The Price of Sainthood

The Price of Sainthood
The secret of Helena

In the morning, delicious dishes were served on the Narendra family's dining table. Previously, Narendra had deliberately ordered the chef who was in charge of cooking several breakfast menus. Today four members of the family will eat the meal together. He wants everything to feel perfect.

Narendra approached the table with a neat appearance. It looks fresh as usual. The chef and some servants who were there greeted him respectfully.

"Master, I've prepared everything you asked for." The chef gave a report. "Please check. Maybe something still makes you displeased?"

Narendra as the first person to come to the dining room was scanning the dishes carefully. Shortly thereafter, the mature, firm-faced and handsome man revealed a smile.

"perfect." He praised the chef. "Thank you for all the cooking you made. I like it."

The chef smiled a full smile even though it was not the first time Narendra had done such a thing. Appreciations. Narendra always gave it to all the workers as a sign of gratitude.

The butler pulled out a chair for Narendra to occupy. The middle-aged woman who still looked fit then offered.

"Do you want breakfast now?"

"No, Saras. I waited for Helena, Alisha and Lara," answered Narendra, and answered a polite nod by Saras. The woman then stood on standby behind Narendra's chair.

Moments later, Helena appears followed by Lara. Both of them look beautiful with casual clothes by Lara and socialite formal clothes by Helena.

"August, Ma. Morning, Pa." Lara says hello. He kissed his parents' cheeks alternately, then circulated his gaze around the room. "Where is Alisha? Not down yet, huh?" ask her with a plain face.

"Maybe in a minute." Narendra replied, while Helena snorted.

"Freshly breakfast the first day, it's too late."

"Damelene!" sambar Narendra's. The man looked at Helena full of anger.

"Why?" Helena raised her chin like a challenge. "It's true, isn't it?"

"Mom, Papa, plis, don't make a fuss on the first day Alisha is here." Lara warned with a pleading expression. The round-eyed girl looked at her parents in turn. "Don't show Alisha what your real relationship is! Does Papa want, Alisha asked to go home to her mother because she couldn't bear to see your attitude?"

Narendra and Helena looked at each other in silence. Both of them looked faintly furious, but tried to hold back. Helena chose to gulp down the orange juice on her right, while Narendra returned to the latest business magazine with a cover of her smiling sweet self.

A few moments later the sound of a high heels knock echoed amidst the silence. Everyone at the dining table turned their eyes towards him.

A girl with a mini skirt stepped gracefully down the stairs. Behind him, a girl in the typical clothes of a waiter walked up to him.

Alisha looks beautiful with her hair cut freely which is only sweetened with small red flops. He who does not like open clothes choose to wear a light color blazer to cover the tank top color in line with his choice of maid.

Both Narendra, Lara and Helena looked flabbergasted at Alisha's new appearance. That girl is so beautiful and graceful. It was much different from yesterday when I first came to that place.

"Come, Honey. Sit down and have breakfast with you." Narendra. He glanced at the empty seat on Lara's side for Alisha to occupy.

Alisha who had stopped at the last step nodded obediently and walked slowly closer to the chair. Somewhat clumsy the girl was occupying. However, Lara's smile as a welcome in the morning was enough to make her happy today.

Breakfast began. There was no sound of conversation, just the clink of a spoon clashing against a plate.

This was the second time Alisha had sat there and the first time she had breakfast together. He was getting used to eating dishes in an elegant way. Although only in a short time, at least what Lisa taught yesterday about how to eat well makes it not visible to the village while at a dining table with high-class people like the Narendra family.

Loh, where is he? Alisha is surprised to find Lisa is no longer in her place. He was standing not far from her. Alisha panicked when Lara said goodbye after gulping down orange juice and wiping her mouth with a tissue.

"Ma, Pa, Lara go first." He got up from the chair and kissed his parents' cheeks in turn.

"Be careful, dear." Helena.

"certain." Lara looked at Alisha and smiled. "I'm first, Al."

"okay." Alisha answered softly even though she was still confused. This is his first day of college. He should have been able to feel calmer when Lara accompanied him. Now his half-sister had even left first.

The barley bread he chewed was suddenly difficult to swallow. He's alone now. Being in the big campus alone, you can be sure he was like a lost child. Pacing to and fro looking for a room he did not know. The rich people there may be willing to help him who comes from the bottom.

What happened, happened. Alisha felt no need to be afraid of what would happen later. He has a God who will keep him.

"Pa, Alisha's off to campus first. Alisha's booked an ojek online to deliver."

"What's? Online object? With clothes like this?" The question with a high tone was not thrown from Narendra's lips, but from Helena's mouth. The woman looked at Alisha in disbelief and then chuckled.

"Damelene!" Narendra looked at his wife cynically. Doesn't like his daughter being underestimated. He turned his gaze to Alisha with a gentle expression. "The car that will take you is ready in front. You're going to college with Lisa for a few days."

"Li-Lisa?" alisha asked in disbelief.

"Yes." Yeah." Narendra. Then turned his gaze towards the back of Alisha along with the sound of approaching footsteps. "That's it, Lisa's ready."

Alisha spontaneously followed Narendra's point of view and then fell into a state of shock. How not? Now he found Lisa smiling at him. It was not that smile that left him speechless. It was Lisa's change in appearance that happened so quickly. I don't know where the service shirt went. Change the campus style outfit today that is so suitable to wear.

This way Lisa doesn't look like a waitress. Even when they were with Alisha, they looked like friends.

"Come, Miss. I'll be Miss's friend for the next few days" Lisa said with a smile.

"I want to talk." Narendra stopped Helena who was about to get out of her chair. Their two daughters had left for college in different vehicles. Now there are only them and some servants who have been used to lock their mouths tightly.

"Say. I don't have much time." Helena replied with her haughty attitude.

Without a word, Narendra pulled out something from the brown envelope that he had prepared earlier. Slightly throw until the photo is seen on the dining table.

Helena turned her eyes. He loudly portrayed himself with a young man with trembling hands.

"Where did you get this photo? This is not all true! I-I can explain everything!" Helena stuttered with a paled face. While Narendra only responded to his wife's reaction with a cynical look.

"Take good care of Alisha or you're the one I'm gonna kick out of this house."

Helena's stuck. He's careless. His affair was already known by Narendra despite being hidden in a tightrope. This is their last photo together in Bali some time ago.

It's a heavy choice. However, Helena did not want to be kicked out of her own home and lost property. Inevitably, he must treat Alisha like a princess himself even with a forced heart.
