"Whoops!"
Fane stood up and sighed deeply. He then grabbed a cigarette, slowly lit it, then sucked it.
However, both of his eyebrows immediately furrowed as he felt the gazes from the crowd turning abnormal.
"B-b-isn't he a soldier who kills enemies? Isn't he a fighter? Does he know anything about medicine?"
Finally, one of the old ladies slowly asked.
"How did he know about the science of medicine? Killing and saving lives are two very different things, right? The boy fainted anyway. He's not dead, is he?"
An old man asked in a worried tone.
Hearing the man's words, Little Jake's mother nearly fainted from shock. He glared at Fane.
"What's wrong with you? My son was okay before. Why is he not moving now? Did you just kill him? Could it be that you know that my family is very rich and think that 50 million dollars is too little for you?"
"Can't be?!"
A number of people from the crowd took deep breaths. If Fane really had such a thought, it was too evil. 50 million dollars and he still felt it was not enough?
"Impossible. My husband is not that kind of person!"
Selena immediately stepped forward and confronted the woman.
"If he wanted to kill your son, he wouldn't have jumped there in the first place. Saving him just to kill him? Isn't that overkill?"
Unexpectedly, the woman immediately grabbed Fane by the collar and shouted, "I don't care. My son was okay before. She was crying and could talk to others. Now he was just lying on the ground and not even moving. I don't care, I want my son to wake up now!"
Selena could not speak anymore. He then defended Fane.
"Hey Madam, why are you acting so unreasonable? My husband just risked his life to save your son. How can you think of him like that?"
The woman chuckled and then blabbed indistinctly,
"She must have seen me suddenly raise her prize money by 50 million dollars and realized that I came from a rich, super rich family. Now that he has met me, he feels that 50 million dollars is too little and wants more!"
"You crazy woman!"
Fane's expression turned dark. "If I wanted more money, wouldn't I be able to ask you earlier? Why am I doing something so excessive?"
The woman instantly lost all her bluff and felt that Fane's words also made sense.
However, he did not plan on removing Fane's collar. He then asked, "Then tell me, do you have medical clearance? Are you a doctor from the hospital?"
Fane could not speak anymore. He smiled bitterly, though,
"Although I don't have a medical license nor am I a doctor, I do have great medical knowledge. I know how to save people! Isn't that enough to save someone?"
"Hehe, everybody, look here. He doesn't even have a medical license. How can he prove that he can save people? He's not even a doctor but he dares to touch my son. If my son dies, I'll never let him go!"
The woman laughed out loud, then said in a loud voice,
"Everyone here should be my witness. This kid is really greedy beyond measure. I'm sure it's because he thinks I'm paying less for the reward!"
Fane looked at him impatiently, then moved his cigarette to the woman's arm.
Upon seeing Fane's movements, the woman was startled and immediately removed Fane's collar and took a few steps back.
"You, what do you want? You rascal. Are you trying to snatch me?"
