Shin Yu's

Shin Yu's
Cultivation level

Cultivation realm had five levels with 15 stars at each level. Forging Qi was the earliest level one treaded the path of Cultivator, then Qi Refinement, followed by Golden Core, then Nascent Soul and until the last, Immortal.

Now that Shin Yu was at the Forging Qi level of a 1st beast, she could soon reach 2-star if she was willing to cultivate for some time.

Right now Shin Yu was still under the tree and was doing deep meditation to search for her Little Meridian, because some time ago he had found another Small Meridian point so now he had five Small Meridians open.

Shin Yu slowly opened her eyes and pecked at one part of her body, the sixth Little Meridian had been opened by her so that her body was increasingly sensitive to the surrounding energy. Shin Yu had wanted to resume her deep meditation but she found some horse carriages carrying quite a lot of stuff behind her, they seemed to be a group of merchants who wanted to go to the city through this path.

Seeing them from the same direction made Shin Yu sure that they had seen the incident that happened at the inn.

When they were less than a hundred meters away, a young man descended from the top of the carriage and ran towards Shin Yu.

"What happened to you, little boy?" the young man immediately asked, his gaze looking like curious but as if knowing something.

Shin Yu did not immediately reply but thought for a moment, while the young man rubbed Shin Yu's head with his right hand and then said, "I am Ma Hong, a man from the Three Flags Supervisory Bureau. I'm not a bad person so you don't have to be afraid..."

Shin Yu himself looked at Ma Hong who was showing a gentle smile, "I am Shin Yu, I escaped from the inn that was attacked by the bandits." Shin Yu replied while pointing to the path she had gone through before.

"So right, huh?" Ma Hong muttered with a serious expression, "Who are you staying with there?"

"With my uncle."

"Then where is your uncle?" Ma Hong asked again, although he knew this question could be sensitive but he had to make sure.

"I don't know..." Shin Yu shook her head slowly, "Uncle asked me to wait in the room while he went to the ground floor to take care of the bandits, "Uncle asked me to wait in the room while he went to the ground floor to take care of the bandits, I could initially just shut up and decided to jump down from the second floor to hide among the bushes."

"Then, what else do you see?"

"Not long after I jumped down, the inn collapsed and there were a few people fighting each other. I'm not too sure, but it looks like three-on-one and that guy got killed." Shin Yu explained calmly.

"That's it, huh?" Ma Hong muttered, then turned his head back and found two young men dressed the same as him, "That was a bandit..."

"Bandits? Those bastards don't seem to be afraid of the Imperial law anymore, do they?" a young man with a large body looked furious.

"Who is this little boy?" asked the other young man who had a double sword at his waist.

"He was with his uncle staying at the inn, and it seemed like only he had managed to survive the incident." whispered Ma Hong so as not to be heard by Shin Yu.

The two young men simultaneously looked at Shin Yu, then took a few steps away and began to discuss. At the time of the discussion, several middle-aged men came over.

"Is something going on, bodyguard?" ask a middle-aged man who has a distended stomach as well as a thick mustache.

"The boy was the victim of the wreckage of the inn we saw earlier, we wanted to take him to a nearby town and have the town take care of him." Ma Hong explained calmly.

The middle-aged man momentarily looked at Shin Yu, then let out a long sigh, "Alright, as long as he doesn't hinder this trip, it won't be a problem."

"Thank you for your generosity." Ma Hong slightly lowered his body, then walked over to Shin Yu, "Little boy, come with us to the nearest town. It's not safe to be alone in this kind of open space."

Shin Yu gave a small nod as a sign of her agreeing, then they both got on the carriage and continued on the journey through the line.

During the trip, Shin Yu was asked a few things by the three young men who were the bodyguards of the merchants. Starting from where he lives, who his uncle is, and where his parents are.

Shin Yu could only answer as he could, of course he made up some things about his uncle and hid the identity of Liu Kang who was an Outer Elder of the 5th sect of the Sword King.

Hearing the story of Shin Yu made the people who heard it feel pity, including some people who were with the distended merchant.

"It's only been 10 years but it's been through this kind of event, what a pity..."

"The Black Stream is indeed the problem, if in this World there were none they might all be prosperous."

Some people began to curse the black flow, in contrast to the three bodyguards from the Bureau who just kept silent without opening the slightest sound.

"Little boy, are you hungry?" the bodyguard who had a large stature asked with a smile.

"Ugh, brother, you look disgusting if you smile like that" said the double-switched bodyguard.

"Be quiet, Le Jun."

"I'm not hungry..." Shin Yu shook her head slightly.

"If you're hungry just say it, don't hesitate."

"I understand." Shin Yu gave a small nod without giving the slightest expression.

The three of them did not pay much heed to the flat reaction Shin Yu gave, the three of them thought that the boy had been traumatized after the incident that had befallen him at the inn.

For less than a day's journey, they all ended up in a city whose borders were protected by sturdy concrete walls.

"Le Jun, Le Yun, I'm taking this kid to the City Building Center. You guys take care of the payment, we regroup at the tavern I appointed earlier." said Ma Hong after getting off the horse carriage.

"All right..." Le Jun and Le Yun replied simultaneously, while Ma Hong directly invited Shin Yu away from there.

The City Building Center is where a City Leader works, there is a place for residents to take care of something related to the City.

Ma Hong used his authority as the manpower of the Three Flags Guard Bureau to pass through the queue, he along with Shin Yu were taken to the room of someone who was taking care about the security of the city territory.

"Please sit down." said an old man with a thin white mustache.

Ma Hong and Shin Yu sat on the seats that had been provided, then they started to talk about the incident that happened at the inn.

"Did they have a special sign like a tattoo or a crest on their clothes?" ask the old man to Shin Yu.

"No, they don't have it."

The old man folded his hands together in front of his chest and watched Shin Yu closely, then he turned his eyes to Ma Hong and said, "I will send a division of investigators to the site to look for some evidence, maybe this case will last a long time and can not be estimated when it ends."

"I understand." Ma Hong nodded once, then asked, "By the way, is there a place for this child to stay for a while?"

The old man was silent for a moment, he already knew that both Shin Yu's parents had died and most likely his uncle had also died after the incident.

"Do you want to be a city soldier? If you want, you'll get decent facilities and money in old age."

"Can I go out later?" asked Shin Yu curiously.

"Yes, you can do it. But, your allowance will be forfeited because you are out of your own accord." replied the old man calmly.

Shin Yu did not immediately reply but rather pondered his decision for some time, in fact he was reluctant to stay in this city because it would definitely be an eyewitness to Liu Kang's death at the inn, but this world was too cruel for such a weak child.

If Shin Yu kept up her choice of not being an eyewitness and leaving this city, she would have to be forced to survive without bringing anything but her own clothes.

After being silent for quite a while finally Shin Yu agreed to become the soldier of this city, Ma Hong was obviously happy to hear that then thanked the old man.

"Go back tomorrow, I will take care of the registration papers first" the old man said as he looked at Ma Hong.

"I understand." Ma Hong nodded, then cupped his hands, "Once again I thank you, sir. Then I'm back."

The old man gave a small nod, then Ma Hong and Shin Yu walked away from there calmly.
