In the evening, as soon as Lucius finished his bath....
'So this is the current Guild of Human Adventurers?' carmilla asked after looking at the sizable building in front of her.
The Guild Building had at least 5 floors and had a building width of over 25 meters when viewed from the front.
As for the length, Lucius could not see it directly. But he sure is not inferior to its width.
"Why? Different from your shadow?" lucius asked in a soft whisper to himself as he walked into the building of this Adventurer Guild.
'yeah, maybe? If you look around, this building is much more magnificent than the one in my day.' Carmilla replied.
"I'm sure the human kingdom back then wouldn't want to waste too much resources, just for a building that the demons could destroy in an instant." Lucius replied with a light laugh.
'Well, you're right too.'
Lucius walked over while looking at the crowd within this Guild.
Dozens of tables and chairs were neatly arranged on various sides of this large room. Most have been used by existing adventurers.
Some of them seemed to be enjoying the food and drinks the Guild served. Others appear to be discussing in a simple meeting.
The rest were seen standing in front of some notice boards on the East side wall. See what missions are available to them.
"Hmm, he said the Thornback herd was moving towards this city" said one of the heroes who was busy looking at the mission board or Quest along with his group.
"Huh?! You serious?!"
"Mom-isn't this a little bad?"
As the small group began to falter, it appeared that some more veteran adventurers were laughing at them.
"Haha! You idiot! You should be grateful because that means a lot of money to us! Isn't that right?!" shouted one of the adventurers with a large enough body.
On his back was a huge sword tied to his sword sheath neatly.
"While true, but the way you say it is not right, Ironclad." replied a tall woman with bright blue eyes and long black hair in ponytails.
The scar was clearly visible on his left face. A knife incision that still imprints, injuring from the forehead to the cheek.
"Sera's right. And please, don't always show off in front of all the rookies in this Guild. Not all of them have the strongest determination." said the black-robed woman who covered almost her entire body. Some silver ornaments appear to decorate the robe.
At a glance as he moved his hand, the robe slightly opened and revealed a magic wand with bright blue crystals.
"Lyra, since when did you dare to set me up, huh?!" reply Ironclad while shouting loudly.
Behind the two women, there was a figure of a man who was quite short but had a very sturdy body. It even looks a lot more trained than Ironclad.
The man appears to be wearing a thick dark red armor while his weapon is a solid black iron glove with several iron blades on his fingers and the top.
"That's it. We're gonna take that mission, right?" ask the thick-spirited man.
"Well, someone finally understands me. Thanks, Drakon!" reply Ironclad who immediately took out a mission paper on the quest board.
As Lucius glanced at him, he saw a picture of his target prey.
'Py-pyroclaw?! I-they intend to hunt the B-level monsters just four?!' lucius shouted in surprise.
Pyroclaw is a Salamander-type monster with a large body size. It usually appears in mountainous areas and volcanic craters.
With extremely hard scales like steel shields, as well as deadly attack abilities, these monsters were always avoided by adventurers.
Hoping for the soldiers and knights of the kingdom to take care of them.
But this group of adventurers?
They casually walked towards the Guild employee table, handed over the mission they wanted to take, and immediately walked away. I plan to leave this room.
"In that case, we look forward to the news of the Thornback invasion of this city. Because it will be a field of money for us." Ironclad told the Guild employee as he walked away.
Before the end, he stood right before Lucius who had been silent before the door of this adventurer Guild.
"Hmm? Are Guilds now hiring children? Ahaha! Move away boy, this is not the place for you" Ironclad said with a loud laugh, then used his right hand to easily shift Lucius' body.
The moment Ironclad's right hand touched him, Lucius could figure it out directly.
That person doesn't just talk a lot. But it actually had the strength to support his arrogance.
"Before you leave, will you eat first?"
"of course. I want a cow! A lot of beef!"
And those few sentences were the last thing Lucius had heard from them in this Guild. Leaving Lucius speechless at once stunned by their strength and confidence.
'They're really strong, Lucius. Undoubtedly, the four of them are the strongest among all the people currently in this room.' Carmilla explained after noticing everything from within Lucius' body.
"You think that too? Then it's not wrong, right, for me to gain experience here?" lucius replied with a smile that grew wider and wider.
Not wanting to waste any more time, Lucius immediately walked towards one of the Guild employees.
Guild employees were seen sitting behind rows of tables that were as tall as adults. Almost 12 employees can be seen working hard at this time, taking care of various piles of files in front of them.
"Yes.... Excuse me. Can I register as an adventurer here?" lucius asked one of the Guild employees.
"Of course." replied the girl kindly with a pretty wide smile.
"Can you please identify him? Names and abilities alone are enough." he continued briefly after putting aside his previous work.
"Can this card be?" lucius asked while handing over a student card at the Damacia academy.
Suddenly, the Guild employee girl was seen smiling widely. Assuming that there would be talented students joining the Guild in this Arcanum city.
"Wuah! Student at Damacia Academy?! Sure was! They all had students who mingled.... Kat?"
But his smile and happiness instantly faded after seeing Lucius's student identity card.
"Is something wrong?" lucius asked in confusion.
"A-are you really Lucius Nightshade?" ask the girl.
"That's right. Why?"
"Da-from class F?" ask the girl again.
"Yes?"
Hearing Lucius' reply, the girl seemed to let out a sigh as if she had been disappointed by the situation.
"I'm sorry but we can't accept students from class F." replied the girl, handing back Lucius's identity card.
"Eh? Butwhy? Didn't you say names and abilities were enough? I have the ability to fight." Lucius replied annoyedly.
But the girl kept shaking her head. As if I didn't want to hear an explanation from Lucius.
"It's true, but it's for adults who clearly understand the risks of each mission they take. After all, what can an F class student do like you?
Isn't class F a failed student who will soon be expelled from the academy? Hahaha.." replied the girl with a light laugh as if disparaging.
"Is there no way I can join?" ask Lucius again.
"certain. Come back after 18 years old. By then the Guild will accept you, no matter how weak you are. Although, I myself do not recommend committing suicide in a Guild mission." the girl replied, now with the hospitality and smile that had returned to her.
In the end, Lucius returned to his inn empty-handed.
Failed to be able to join the Adventurers Guild. It's just....
'Does monster hunting have to join those Guilds first? I don't think it's necessary, do I? You just need to get out of the city and pick yourself the monster you're going to hunt. Why bother?' suddenly Carmilla said.
"Eh?"
At that moment, Lucius remembered. That he did not need any extra money for his life at this time.
The money shared by Alex before was enough for all his needs and life at the Academy.
So why force joining a Guild?
What it needs is experience. Not money. With a big smile, Lucius replied.
"You're right. What do you think if starting tonight I'm training out of town?"
'A fascinating idea.'
