The Demon King's heir

The Demon King's heir
CHAPTRE. 24 - LUU HOUYI II

A few moments before.

”Cih! Exorbitant! Why did that memory reappear?!” muttered Luu Houyi who looked annoyed. He stood in front of his desk clutching his head quite firmly. His teeth were grinding and both his eyes were covered by his pony hair. Right now he was annoyed that Shin Yixuan had asked him to become her Master when, he did not want her at all. His goal of coming to Xieyu hill was to look for someone. However, who would have thought his journey would not be as smooth as he imagined.

He noticed the image of his face reflected through a bronze mirror. A dagger that was on his desk, was taken slowly by him. He looked at the knife and placed it next to his own neck.

”I don't deserve to live longer than this. Do I have to end it now?”

Luu Houyi looked at his face. He looked terrified and both his hands trembled as he was about to kill himself. However, he knew very well the limits he had. He could not torture himself more than this. The problem would never end if he died at this point.

”Ah!”

Luu Houyi suddenly regained his senses as soon as he felt something waiting for him out there. Instantly, his gaze immediately turned to the door of his room and watched him for a while. Without putting his knife, he walked up to the door and stopped in front of him for a short time. He hardened his fist and looked at her with a serious expression.

”You're trying to show me something? I knew he was the son of the seventh Demon King and I knew what happened to him when he was 16. Do you want me to grant her request that I become her teacher?”

Luu Houyi was seen talking to someone in his room. At that time, no one was there but himself. Then, shortly after, something made him open the door of his room a little and he finally stepped out.

With the dagger still hanging in his right hand, he looked at the sleeping Shin Yixuan next to his door. His gaze looked cold and lit up in the middle of the night. His fist was so strong that it almost hurt his own palm.

”If I kill him, will this memory disappear?”

Luu Houyi bit his lips in annoyance. He looked at Shin Yixuan coldly and a knife he was about to lift up. While doing so, Luu Houyi briefly muttered, ”This is all your fault! Your fault really!”

”Ah! I finally found it.” said the young man who stood in the middle of the forest while staring at the sky that looked pitch-black. In his right hand right now, he was holding the head of a young man who was lost within the forest. His eyes glow red like wild animals eyeing their prey.

The young man smiled a grin and he began to move his legs forward. ”Seventh king! Just wait for my gift.”

Slowly, Shin Yixuan tried to open her tired-looking eyes. As soon as he looked at Shin Buyen who was in front of his face, he tried to remember something why he was here.

”Ah! Also true! Where's Uncle Luu? I have to study with him!” said Shin Yixuan who instantly noticed it.

Shin Buyen looked surprised and tried to calm him down. ”... Houyi had been gone since this morning. And why are you sleeping in this place? Did Yixuan keep persuading him to want to be your teacher?” ask Shin Buyen.

”Yes! Uncle Luu must be my Teacher because Dad never wanted to teach me!” shin Yixuan replied with her face that looked solemn.

Shin Buyen sighed and stared at her heartlessly. It's like saving something that might disappoint him later. ”... I don't think you'll be able to persuade him. He will never teach anyone again.” said Shin Buyen as he grabbed his shoulder.

Shin Yixuan immediately looked at him in disappointment and asked, ”Why did Mom say that to me? Uncle Luu would have taught me.”

Shin Buyen instantly distracted him for a moment. He hesitated to say something that no one could possibly hide. ”... I know that this is not the right time but, it looks like you should know it now.” he said.

”... In the past, Houyi once had a disciple who was the same age as you. He trained him for two years and they always went out on the same road. But it can't go on much longer. Your father killed him after he got word from the goddess of fortune telling him that he was going to kill you when you were born. There wasn't much Houyi could do at the time. After everything happened so quickly, Houyi could only look at the corpse of his disciple who already had no heart. Every night, he would come to visit and tell me everything. He always tried to end his life but, he was too afraid to do so. In the end, he left and decided to become an heirloom swordsman. Now, do you know why he didn't want to raise a disciple?”

Shin Yixuan who was listening to his story started to feel very sad. His eyes were puffy and his mouth was speechless. ”Why did Uncle Luu keep him alone? He would definitely not be able to hold it any longer! I'll go look for him!” said Shin Yixuan who immediately ran away leaving him.

”Wait! Yixuan!” shin Buyen was trying to catch up to him. However, Shin Furong's cries grew louder, making Shin Buyen finally not go after him.

Meanwhile, in the forest just under a tree of flowers tabebuya, there is a pusara wood that does not have a name. The mound of land was already covered by weeds and some petals of flowers falling on it. The fragrance of dew made the atmosphere turn quieter than before.

At this time, Luu Houyi was asleep in front of the tomb with his knees bent overnight. No one was standing there. There was only him and also someone buried within it.

Just as it happened, Luu Houyi heard the voice of a young man who was like he was standing behind him. The young man kept calling it ”Guru.” repeatedly like he was waking him up. It bothered him and made him open his eyes slowly. He looked at a young man sitting next to him with a happy-looking face.

”Rui!”

Luu Houyi immediately grabbed the young man's hand with a surprised-looking expression and thought that this young man was his disciple. However, after he blinked a few times, the figure of the young man disappeared and turned into a figure of Shin Yixuan who looked surprised as Luu Houyi held back his hand all of a sudden.
