The next morning, Gayatri did her usual morning run after waking up like the previous days. She was wearing a simple white shirt and looked graceful even though there was no special expression on her pretty face. If anything, only a chill seeped through the glitter of his face.
When passers-by noticed his presence in succession, their eyes twinkled with shock and awe. It was as if bringing magic to every eye that looked.
After running, Gayatri headed to the market and went home to make soup and prepare breakfast.
He was so good at cooking that Teguh could not stop praising his talent every time he tasted his food. “You are really impressive, my nephew! This chicken porridge tastes much better than you find in the shops!”
After saying that, Teguh seemed to remember something, so she said, "Oh right, someone called this morning looking for you."
"Who is that?" Gayatri was stunned for a moment.
“He said that he is the owner of Traditional Herbal Depot Wonokromo.”
Gayatri suddenly recalled the moment she went to buy medicine for her mother. "Did he say something?"
Firmly replied, "He asked you to go to his depot this morning if you were free."
"All right." Gayatri nodded.
After breakfast, Gayatri takes a shower and plans to get out. He went to buy his own phone, signed up for a phone package, and then went to Wonokromo's DJT store.
"Hello, are you looking for me?"
"You're here, young girl." The depot owner's eyes sparkled when he saw Gayatri, so he hurriedly welcomed her inside.
“There can I help?”
The depot owner continued, "Young girl, I'm looking for you because I need your help."
"Continue."
“Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Maspati!”
Maspati has a nephew, and he fell seriously ill a year ago. The disease went undiagnosed due to rather strange symptoms. He consulted countless doctors during this period, but his illness grew more serious by the day until he was on the verge of death.
As a result, family members want to try traditional Indonesian medicine. Maspati notices how the recipes written by Gayatri in the past were basically perfect, so he tries to seek Gayatri's help to check on his nephew.
“This issue does not allow delays. Please take me to check it.” said Gayatri.
"certain." Maspati.
He left a few words with a staff member at the store and then took Gayatri to his nephew's house.
The nephew of Maspati was no ordinary person. He lives in a villa located in a wealthy estate and has several servants in his house.
"Uncle, you're here." The woman in the house was very beautiful, and she looked to be around 27 or 28 years old. However, it was obvious that the dark circles under his eyes looked rather severe.
Maspati then said, “Khumairah, this is Gayatri, a practitioner of traditional Indonesian medicine that I told you about. Gayatri, this is my nephew, Khumairah.”
Khumairah had just seen Gayatri standing next to the depot owner. An expression of astonishment flashed past his gaze.
The woman looked very beautiful, but she looked too young. Will he treat his illness? Can it really happen?
Gayatri took the initiative to greet Khumairah. "Hello, my name is Gayatri."
“Halo, Gayatri. Please sit down." Khumairah ordered the waiter to serve tea.
Gayatri sat down and drank a sip of tea. "Please take me to see the patient."
Khumairah hesitated for a moment but finally replied, "Sure."
Although the girl was young, she was highly recommended by her uncle, Maspati. So, he could not simply ignore his uncle's efforts.
His bedroom was large, and the smell of disinfectant filled the air. It's not a pleasant smell. Like a hospital stay.
The man was so thin that his body lost its shape. He lay still on the bed, and there were no vital signs visible from his body.
Gayatri sat by the bed, stretched out her hand, and placed her finger in the man's vein while she focused on him.
After a while, he loosened his grip on the man's wrist and looked up to see Khumairah. "Mrs Khumairah, does your husband like to eat raw meat?”
Khumairah looked dumbfounded for a moment, but then she nodded. "Yes! He likes to consume raw meat such as beef and pork.”
Gayatri nodded. “It's true then. Your husband has a very rare condition known as Taeniasis Disease. It is very rare for humans to get this disease, and it is usually spread by ingesting raw meat.”
“Taeniasis Disease?”
Gayatri continued, “In simpler terms, this is a parasitic disease, and there are fewer than three cases diagnosed globally!”
“If it is a parasite, why did the hospital not find it when we did the examination?” Khumairah asked straightforwardly.
Gayatri explained, “It was because of the Taenia Parasite or translucent and thread-like tapeworm. This parasite is very cunning. Because after finding its human host, it will fuse into the meat of the host, so it is very difficult to find it using the currently available technology.”
The disease is very common in the world where Gayatri lives, it's like the common cold. However, Gayatri did not understand why people in this era could contract it as well.
"If you don't believe me, I can prove it to you." Gayatri took off the blanket and pressed some trigger points on the man's chest with her left hand.
"Hoooo!" The man who was lying on the bed suddenly sat down and spewed out a mouthful of fresh blood onto the ground. Then, he fainted again.
Khumairah. “Yeri! Yeri!”
Gayatri then said, “Money Khumairah, please see the floor.”
Khumairah lowered her head to look at the floor, and her face turned deathly pale in an instant. "What! What's that!?"
A few worms like transparent threads wriggled in red blood. The view was amazingly awful.
“It is a Parasite Taenia.”
Compared to the panicked owner of the pharmacy and Khumairah, Gayatri was very calm.
"Miss Gayatri, please save my husband, I beg of you! Please save him!” Khumairah unconsciously switched from calling her as Gayatri to Miss Gayatri. It was a sign of his trust in Gayatri.
“Don't worry, Miss Khumairah. I will definitely do my best.”
"Are you carrying a pen and paper?" Gayatri asked.
“I provide! I'll get!" Khumairah hurriedly ordered her servant to bring her a pen and paper.
Later, Gayatri lowered her head and wrote the recipe before giving it to Khumairah. “Consumption of the drug according to the prescription. I'll be back to follow up after one week.”
"Sure! Of course, all right!" Khumairah accepted the recipe. He was so emotional that he involuntarily knelt down. "Miss, if you can heal my husband, you will be a benefactor to our entire family!”
Gayatri hurriedly helped Khumairah stand back up. "Mrs Khumairah, it is not too late for you to thank me when your husband is fully healed.”
After Gayatri left the house, Khumairah immediately ordered her servant to buy the herbs listed on the recipe.
She then called her mother-in-law Parwati to tell her the good news.
Parvati immediately rushed to the house after hearing the matter. “Khumairah, is Yeri really curable? Where's doctor? I want to meet him!”
There is also Parvati's niece, Kinan who came with Parwati.
