Shin Yu's

Shin Yu's
Shin Yu's New Residence

Nam Quan's explanation stopped when the two of them got in front of one of the buildings there, Nam Quan opened the door and found several people who were walking from the opposite direction. They were all children of Shin Yu's age, and one of them had a body that was twice as big as a child his age.

"Hm, isn't it still your practice hours? Why are you here?" ask Nam Quan to be curious.

"Senior Quan! We asked Master to take out a wooden sword in the storage room." replied the big-bodied boy while revealing a number of wooden swords in both hands.

"Ah, so..." Nam Quan nodded slightly, then held Shin Yu's head, "By the way, this is your new friend. His name is Shin Yu, I hope you can be good friends with him."

The four children stared at Shin Yu for a while before looking back at Nam Quan, "Don't the soldier registration time have ended two months ago?" ask one flashy red-haired boy.

"There's a special reason why he can come in here, I'll let him know after your training is over" Nam Quan said with a smile.

They stared at each other with curious looking expressions, then greeted the friendly Shin Yu with a smile.

Shin Yu responded to their greeting with a flat expression, even so they seemed unconcerned by her reaction and asked a few questions.

After exchanging words for some time, Nam Quan told them to leave immediately because their Master would be angry if it took too long here. They of course left immediately out of fear of it, Nam Quan who saw them running around in tears just chuckled.

"They're good kids, I hope you can be friends with them" Nam Quan told Shin Yu.

"Friends, huh?" Shin Yu muttered softly.

"The reaction is very flat, it's hard to read what he's thinking right now." Nam Quan said inwardly, "Did she experience any trauma after all the events she had gone through?"

Nam Quan already knew the reason why Shin Yu was enlisted as a soldier by his father, "Well, I guess let time answer..."

After that, Nam Quan and Shin Yu entered the building and told him that from now on he would stay here. Inside the building there is not only a bed but a toilet, kitchen, storage space and even a place to study like a mini library.

Nam Quan introduced every space in the building to Shin Yu, and it only took less than one stick of incense to burn to do so.

"Because this building is quite spacious so not only would-be soldiers live here, but some young soldiers my age also live here." nam Quan said after they stepped out of the building, "I hope you can be at home..."

Shin Yu momentarily stared at the towering building before nodding her head.

"Then, do you want to see the kids practice? By looking at them maybe you can prepare for the next day." asked Nam Quan with a faint smile.

"I want to." Shin Yu answered briefly, and Nam Quan directly led him out of the area.

The two of them then arrived at the grass field filled with dozens of children, most of them were doing physical training while the rest were practicing their sparring using wooden swords.

On the other hand, an old geezer who was watching over all the children was aware of the arrival of the two of them, his eyes momentarily pointed towards Shin Yu before turning him to Nam Quan who was walking towards him.

"Greetings, senior Gu." Nam Quan cupped his hands together, "Has senior had breakfast?"

"Yes, I already did it a few hours ago." senior Gu replied nonchalantly, "Is he the child your father told you about?"

"That's how it is, from tomorrow he will be training here." said Nam Quan as he nodded.

"What about his talent? I don't want to accept a stupid disciple." senior Gu asked in a stern tone.

Senior Gu sighed before his eyes looked at Shin Yu, "Your physique is very lousy, but you are quite talented at opening small meridians." senior Gu said, "Thank your hands, please, let's see how high your cultivation talent is."

"My cultivation talent is not good at all because it has an orange-colored dantian, which is why I focused on opening the Little Meridian." Shin Yu said calmly, her flat expression making Nam Quan and senior Gu difficult to read her thoughts.

"Then what do I care? If I ask you to raise your hand, then raise your hand." senior Gu said indifferently.

Shin Yu was silent for a moment and thinking about how to avoid this, she slightly snapped as senior Gu grabbed her right hand and then closed his eyes.

Senior Gu did not open his eyes for nearly three minutes, and it clearly made Nam Quan feel strange and a little suspicious.

Nam Quan was about to call out his senior's name, but he broke his intentions when senior Gu suddenly opened his eyes.

"Huh, senior? Is something going on?" Nam Quan immediately asked out of curiosity.

"Hm, what does that mean?" senior Gu looked at Nam Quan with a face of astonishment.

"You barely opened your eyes for three minutes, I guess something happened while examining Shin Yu's cultivation talent?"

"There's nothing special, I just checked it over and over again so as not to get it wrong." retorted senior Gu, "He's indeed not talented in cultivation, but I think he's talented in opening small meridians."

"Hm?" Nam Quan slightly tilted his head.

"Your father should have known that this boy had opened up his six small meridians." said senior Gu calmly.

Nam Quan slightly widened his eyes in surprise, he looked at Shin Yu then asked, "How can you do it? Aren't you still a layman about it?"

"My uncle is also a cultivator, he taught me how to open small meridians." Shin Yu immediately replied.

"But didn't you just meet your uncle after the deaths of your parents? Did he directly teach you how to become a cultivator?" ask Nam Quan once more.

"Yes, since I am not talented enough to be a cultivator, therefore uncle gave me a suggestion to open my small meridians. He said that I could rival people who were more talented than me using this way." Shin Yu explained without a trace.

"That makes sense, but opening those little meridians is very difficult. Even I myself just opened 21 dots." Nam Quan was still surprised by the fact.

"He may be the lowest in cultivation talent, but he has a knack for opening small meridian points." senior Gu said quickly, "I think I can accept him as a disciple."

"Thank God, then, I had intended to persuade senior after knowing his talent." Nam Quan chuckled as he scratched his non-itchy head.

Senior Gu gave a small snort, "Other times bring Baijiu to persuade me, if only words would not be able to melt my stance."

"Haha... I'll remember, senior." Nam Quan laughed, "By the way, how are they progressing?"

"Not too bad, although enlisting into the army was their last resort but none of them were lazing around here." senior Gu replied as he turned his gaze towards the children who were training.

"Well, I don't think anyone dares to be lazy in front of you, senior." Nam Quan retorted, while senior Gu put on an expression as if proud of the statement.

The two of them chatted while staring at the training children, Shin Yu also did the same thing but the difference was that he only listened to the conversation of the two adults without interfering in the least.
