The Price of Sainthood

The Price of Sainthood
There's my shoulder

I don't know how long Alisha has been here, by an artificial lake and sitting on a long iron chair. His eyes stared blankly at the calm lake water. His long hair occasionally flew in a soothing afternoon gust of wind.

There's not much he's doing today. All the cake orders he refused. Yesterday's order was also canceled unilaterally. He just wanted to relax for a moment. Just let go of fatigue while trying to examine the shocking facts that he just knew.

Remembering Narendra's face made her feel nauseous instantly. It could be that the man lived a good life after tormenting his mother and himself. Totally nauseating.

Obviously, he knows what Narendra really is. The mature man had told him everything about him, about his family, even about his household life. As a girl who is layman to the married life, it makes her feel pity.

However, after knowing the real facts, plus the clingy memory of how they first met, that sense of compassion instantly became disgusted. Even worse, he almost became .. ah! Alisha was even ashamed of herself whenever she remembered the incident again.

I don't know how many times Narendra has changed women just to satisfy his lust. How many times has he betrayed the sacred promise of marriage. Alisha can't believe she has a striped man father. If only someone said she was a stupid girl, Alisha did not mind because she refused the abundant treasure that Narendra had offered.

Lord... Is this sick what it feels like to be disappointed? Apparently I admire someone who has ruined my mother.

Alisha smiled bitterly lamenting her own fate. He even hoped it was just a dream that everything would vanish when he woke up tomorrow morning.

The tranquility that wrapped Alisha in solitude was momentarily dissolved due to the arrival of someone. Dante who was wearing a dark color hoodie appeared from behind with gasping breath as a result of running around.

"Alisha."

The young man mentioned the name of the girl with an expression that was difficult to explain.

"You're here, anyway? Why panic people, anyway? Hp wear off everything! I'm like Aunt Wanda until you go everywhere, you know!" omel Dante sitting next to Alisha. His right hand then moved to wipe the sweat that condensed on his temple.

"Where are they looking? I clearly did not meet! My people are here." Instead of feeling guilty for bothering people, Alisha actually said ketus while putting on a jutek face.

Dante snorted in annoyance while shaking his head. He was inexhaustible by the attitude of the girl beside him. Realizing that this was not Alisha's habit made her stare at the girl. Alisha's eyes successfully made her instantly stunned.

"Hey! You're crying?" He grabbed Alisha's chin and forced the girl to look at him.

"What the hell, Dan. Release, ah!" Alisha brushed aside Dante's hand and hurriedly threw away her face. Definitely to hide his eyes. But it's free. Because Dante had seen it first.

"Al, what's the matter, anyway? Dong's story is the same as mine. I'm ready to be horrified, really," persuaded Dante carefully while tightening his seat.

Begging, Alisha did not respond to Dante's words.

"Al," call Dante again. Unfortunately, Alisha is still not affected by her calls.

Dante took a deep breath from almost despair. His curiosity has not been answered. Early in the morning Alisha told her not to come because there was no cake to be delivered. Then, Wanda contacted him in a panic. And now, she found Alisha's eyes as if she had just cried two days and two nights. What exactly happened to that girl?

"Everyone has different feelings, as well as his way of dealing with problems. There's something funny. Something is sensitive. There are even better things to keep alone." Dante paused his words for a moment and looked at Alisha with sincerity, then tried to convince her. "But you have me, Al. I'm ready to help you with whatever it is."

"I'll never judge you with any of those dirty words. I will support you. I know you're not a weak girl. The way you hide your face like this, by the way you are alone here to find calm, it shows how great you are trying to strengthen yourself. I know you don't want to get your loved ones into this, do you? But don't forget your character as a woman, Al. You still need a man's shoulder as a backrest. And now my shoulder is right here, next to yours. You can use that now."

Dante patted his own shoulder again to convince Alisha of the seriousness of his talk. Not a mere bribe. He speaks so too, not perfunctorily. He first reads the situation and tries to understand. Hoping to knock Alisha's heart to share her story.

He had searched Alisha to several places as Wanda had said, but to no avail. Then he just remembered that Alisha had told him about visiting artificial lakes often when there was a problem. Dante was really relieved when he found Alisha there. However, even so he did not know what the problem that befell Alisha was. Before he decided to come here, Wanda didn't give him any information.

As Alisha was still unmoved, Dante again continued his attempts to persuade her.

"Running from what hurts you will make you feel even more sick, Al. Better not to run. Face it all. Cuddle the wound until you heal by yourself."

Dante counsels Alisha so wisely as if she never ran away from trouble. He had forgotten the beginning of his being here because of what. For escaping.

Although it seems silent to give no response, but it turns out Alisha listened well to all the words of Dante. The advice that the young man gave did not miss the target at all. It's all true.

Even if he tried hard, even though he was used to being in trouble, but he was still a woman who needed a man's shoulder to lean on. A lifetime never felt the back of his father's shoulders, even heartbreak before feeling first love made him forget his nature as a woman.

Of course he did not want to embarrass himself in front of Dante by telling how his real father, telling how he had a very sad life story. He just needs a backrest to shed his sadness. The young man himself offered.

Perhaps everyone who knew her would say Alisha was an independent girl figure. But does he really not need a man? To be honest what people say is a big mistake. Alisha even felt sorry for herself because she had to self-indulge with 'self-reliant' frills'. Because what? Because no guy is willing to love him just because he's a girl without.

Very sad, isn't it? It could be said that he was thirsty for affection to not know what it was like to be happy.

Dante is the first young man who can accept him for who he is. Only this young man could give him comfort. He never expected grandiose to be made Dante as a couple. Simply looking at the cheerful face of the young man for her was already a bliss.

Without Dante thought, when he snorted irritated while peeing because he almost gave up persuading Alisha, sobs were heard from the side of his right. He turned his head and found Alisha's shoulders shaking violently along with her broken cries.

Dante gasped for Alisha's wet face. How not to be filled if he had never seen Alisha this sad before. Dante never saw a woman crying. Nor does it ever feel sorry to see others in grief.

However, for some reason the cry of this girl beside him sounded so heartbreaking. Like saving thousands of invisible wounds. Especially if looking back, Alisha who he knew was the type of girl who was jolly. This girl never indulged in grief just to attract someone's sympathy.

This is the first time Alisha has shown her sadness.

Without a second thought, Dante clasped Alisha's body into a hug. He not only gave his shoulder to rest on, but gave up his chest as a place where Alisha shed tears.
