Shin Yu could hear the sounds of clashing and shouting from the ground floor, occasionally he could see there were people running around in the second floor hallway.
"The worst possibility is that the bandits managed to kill them." Shin Yu muttered, then stood facing the window of the room which exposed the endless meadow with a pitch-black atmosphere, "I would definitely be hurt if I forced myself to jump down from here, but... injuries are much better than having to hide in this room."
Had the bandits managed to kill all the innkeepers on the ground floor, they would have climbed up to the second floor and checked one room at a time.
"Well, there is no other choice." muttered Shin Yu, then threw the sword given by Liu Kang down.
Before Shin Yu jumped down, she closed her eyes and tried to feel the energy around her. Not long after, a certain amount of energy entered his body and his body emitted a golden light.
Shin Yu who was just an ordinary human had now officially become a cultivator at the 1-star Forging Qi level.
"I didn't think it could be this easy." Shin Yu slowly opened her eyes, whereas she was just trying to control the energy around her but that was happening a little beyond her expectations.
Yet in this way Shin Yu could control the energy in his body at will, he then tried to coat his legs with energy and it took less than a minute.
Shin Yu's goal was to do this so that she could minimize the impact of the fall when jumping down from the second floor, the plan was clearly only made after Liu Kang came out of the room.
Shin Yu then took a deep breath before jumping down from the second floor.
Brugh!
Shin Yu landed perfectly but dislocated her right leg and left a deep blue bruise, she momentarily stared at the wound before picking up the sword around her and walking away from the inn.
On the other hand, Liu Kang gritted his teeth when he saw that the atmosphere on the ground floor was so chaotic and terrifying. Many pools of blood and dozens of bodies were still fresh.
Visitors who still survive against the bandits are left less than ten, they are in a cornered position because they have to fight four bandits at once for each person.
Liu Kang then turned his gaze towards the three 12 and 13-star Qi Refinement bandits who were watching the situation leisurely while drinking wine on the outskirts of the table.
The attention that Liu Kang gave was clearly realized by the three bandits, they were immediately wary because the old man watching them was a 15-star Qi Refinement.
Liu Kang instantly took out a sword from empty air, then dashed forward towards the three bandits.
Bam!
An exchange of attacks instantly occurred between the four of them and made the fight around stop in shock. Every attack they launched managed to create a terrible impact, the simple inn they occupied would not be able to accept all the attacks.
In less than a minute alone, the simple inn collapsed and befell everyone there including Liu Kang himself. However, the collapse of the inn did not hinder that battle between Qi Refinement, they went back to fighting and this time the impact that occurred was much more terrifying than before.
Liu Kang executed the moves that the 5-star Sword King sect had, even though his status was only an Outer Elder but he still inherited some of the moves from that 8-star sect.
The three bandits who were against Liu Kang had gotten a little difficult, indeed in terms of ability the three of them lost far but if their experience was put together then Liu Kang could not possibly survive.
Within the time one stick of incense burned, Liu Kang was made sprawled with both arms severed. The three bandits also received quite severe injuries but did not suffer from disabilities like their opponents.
"Based on old man asshole, if it wasn't for his nurse maybe you were just a stray dog class."
"Okay, first brother."
The youngest-looking bandit among the three of them instantly approached Liu Kang, the old man could only smile bitterly at the death that was about to come to him soon.
"I hope Shin Yu can survive." Liu Kang felt guilty for breaking down the inn, "Fuckin' bandit, I hope you go to Hell."
"Talk a lot to you!" The youngest bandit of the three brothers swung his machete and cut off Liu Kang's neck, "Sister, it looks like he's from a white stream."
"Yes, that's obvious, isn't it? His Qi was in no way a black spot like a cultivator that came from the Black Stream." the second brother replied.
Keep in mind, the White and Black flow cultivators had a slightly noticeable difference in energy. The cultivator of the White stream had clean energy without any stains or spotting, in contrast to the Black flow cultivator who definitely had black or red patches in their energy flow.
"Sister, he is from the sect of the 5 Sword Kings!" the third sister exclaimed when she saw the emblem on Liu Kang's shirt, the 5 Swords emblem floating in the air.
The first brother and second brother immediately approached their sister and examined Liu Kang's corpse, their hearts seeming to stop beating for a moment when they saw the emblem on the old man's clothes.
"Damn it, he's from a big sect apparently?!" second brother couldn't help but curse.
"No need to panic, I will burn the body." said the first brother calmly, "You better gather our surviving men and burn the ruins of the inn. Don't leave any traces or evidence, okay?"
"We understand, brother." said the two loudly.
......................
A few hours later, the sun began to rise and replaced the beautiful moonlight. A little boy was limping because his right leg was sprained, he approached the corpse of someone who had been burned to the boil.
"Chairman, thank you for the lesson you've been giving all this time." Shin Yu paid her respects one last time, "It seems like there's nothing left, huh?"
Shin Yu looked at the ruins of the inn that were still emitting black smoke, "Well, it's a pity." muttered Shin Yu before turning around and leaving Liu Kang's corpse along with the people around the ruins of the inn.
Shin Yu did not bury their corpses as he was reluctant to be an eyewitness, as Liu Kang was an Elder of a large sect hence his death would be investigated for some time, and if he were to bury them and accidentally leave behind evidence of an energy trail or something, that would be a troublesome variable for him.
......................
"How long will it take to get to the end of this road?"
After walking for several hours, Shin Yu rested under a tree that grew around the merchant path.
Due to Liu Kang's death, Shin Yu thus lost interest in going to the 5th sect of the Sword King. Now his goal was to find a place for himself to stay for some time to come, as well as he would try to increase his cultivation just in case.
Had the bandits not brought Liu Kang's storage ring, maybe Shin Yu had some options for his purpose.
Shin Yu daydreamed when the sun was already right above her head, she did not feel at all sad after losing Liu Kang not even a thought came to revenge to those bandits.
Shun Yu alone had no intention of taking revenge on the people who killed his parents, so why should he think of such a thing in the old man he had only known for about a week?
