of the school bell and the training team of the osis who came to wake up. But Felix and Cain had even woken up before being woken up because they were not sleeping at all.
If last night was training with materials, now is mental training. With less hours of sleep due to material training and waking up at dawn is a form of training to mentally prepare in making proposals or reports of activities when entering the osis later and must wake up early to prepare activities. Actually at four o'clock had wanted to be awakened but because of the incident that befell Dallas finally retreated considering this is still training.
The ranks of the upperclassmen with loud voices and creepy faces were already preparing to flatten. But still in the reasonable stage, this is only intended so that later on when participating in training actually they are not shocked and mentally ready.
The trainees were told to run around the field.
"What are you going to do later? after this training?" ask someone to Tan.
Felix who heard that immediately stopped running and was left behind by the line.
"What's wrong?" ask Cain.
"The voice ... Parish!" felix said with a shocked face.
"Parishis? then what's Dallas?"
