Once completed UN (National Present) he asked his mother's blessing to open his own cafe next to his mother's boutique. His mother allowed him to stay in college and split his time. Finally with the capital of his savings and additional money from his mother he opened his own cafe.

He named his cafe Osu Cafe. Osu (pronounced oss or osh) is a word commonly spoken by the karateka. Osu is derived from the two words OSHI and SHINOBU. Oshi means pressure and Shinobu means patience/survive. The combination of these two words means staying/patient in pressure or often also means never giving up. So he took the philosophy from that word to always work hard and fight to the end in building his cafe business.
