Chapter 46: Go Now

A knock on the door stopped the father and son chatter in the room. A man entered without further ado after there were no longer any guards outside. Since Je is already there, of course Lary can come back and will look after her again if Je orders her later. 

"Good afternoon, sir. You seem to be healthy?" greeting a young man made Su Man To frown as he had only recently seen a man other than Richard next to his daughter.

"Do you want to come here, Uncle?" jolt Je at Liam who approached them with a basket of fruit in his hand without further ado. 

"What else can I do other than visit the future in-laws," Liam replied with a small grin at Je who was immediately throbbing. He then changed his expression and smiled back at Su Man To. "My name is William Scorpion, Mr. Su Man To. You can call me Liam. Here I bring you fruit and may you get well soon." 

"Thank you, Mr. Liam. Sorry I couldn't welcome you so well." 

"Ah, don't be so formal, sir. You can just call me Liam. Or Liam's son-in-law could too. No need for frills, sir." 

"All right, Liam boy." Su Man To could not possibly get up even if it was just to sit by himself due to his current condition. However, in his heart wondered how could his daughter know a man who looked authoritative, but also terrible at the same time. Although covered by his long clothes, unfortunately the scorpion tattoo on Liam's neck was seen so clearly in Su Man To's old eyes. Maybe if the clothes worn more open, there will be more other images on the young man's body. 

"My Daddy doesn't accept foster children. After all, you deserve to be his sister compared to a daughter-in-law. So don't dream too long and get up and go home, Uncle." Je emphasizes his call to Liam while seizing the hand he carries. However, Je's scathing phrase never hurt Liam and instead made him a special attraction for the man.

"Look, Uncle! Your daughter is very fierce," said Liam trying to joke by complaining to Su Man To for the sake of approaching the Je family. 

They then return to chatting like people who just knew. It was quite difficult for Liam to get close to Su Man To because he had never been able to become a sycophant before. Luckily the two were not in an awkward situation because Su Man To himself was still adjusting to opening his attention to Je. 

Until nightfall, Liam did not intend to return to make Je a little upset. "Uncle, don't you want to go home?" 

"No," Liam replied briefly while focusing on peeling the apple.

"Why?" 

"If I go home. Who's gonna help you take care of Daddy? I'll stay here." Liam called Su Man To Daddy without any burden and approval while raising one of his eyebrows.

Liam put down the knife for a moment, then stood pulling Je's arm to speak some distance away from Su Man To. "If I go home who's gonna help you take care of your father, girl?" 

"I can do it myself."

"Including pooping?" 

Je was silent for a moment, he was confused if he had to help his father into the bathroom, especially Su Man To could not move. To urinate there may still be a hose attached, but what about a bowel movement. "I can call the nurse, Uncle. Not a lot of reasons! You better just go home!" 

"No. I will still accompany you to take care of your father-in-law tonight," Liam cheered while holding her captive. 

"alright. It's up to you. But, give me your car keys!" pinta Je held out her hand.

"You want to go?"

"Because you're ready to wait for my father tonight. I'd sleep at home pretty well, anyway," Je said.

Inevitably, Liam hands the keys to Je. Although he was not sure Je would come home by his nature, but at least he could watch from afar. "Be careful."

Without answering, Je immediately approached Su Man To and gently covered the man's legs. "I'll go home first, Daddy. Rest and do not hesitate to bother! I'll be back tomorrow."

Su Man To who was still not asleep could only nod. "Be careful, son."

Je kissed Dad's forehead for the first time and without saying goodbye to Liam he grabbed his bag on the chair just like that and moved out of the room. She had not been alone since earlier, but Jenni's soul had already moved beside her after getting the information. "We're going to that place now!" inner Je on Jenni without wasting time.
